Depends on merit. At least compared to the other South African batsmen, Temba Bavuma has underperformed at international level. On top of that, he is more suitable for the test format. Dean Elgar's case is similar to Steve Smith of Australia. He is also not suitable for T20 format. On the other hand, Sisanda Magala went for a massive amount of ZAR 5.4 million. Lungi Ngidi was sold for ZAR 3.4 million. So race played hardly any part in this auction. It needs to be seen though, whether the South African Board will force quotas for the franchise league in the long term.

Home ground or not, Aussies are always good in ICC tournaments.

Sri Lanka tasted a new success after a long time, actually they performed better in the last 2-3 months, so they are in good form.

South Africa is also upping their game. England and Australia are already terrific sides. Pakistan can surprise anyone. India is a big team but in ICC tournaments they are choking since 2013-14. Then we have Kiwis and Windies. Safe to say that this T-20 WC is going to be a belter.

On records yes I agree Australia is exceptionally best in the ICC tournament. Srilanka might have performed better in the last 2-3 months but I still think they are not a team that can be considered as the top 4 probably who could win the upcoming world cup. In my opinion, the 4 are England, Australia, India, and the Kiwis. Still, any team can suddenly outshine their performance.

I am eagerly waiting to watch India vs Australia's first T20 match today. Hope the match will be competitive. Both teams have a strong squad. But I am waiting to see Virat Kohli's performance today. After a long time we got to see good performances from Kohli in Asia Cup matches. He is back in form. Although India did not even qualify for the final of the Asia Cup, their performance was good. Looking forward to see how Virat Kohli will perform against the experienced bowlers of Australia.

That's exactly my point. When franchises spend millions of dollars then they won't entertain any quota type system and solely focus on merits, that's what happened in this auction.

It reminds us again about the poor state of the SA's selection policy for the national team.

What a shit show by Kholi, playing in home condition still he struggles. Why still the crowd cheered for him when India lost Rohit? I am still trying to understand. Yes, he is known to be the replacement of Tendulkar but I doubt it now. Rohit Sharma leaves the field after scoring 11 runs. Kholi is another reliable batsman who throws wickets for just two runs. Apart from KL Rahul, none of the batsmen stayed on the pitch, choosing to give wickets instead, which can easily be made up for by a higher strike rate later. A decent target against Aussies can't be set until the run rate is decent enough. Both KL Rahul and Yadav should have good strike rates on the pitch.

Rahul got out at 55 from 35 ball  and the strike rate is over 157 that was a outstanding performance by Rahul  and Sr yadav is also going to the same way by Rahul . India has more 7 wicket and there are also 7 over ball available I think the batting performance from india was so good and  If they can continue like this I think  180runs can be easily possible.

After 16 overs, India collected 148 runs. Indian batsmen are batting well. Especially KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Panda are batting well. But we don't see a better performance from Virat Kohli. He returned to the dressing room after collecting only 2 runs from 7 balls. Kohli showed great performance against comparatively weaker teams in the Asia Cup. But he was not able to stay at the crease for long against the Australian bowlers. In fact, he is yet to return to form.
India will probably give a target of 190-200 today. If the bowlers perform well, India will be able to win this run easily. But Australia's batsmen are also experienced. They will continue to strive to win.

Well everyone is watching the India-Australia match and no doubt India has managed to score a very decent score. They are playing very well but we have another match being played at Karachi between England and Pakistan.

Pakistan is playing even better and has scored 81 runs in 9 overs with zero wickets down. Both Baber and Rizwan are playing with utmost confidence.

Bloody hell Kungfu Pandya is something.

If he was fit enough to play the test cricket then I have virtually no doubt that he's top all rounder in cricket history, even likes of Sobers will look like minnows to him if he's on the song. Unfortunately, he's not so no chance for him and that's a big setback.

Hardik Pandya finished with style for India. Making hat trick sixes in the last three balls of the innings is really interesting and much wanted runs.
