When compared to the other options we have, Rishabh Pant seems like the ideal choice. He is a bit volatile, but it is OK. I would still rate him ahead of Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan. Enough chances were given to both Samson and Kishan, but they constantly underperformed at international level. These two are more suitable for IPL, and not for international cricket. Also, in case of Samson already there are accusations of bias in selection (Riyan Parag selected over Karun Nair, for Rajasthan Royals).

Finally the 8 over match have come to an end. India won by 6 wickets and 4 balls left. It was Rohit Sharma who made it a win for India with his performance of 46 runs from 20 balls. The finishing took place as expected, Dinesh Karthik ended with a four. Now the T20 series got levelled and the third T20 will be the decider. Batting second have won in both the matches.

I don't really think result of this match can be taken in consideration while deciding statistics. This match was pretty much an outlier. Both the teams played with an entirely different intent which was to just score runs irrespective of how many wickets to protect. Even the batsmen can't be judged on today's performance except of Rohitman who proved why he is called the Hitman. If he, Kohli and Rahul are back in form India will get a good shape overall.

Yeah and also these sorts of matches are very tough on bowlers. There are hardly any chance for then when the batter starts swinging bat from the 1st ball.

These kinds of scenarios give batters an extra advantage as they hardly care of losing wickets and when teams are packed with power hitters it makes the bowler's job more challenging.

He played almost 60 T-20I and still no sign of Pantball. IMO he needs exposure in top-3, probably at the opening slot. Management wasting his talent in middle-lower order.

Bangladesh and Ireland have qualified for the Women's T20 World Cup in 2023. They won the respective semi-final matches during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier. Bangladesh managed to defeat Thailand, while Ireland managed to get past Zimbabwe. Thailand will be missed after their splendid performance in the previous edition. Other teams that will be missed includes Nepal, Netherlands and Scotland. I don't know the logic in having a T20 World  Cup with just 10 teams. According to the ICC, T20 is the preferred format for global expansion. And then what they are doing with a 10-team tournament?

Surprised to see new players popping up for England as well, Ben Duckett and Harry Brook took England to victory with their innings and i expected Pakistan to give a tough challenge this time as well but England bowlers were able to pick wickets at the right time to break the momentum.

In upcoming world cup England is going to be good side with their current strength because they have enough youths those are capable of giving their best specially in this format and as they are playing in this series it's good because most of the players are having good experience for playing into PSL and this is helping them for having good results in this series which is currently going to be very exciting after third match won by England very easily after setting target of 221 for Pakistani batting lineup which badly fail to have any impression while chasing this target.

But, good thing happen for them Shan Masood done good job in middle order, and now they can feel better because they have serious concerns about their middle order and now with him, it's much better for them to improve their batting strength in coming matches and specially for World Cup which is now just after few weeks going to play in Australia.

We have seen for a long time that Pakistan's batting line-up depends on the performance of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. If these two players can play well then Pakistan can win otherwise they lose. I have seen very few matches where Pakistan won despite these two players not performing well. After Babar and Rizwan returned to the crease yesterday with only 8 runs, I was almost certain that Pakistan was going to lose the match. Still Pakistan scored 158 runs. I'd say it's a pretty good collection.

I think that Pakistan is testing out their young bowlers for the world cup up ahead and maybe resting out their senior bowlers which are ok in my opinion but on the other hand England also did score a huge total of 221 runs. I hope that Pakistan will be able to bounce back in the last ODI and maybe this series will get interesting again.

Performance was good, but England completely outclassed Pakistan in all departments. The middle order was led well by Shan Masood, who showed promise. It seems far away for Pakistan to reach 222. World Cup preparation is the purpose of the series. However, this series isn't over yet. Pakistan will definitely square it up on Sunday. It is important to be prepared for surprises in T20 cricket because teams have an equal chance of winning.

Every Pakistan vs England match is very competitive and exciting. Both teams are playing well. But Pakistan is now lagging behind. Since the batting performance of the Pakistan team depends on a few specific players, if these players do not play well, it becomes very difficult for the Pakistan team to win the match. If the Pakistan team does not overcome this weakness, it will not be able to do well in the next World Cup.

Players like Sanju Samson don't get a chance in the team but players like Rishabh Pant who failed repeatedly are getting chances. Only the Indian team selectors can say whether they believe in selecting certain players or looking for good performers.

Well said. They keep relying on Rahul to open considering the fact that he is an excellent opener in the IPL format, but it didn't translate to the international format.

There was a big difference between Pakistan's performance in the last match and Pakistan's performance today, especially in the batting line, they did not show any good performance, and it was a very tough night to say the least.  I think I would request Pakistan to keep their batting line order right now and not rely entirely on certain players.  On the other hand, the team performance of England's Harry Brooks, Ben Duckett, Will Jack in the last match has helped England advance.

My opinion varies from this. No doubt it's unfair for the bowlers but this has given the bowlers the need to innovate in order to stay in the game. All the strategies like back of hand slowers, nuckle balls, carrom balls have become mainstream only after the advent of T20 the shorter the version of game will go more innovation will be brought by the bowlers on the table.
