Insane crowd numbers in the first match of IPL 2023. Gujarat are playing really well even without Miller at the moment. CSK need to remove Tewatia and Khan asap if they wish to somehow win this one.

Shankar is actually playing well for a change. CSK's new bowlers are performing decently considering that this is their first match.

The crowd in IPL was a never problem as most of the ground has a low capacity of 50-60k spectators but this Motera stadium is magnificent with its capacity, vibes are completely different there. I'm planning to go there for the finals, hope I get the tickets when the time comes.

Lost a bet tonight so I'd blame Dubey ji's inning. He did the damage, they were at least 20 runs short and what was that impact player (Deshpande) lol.

Having said that it was a paisa vasool match. I loved the desi commentary like Bhojpuri and Punjabi.

The home crowd along with the supporters of Dhoni have made is massive. As mentioned unlike the venue it is common to see the ground getting housefull. Hahaha Bangladesh underestimated Ireland team brilliantly. That small cricket team gave Bangladesh a humiliating defeat. This kind of loss is not acceptable to a team like Bangladesh. But the Ireland team should be applauded, the team managed to put up a truly remarkable performance.

This was really a surprising win for the Ireland team and a nightmare for the gamblers. Seeing the Ireland's team rating and their recent performances, it was hard to bet on Ireland as almost everyone would have bet on Bangladesh and they lost the bet.

The question is what went wrong with the Bangladesh team that they lost his match? The only thing I can imagine is Bangladesh had already won the last two T20 matches and they already had the series in their name so they took this game a bit casually.

The first match of IPL was quite crowded and enjoyable. Both teams batted well. But the way Chennai started the innings, they should have collected more than 200. They managed to collect 93 runs in the first 10 overs. But their collection was 85 runs in the last 10 overs. Jadeja was expecting a better performance. Had he batted a bit better, Chennai could have easily scored more than 200.

Every batsman of Gujarat Titans has played well. Gujarat is dependent on a particular batsman. Even so, Shubman Gill's innings of 63 off 36 balls were much needed. This excellent inning paved the way for Gujarat's victory.

Man I saw how quickly the IPL tickets in Bangalore went, all the tickets got sold in just a couple of days despite being priced so high, it's just crazy fanbase of IPL in India. Obviously it has always been the stadiums capacity that is limiting the crowd to come into the stadiums. Otherwise for anyone watching a 3.5 hour match is better than watching a movie in a theatre or any similar thing like that.

Man I loved Punjabi commentary it felt as if it was my Gully cricket days commentary    even Bhojpuri one is so funny.

Yeah, ridiculous craze and very pricey for the best seats in the house. I checked a couple of marquee matches seat booking (MI + RCB +CSK) and to my surprise all packed in advance, just a few seats here n there.

I liked Bhojpuri more as they were using a pure form of language. In contrast, Punjabi commentators were going with Chandigarh Punjabi (Pun+Eng).

But Chennai could not maintain consistency after the first 10 overs. If Jadeja had stayed at the crease, Chennai could have scored 15-20 more runs. However, I was enjoying the match between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Punjab Kings so far. Punjab mustered 175/5 in 19 overs. I wouldn't call this a bad collection. However, they had the opportunity to collect more than 200. Shikhar Dhawan scored 40 and Bhanuka Rajapaksha scored 50 runs. Umesh Yadav and Varun were able to bowl well for Kolkata. If Punjab's bowlers can bowl controlled from the beginning of the innings, I think they have more chances to win.
