It would be a bummer for the Poms if it's a washout. They've already suffered similarly in the Group stage but knockout fixture facing washout is heartbreaking. If India were in England's shoes, then the broadcaster would've rioted for obvious reasons.

Honestly, I would prefer the match getting washed out and screwing England since they were extremely lucky reaching this point thanks to Australia and it would be proper karma for their nonsensical win against NZ in that final.

I am not a fan of these shenanigans because it's not fair to teams and players. Yeah, India benefitting this time due to washout but in the last 5-6 years India lost 1 WC semi and 1 WTC final due to rain interruptions, both against Kiwis.  

Having said that, it's a t-20 WC so any scenario is alright because we'll have another T-20 WC in the next 2 years and also in the long run no one remembers T-20 stuff.

England will always have an excuse that the rain wasn't in their favour otherwise the results would have been different.

Everyone still taunts them for the 2019 WC so can't blame them.

The weather is creating a bit of suspense in Guyana but I guess we might have some game anyway because the draining system is quite good at this ground and we have around 3.5 hours of buffer.

I doubt it because these showers have been coming and going since the beginning of the day and it was reported that there was a good chance for the match to get entirely washed out.

We were fearing of the rain and here we go but the good thing is that rain is clear and the next inspection will be in another half an hour. The problem here is that if we have a fewer overs match, then one team may get an advantage over the other and a toss will become very crucial in this situation.

1996 was the first time when I watched the ICC cricket world cup. That was 28 years back. And I have to say that 2024 T20 World Cup was the most pathetic tournament that I have watched ever since I started following cricket. Ticket distribution was chaotic, the tournament was scheduled in the middle of rainy season, grounds with no proper drainage were used to host the matches and tracks were uneven and resulted in low scoring matches. The ICC need to show a bit more respect towards the fans and the media rights holders.

1st semi-final was a one-sided game where SA dominated from the 1st ball and the Proteas pacer shattered the stumps on almost every single delivery. In my opinion, Afghanistan's journey toward the semi-final is very much appreciated and their fans are not criticizing their semi-final performance they are happy with the efforts they put to reach in the semis. Afghanistan should have put a good total on a board and fought hard but they couldn't succeed in putting in a good total anyway its a game and in the end, 1 team won and the other lost and those teams who played good cricket and execute the plans in the ground accordingly won the match.

In the meantime, the umpire has entered the field and inspected whether the field is actually suitable for subsequent runs. It is becoming difficult for me to enjoy the midnight and late night games here but I will stay up late to enjoy the India vs England match. Yes the second semi-final match between India and England has already started but this match has been rained twice. First the toss was delayed due to rain and then when the game started it started raining again.But now the game is going on now India are batting and they have collected 68 runs for 2 wickets. This match may have been reduced to overs due to the temporary suspension of play due to rain. Reducing the overs will put pressure on both teams as they will not be able to play to their schedule, which will force them to focus on scoring more runs. Captain Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav are at the crease right now for the Indian team, both of them are very good batsmen, we will see their batting consistency with time. I didn't knew that it was preplanned that India will be playing in this venue and it was decided before the semi-finalist were decided. Why can't ICC remain fair ? And why they want to give an advantage to the Indian team. Before reading this article, i thought that it was coincidence that India got this venue and we had no reserve day but now things unfolding.

The Indian team has been performing very strongly this season, losing two wickets in today's match, the run rate and style of play was unwavering. But the game has been suspended so far due to rain in the middle, but the England players have to perform better if they want to win politics. 

Although I see these two teams as evenly matched in this match, both teams will put in enough effort to get a win between these two teams. Only if the semi-final match is won, the participation of the final game can be done, so the players of these two teams can be aggressive at any time. I agree with you . Most of us expected good match between Afghanistan and South Africa team but we saw Afghanistan batting collapse ang could not make more than 56 runs and all team out on 56 runs. South African bowlers performed very well , especially Jonsen and Nortje which were the match changer and they took important wickets . Jonsen took took 3 important wickets and he played very crucial role in win of South African team.  Nortje bowling spell was outclass and he became more dangerous bowler and I think South Africa team could win this World. They will give their hundred percent to win the final but now they don't know which team will play against South Africa because decision will be tonight and I think India will play thr final.
