Don't like those line ups linked above. It means both managers are looking not to concede goals firstly and then hoping they will manage to score some.
Receiving a goal can change the game 90° Almost 20 minutes and it is still a draw between Liverpool and Barcelona. May the best team (LFC) win! Liverpool missed few chances to capitalize especially the miss from Mane should be regretted. Bad to see Barcelona ahead in the first half. I hope we equalize in the 2nd half. I hated that goal. |

Suarez the first to score. That was a proper poacher's goal and a good assist from Jordi Alba. This vision for the assist was crazy good. Certainly has benefited and learnt a lot from being in the same team as Messi, Iniesta, Xavi etc.

A quite even an first half Liverpool looks more threatening on break but needs to make use of their chances you can't afford to miss those kind of opportunities against Barcelona.
Barcelona are playing more conservatively, trying to avoid mistakes.
In as much as I'm a Barca fan I just hope Suarez will stop his dirty tricks and play of football, It's disgusting.

@Trofo you're absolutely spot on and I share that sentiment. I was hoping all that news was wrong but when I saw the lineup I was really disappointed. I know Firminho is not at his best so his omission is understandable but I thought Shaqiri would be a great stand in for this kind of high press. Quite a few disappointing passes from Wijnaldum and he can't read the game with Salah or Mane so well, not to mention the absence of bullying from Bobby.
We're a goal down but we had more chances and Mane should get some joy in the second half. Evenly matched. I think Ox would make an impact, such a shame we had Naby injured changed the complexion. Let's see. 45 mins to get 2 goals, why not?

Today Liverpool is worst as just 8 minutes left and they are trailing by 3 goals look like its end for them in this year's UCL because now Barcelona not going to give any chance with 3 goals lead. |

3:0 win against Liverpool! I'm dreaming? If yes, I don't want to wake up. I really didn't expected that such result is possible. And it doesn't reflect the game at all. I can't say that we deserved such big win. Liverpool had good match and even dominated for some time in second half. But they wasted some moments, also we saw few great saves by ter Stegen. And Messi - perfect free kick goal. He is probably scoring free kicks better thsn penalties this season. I lost count how many free kicks he scored this season.
Still, I don't think that fight is over already. Liverpool aren't going to give up.

Barcelona had the deserving win. Liverpool's finishers were not up to the mark today. They have missed easy scoring chances and they paid for it today. Not one, not two, three goals to return in the 2nd leg and then if you are lucky may be you can do anything else. Very hard job to achieve for Liverpool. No matter if we can do it or not. We will play football around the world. Liverpool in the heart. |

What a game. Liverpool were better side in the beginning of second half but found their finishing lacking. Milner should have done better with those two nice opportunities he got but Ter Stegen is currently the best keeper in the world. Then started the Messi show and Liverpool was lucky not to finish the game with 5:0 result. As soon as I saw line ups I had a feeling something like this will happen. Never like when club changes too much because of their opponents.

Indeed Liverpool is better at the beginning of the first and the second half, sadly they didn't execute and maximize the opportunities. In other hands, Barce seems to need a handful of time to stabilize their rhythm of play. After all, I don't think luck is the significant part of this game, it is surely the better team really deserved it. |

3 unanswered goals? I anticipated a win for Barcelona but not a demolishing one like this. Liverpool must move against all odds in the second leg for a win. I know it will be had to return a deficit of 3 goals against Barcelona but a home win will console Liverpool.

It's not like they played bad or Klopp made mistakes with the starting XI, they actually were the better team, until the 2nd goal. Liverpool lost because of crucial details: a completely out of context goal from Suarez, a lucky goal from Messi, and a fucking banger of a free kick. Pool didn't lose because Klopp decided to change the usual line up, they lost because Barca were clinical in front of goal and had luck on their side, the complete opposite of Liverpool. |

seeing the first leg score everyone predicts which team will advance to the final. too early and cannot be ascertained Spurs and Liverpool will fail at the second leg match. I'm sure they can still surprise even if it looks like it's impossible. keep in mind that Liverpool has never been defeated this season while playing at home. |
