Crypto as a payment method for goods: what to expect in 2019

Hi guys.
I'm wondering what's your opinion on the goods purchased in currencies other than euros or dollars, say crypto. I'm aware it's being used as a regular currency in various fields now. There are, for instance, lots of successfully run marketplaces based on crypto out there.  
Over the past year, the market capitalization within crypto soared to the Moon.  Unfortunately, it's been a bear trend for a while now and no one can say for sure when it's gone. However, I am still thinking there's some light at the end of the tunnel - new market, pretty few competitors, great potential. So it's high time to become an active user.

So that begs the questions: Your thoughts on crypto as a payment method? Any progress achieved in the upcoming year?

It is really the right time to become an active user!  Cryptocurrency market is trying to survive and I do believe that it is currently too volatile to be as money.  It has to became very stable and adoptable for us to be able to used it for the payment for good and services.  Online and offline business cannot really used it because you will not know if it will grow or not and if it goes down as it is doing now there is no way you will not lose.

Currently, we can pay for almost any product, as well as various services with the help ofcryptocurrency. It is convenient, fast and only requires a transaction fee. Do we know that? I hope so, but mass adoption is still a very long way to go. When I would like to buy something in the internet I think it should be paid in Bitcoin but most normal websites don't offer such purchases in Bitcoin. I hope they will do it in future but I don't see them move towards it right now. It's still too difficult for them to implement and also a risk.

But I'm confident to see adoption slowly appearing.

It is really the right time to become an active user!  Cryptocurrency market is trying to survive and I do believe that it is currently too volatile to be as money.  It has to became very stable and adoptable for us to be able to used it for the payment for good and services.  Online and offline business cannot really used it because you will not know if it will grow or not and if it goes down as it is doing now there is no way you will not lose.

That is a concern for users and sellers, prices are too volatile to be used as a payment method. I hope there will be a system or platform that deals with price fluctuations, so it will not make lose to buyers and sellers, because I think many people are interested in crypto payments nowadays

They don't even have to code anything themselves, apart from the frontend which would allow their buyers to choose a payment method. But they likely already have it anyway as there are many payment options available even without cryptocurrencies in mind (e.g. PayPal, bank cards, cash, etc). Technically, it all comes down to installing a third party plugin, the one supplied by the payment processor which makes cryptocurrency payments possible. And there are no cryptocurrency related risks for merchants with this approach

Here in the Philippines, there are few stores who are already accepting cryptocurrency as a payment and there are no any problems in using it as a transaction, so i think it will really be effective if every stores start to accept cryptocurrency and it will be helpful for us to use cryptocurrency for our daily lives to support our basic needs.

I think there could be chance that cryptocurrency will be use as a payment method to buy goods because cryptocurrency is getting more popular and there are now few stores who accepts crypto in every country.

First of all crypto is a online currencies and there are many selling platform that already accepting crypto but in the goods i think there are many time to research if this is good to be part of purchasing the goods. Yes we need to become active users because crypto is not only money that you already know the price. I think this year many online business approving crypto in there platform for payment method but i dont know if crypto can buy goods in supermarket this year but i always sure someday crypto can purchase goods in the market.

However we help with the adoption through wide spreading it takes more time than we calculate. In this regard we cannot have a perfect and calculated outcome from bitcoin with reference to the adoption.

Even now if people learn about bitcoin it takes time for them to get into the real world usage of bitcoin on different Marketplaces as well on trading and other beneficial needs.

Now if amazon would start accepting bitcoin for their customers purchases this would push the method of payment to extreme levels towards cryptocurrency as a legitimate form of payment for everyday goods.
I have heard in the last month there has been talks behind the scenes from bezos in researching more about how they could work with a payment processor in accepting some sort of crypto so they would be able to receive the funds in usd.
But nothing has come out of it up until now.
Hopefully later in the year we will have some progress in their stance on cryptocurrency being accepted by them and thus bring forward the rest of the retail industry to do the same.

We will see the progress as time goes and sure there will be new merchants accepting bitcoin, there is a slow adoption rate than what we anticipated in the beginning because of the increase in transaction fees and delays but right now everything is working smooth and hopefully we will see more merchants accepting bitcoin and i expect bitcoin to be the currency for online transactions for the masses.

I think now is not the best time to enter the market. many will say that the best time than panic sell and can not think of, but I'm not a supporter of this position. despite this, it is safe to say that even in the current not the most positive situation, the use of the crypt will be found for anyone, a question of needs.
