Investing to an ICO or newly listed altcoins in the market should not be trusted, unless they have well known legit partnerships and team members just like Bittorent. These new altcoins are just getting pump, dump then disappear. Leaving their investors behind and abandoning the project are always the issues with them. I preferred investing to most trusted and old altcoins rather than betting to new altcoin without an assurance.

Altcoin is only when the crypto value plummeted, making it useless especially the ICO in 2018, really worrying, there is no good development. Still waiting for the new altcoin that is being developed, but it hasn't yet appeared. It's better to invest in coins that are already registered in CMC so you can choose, there are already 2000 altcoins that you can choose.

To be fair, there used to be much worse scams in 2017. But everything was rising in price so people didn't care. Some knowingly put money in scams hoping to get out in time and make money in the meantime.
Nowadays you won't see a price pump without some value in the coin. So ICOs are not as popular, but still worth checking from time to time - there's the occasional gem.

I thought grin was not a kind of altcoin but grin is now a hot topic these day   . it maybe a good investment because they hype is not yet over   .

Rating websites cant fully be trusted because they are only being paid to up good ratings  . its always better if you can do a manual research about a coin that you want to invest in  .

You are right, and if the new altcoins/tokens can increase in one day, then we can count that as a bonus for us because we can hold for a long time. But still, it is to difficult to find one or more project which has good whitepaper and roadmaps because many of them create a similar project, with the same idea but with the different team.

Whether they are researching for the background of the coin it does not mean that the coin they are found out a good one will last, in the end it will be the battle of conscience of the team. They are not the one who filters the legality of the team or the coin they are just a researchers, but people can still look for their findings as basis for their investment, always remember there is no assurance for someone's investment in crypto will grow.

Since the crypto space itself is an anonymous & decentralzied world, it is not possible to stop the issuance of new coins and some strict rules to govern ICOs.
Most of the projects we see today are from the 2017 ICO bubble. They were just not lucky to start up early so they didn't enjoy as they might have perceived the crypto sales world to be. I am not against ICOs but the real ones are very few and difficult to find as well.

That's right because from last year until now there are still a lot of altcoins dead or rubbish because they were not developed anymore and nobody wants to buy them. so it's better not to ever buy a new altcoin because it's a big risk for you and your money

I heard about jinbi, they promised to be gold backed right? Since the forst time I saw it it seemed weird for me that's why I skipped their bounty and ICO. Asset backed tokens aren't profitable

Well, they were most likely well-known before when i saw it until one day it just gone without single news. I thought at first it would gain such price when i saw it because a lot of people are asking about it but where is it now actually? They just disappear all of a sudden without a single trace or even a report that would say we have to stop because of these and that etc...
