I have 3 PCS of Radeon VII and each of 100mh/s  (it can get 105mh/s too but getting hot so short time. for this or maybe more need very good cooling system i think)

Here is the mining screen video;

That's cool, what are your clock and memory speed and voltage as well? Thanks

Planning to buy two of these. Any idea when prices would go down now that we have 5700 available?

Prices going down in the beginning of a bull market, you must be smoking some pretty good stuff... LOL

Not in the case of the Radeon VII, AMD not selling more chipsets to AIBs so no more being made..

I was thinking of building a similar rig, but is it really worth it to water-cool radeon vii. The temperatures dont seem to be that high.

With watercooling I can fit 4 GPU's in a "normal" ATX case using PCIe x8 connections to each GPU directly from the motherboard (x79 chipset). If I am able to lower the temperatures with 20-30 degrees Celsius I will almost definetly be able to push the clocks higher at a certain voltage. I am also hoping to get the noiselevels down. This rig will hopefully also do some Blender rendering when not mining.

Core Clock 1950 Memory Clock 1200 Core Voltage 1050mv PWR +10

Seems very hot.

Mine are doing 1540 core, 900 mem, 850mv, power -20%. Hotspot from 80 - 90 degrees depending on the card, but rig in tropics and its hot here. It only does 80mh/s but these cards need to run for years and I'm close to power limit for 6x VII on 1500w titanium psu.

AN NVIDIA 1070TI--

The hash rate (sols/s) you are getting with your Radeon VII is the same range as for an nVidia 1070ti.  The nVidia card will run at lower wattage and temperatures.  You may be able to find 2 used cards for the same price as a Radeon VII.

Properly tuned, your Radeon VII will mine ETH much more efficiently.       --scryptr

Is it crashing when it restarts?  If it's just a normal, user controlled, system restart then radeon settings should not be reset.

Radeon VII is good only for:
  • ethash (for Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Callisto, MOAC, Expanse, Musicoin, Pirl, Metaverse ETP, Akroma, DubaiCoin);
  • cryptonight (Monero).

custom settings reset after user controlled restart was fixed by reinstall OS. Probably bug began after many time use AMD Cleanup Utility. Something go wrong )
Also problem was with power supply. Rig connected to power supply through smart steckdose wattmeter DiPlug 100S, and sometimes it swiched of for a few seconds without any commands. Noticed it accidentally(heard click) when was nearby steckdose. reasons are unclear. now I try to use rig without smart steckdose. Will see rig uptime...

Anyway, maybe someone knows soft like wattool, which can be used win 10 + radeon 7 or the ways apply customs card settings after hard reset?
Its more preferable, becouse if something go wrong, customs setting will keep temperature and necessary consumption of energy.

Hey all,

i have a small rig with radeon 580 and sapphire rx 480. I added one radeon VII and the hash rate is significant lower now. Is there a problem with the driver compatibility?
Thank you
This happen in my rig too

Not all mining software supports both Rx and RadeonVII in same rig. Just put them separately

Really keen to invest in some Vii's, but unless I'm going insane, isn't the 90-100mhs for 200-220W on eth identical to 3 tuned polaris (3x30mhs@70w=210w)?

Vii costs c.£600 in the UK, or old polaris about £150 for 3...

What are you talking about? I get 3050 hashes on Monero for 170W power from the wall. The card is stable 24/7 it runs for weeks
