Are altcoins useless?

Today there are more than 4000 different cryptocurrencies and 95% of them are absolutely useless. While this area is only developing, they will exist, but then there will be 20-30 crypto-currencies.

Some coins are really pretty terrible but still some coins have their own features and target different from bitcoin or ethereum and am sure you know there are some of them really thriving in the market..Most coins are there for different purposes give them a chance to make their impact and then let the community decide

Not all altcoins are absolete. It's very much depends on the sort of ICO project. If an ICO strive for success and eventually thrive, I think it's coin will have value.

Now it is difficult to understand which projects will really succeed and which will die over time. this market is not very predictable for everyone

I think those that are in the top in terms of capitalization hardly able to die , but that is above 100 and above then I think the chance is big that they can die

Useless coins can victimize investors once but they cannot do it again, it's because investors are smarter and they have learn from their mistakes.

It's true because of the abuse in the market.
There are devs who create altcoins for the purpose of pump and dump only, when the price cannot recover anymore they leave it.
This is bad for investors since they could end up bag holders, they are holding a useless coins that will never let them sell at a profit.

I would not say that altcoin is a lot of useless while on the market there are many new and old altcoins that still have good investment prospects. all depends on the development of coins, coins that have many users and stable prices, usually many like it.

Almost altcoin useless because lower trusted by owner and never have new planning about their coin, many altcoin have delist on big exchange market and make price is dump too lower and many investor have lost their money.

My simple answer is no, not all altcoins are useless. Most of them are.

Some altcoins do push the boundaries of what is possible, are looking to get new and exciting algorithms and ways to save power in mining, implement great features etc.

They need a legitimate development team and to be active.  Most alts were just a moneygrab and people bought in during the hype but lacked substantial development. They also took advantage of people new to the crypto space.

Currently crypto is only used as a short term and profit taking, users are never patient waiting so they sell immediately when there is a small increase, this is what makes devs. must have a good strategy.

Of course, altcoins are needed, as each belongs to a certain company and integrates users on platforms for making payments ... there are empty altcoins that do not carry any semantic load, but not all are like that ..I think weak altcoins will be eliminated in the future, but to say that altcoins are unnecessary is at least not clever

Of course Altcoin is useful but not all, the altcoin proves that more and more people like to use crypto currencies other than bitcoin. People need to be smarter in choosing and using altcoins because the functions of each altcoin are different, just choose what makes you interested. MOst of the altcoins are useless, therefore many people claim (me amont them) that 90% of them will dissapear. BUt there ar emany altcoins that will make a huge difference in our life.s. imagine for example.. Datecoin or Viola.. you wont be scammed anymore with dating apps like badoo, meetic, tinder.. with all that fake profiles. Or for example, Beatzcoin, content creators will get a fair amount for the work done, and wont need to spend effort and time on marketing!

Only some altcoins are useful and we can take ethereum as an example of how it was creating tokenization that gives a lot of benefits for crypto. A lot of altcoins have the potential to grow a lot but that depends on how the developer can manage its platform. Altcoin can be considered as the second way after bitcoin.

The crypto market as the flow of life is always going on continuously. So since Bitcoin was born, the Altcoins were released in greater amounts. but there are also Altcoins with no purpose and they are useless. So good coins will exist and bad coins will disappear.

I agree most of the altcoins is useless especially for the new project from 2018. But there still a few good alts like ethereum, monero, cardano, neo and nem. Almost everything alts in top 30 cmc is a very good coins.

The bulk of the coins are useless coins that have no real value. And the time will come when more than 90% of all coins "disappear." Then a simple user will know the true uselessness of such coins.

Nevertheless, at least 200-400 altcoins will exist. Thus, you cannot call them useless. People do not only make money trading these tokens, but they use them for different purposes. Smart contracts are also in demand.

I disagree with you. Altcoin still has a purpose, it serves as a utility for bitcoin, it has its own value although they are just copied from bitcoin. I believe that in the future these altcoins will make the crypto develop more
