The idea of altcoin is to serve other purposes that bitcoin cant handle. Some altcoin are doing well with the products and teams that understand the space. The important thing about any coin is how it could drive volumes by traders, cause investors want to make money and traders want do business with coin that earns profit also.

If altcoin is useless, people won't invest in it. Now there are so many altcoins and will always increase every day. So of the many altcoins there must be altcoins that are really useless and some are useful. That's a very different way of looking at each altcoin.

Altcoins can't be useless. Altcoins help Bitcoin to develop. Just remember that many Bitcoin update features were previously tested on altcoins. For example SegWit was tested on LTC and earlier on FTC.
So at least altcoins will be a test platform for further development of Main cryptocurrency

Altcoins can never be classified as useless and the fact that most altcoins shows no significant growth or progress does not mean altcoins are useless. Before you think of considering altcoins as useless, think about where bitcoin started and where it is now. It is a matter of time and process and altcoins will soon be classified in a more better way.

I don't think so. Cause in this market most of the coins are altcoins. I know the most of the marketcap is hold by bitcoin. But still many altcoin has great value and marketcap. And the most interesting thing is with almost all coin a project works. And with altcoins a lot of new and innovative project coming to the market. I know many of them are scam or failed project. But many of them working hard to make this ecosystem great. So I think altcoins are very much mandatory for this market. Not all of them but which ones who backed by great project.

The surge of altcoins has its purpose. The technology exists because there are altcoins being developed every day. Even though these altcoins have very little value in the market it still complements bitcoin by increasing its value.

It is impossible to say for sure that all Altcoins are useless. I would say that they simply cannot find their place in the world of cryptocurrencies. The reason is extremely simple. All these projects cannot adapt their cryptocurrency offspring to the realities of the real world.

Many altcoins have good products and also have many partnerships with large companies. Indeed, many altcoins don't develop or the project fails, but I think altcoin requires time so that the project develops and produces good products |

When in this market most of the coins are altcoins and the whole altcoins ecosystem holds almost 40% or more share in the market.
I think alts are kind of a greatful thing for this market cause without market we would never seen that kind of implementation of Blockchain in this much way. With every coin there is a new idea and they are still coming day by day. So for this blockchain technology and for market altcoins are pretty much important.
