ICO makes me sick

No funds no project idea makes me sick and tired of ICO ,I never like the idea right from the beginning ,why? Well to me if you are the owner of your business or company and you have struggled a lot to build it you won't dare want to let go or see it crumbled and fail,this is not present in ICO cases ,ICO is just like "oh if not much funds then I will back off and reopen another project maybe we can reach the hard cap" ,well if every developers are the ones funding there projects they will be more serious to make it a successful one,the easy safe path of backing out if hardcap is never achieved makes it feel easy for every one especially the scammers, I'm not been heartless ,if you don't have money to fund your project just don't bother ,many coins out there have no ICO ,no premine ,no bullshit with fine price per coin ,they never want any funds ,coins like masari ,Loki,haven project, dero rely on nobody fund yet they perform better than hundreds of ICO.

I feel you sir. Been in the crypto space for several years now and I've seen how destructive these ICO's are on investors. They're literally killing us! I've seen scams wherever I look at my Telegram group and I was so glad when STO's were introduced. It made things better but IEO's definitely rocked the space. IEO provides investors much more security and the good thing here is that they're partnered with legit exchanges. I've participated in a recent IEO that sold out quickly, they're a collectible project which will have a hardware wallet where you can store them. Some cool stuff! Atleast with the IEO, I can see the tokens that I invested in compared to an ICO in which I have to wait for it to end or whatever before they release it out.

True, the evolution of how we protect our investors is indeed good. That's why most projects now can't raise funds if they're still using ICO, most that projects that I'm seeing successful now are IEO's already.

I think you are too much when you say that ICO makes you sick. In my opinion, ICO does not all make us lose money. There are also many ICOs that provide benefits so we must be wiser in evaluating an ICO. If we are an ICO development team then we should maintain the project that we are running if indeed the project is a good and potential project. We must be resilient in dealing with any dynamics that occur in crypto currencies. As a wise development team, we must be open to criticism and wrong so that we can always improve every shortcoming of our project. Do not until when there is a shortage, we leave and change to run another project.

Not all IEOs quickly reaching Hardcaps as you say. it only happens on very large exchanges such as Binance

The problem with the ICOs is that in case the project fails, your funds are lost and you will not be getting any reimbursements. Most of the ICOs are unregulated and uninsured. On top of that, in many cases the promoters are anonymous. Yes, now it is very clear that the IEO is more desirable than the ICO because ICO has a lot of disadvantage to the crypto community where ICO fraud is more prevalent than the IEO, and I also trust the IEO more than the ICO today.

no wonder if you trust the IEO and the ICO, many people also think like you. anyway now maybe fraudulent with IEO mode is still very little, because maybe it has to do with exchanges. it makes the risk of losing our money to the IEO still small, but remember, the IEO does not guarantee benefits, it would be better to keep researching the project seriously.

Personally, i like this line of thought. Many dev think they can just jump like grasshoppers,  but funny enough, even investors are like zombies they just latch or follow any ico without thorough investigation on the past record of the project team. There have been a scenario like that,  the ceo has records of frauds in the past,  yet he was able to syphon funds from investors just like that only to scam them again....

ICO has a huge amount of pros and cons. I like it in ICO because it is an opportunity to make money by investing. I do not like the fact that projects come to ICO without having even a sample of the working product and want to collect investments under the word of honor.

ICO negative news that made many people know that they were no longer interested in ICO, many projects failed so they were afraid to start there.
but maybe ICO will improve if there are some things that need to be updated.

You have a good point there as the ICO has just turn to something else and not the blame of the developer but the greedy  ones who dont have anything to offer rather than just collect peoples funds and be happy with it .

In 2017, ICO's were the as 2018 and this year. A lot of ICO's were created and only few of them had been successful. So, don't expect much ICO's will be successful. The only difference was that time almost every altcoin including bitcoin reached all time high during the bullrun. That's why I stopped following ICO projects! You may stop investing in ICO projects too because almost 90% of recent ICOs are not making the softcap, that's mean they are filing. Though scam ICO is decreasing but fail ICO is increasing right now. Try to learn the trade and be a trader! Or you can wait for the big exchanges like Binance, Bittrex, Huobi's IEO! this year is not over yet and perhaps in the fall we are waiting for a repeat of 2017. as for the bounty, now so many promising projects conducting the bounty of the company. I agree only with the fact that many projects in 2017 unreasonably rasli because of the illiteracy of invetors, people invested in everything without hesitation, in the hope of easy money, now investors are more demanding and skeptical about projects.

invest on already known and existing project that would be good long haul, your benefit may not be much but rather it will safe you the heartache you will suffer in the hands of fake ico's, in other not to make a huge mistake by given money to scammers camouflaging as project owners.

purchasing good token/coin that has potentials from exchange is consistently a wise decision, because no one can tell what will be outcome of a project once the group sale has ended
