I don't want to discourage you but I think it is best you invest in something else order than ICO because we have a lot of ICO projects this days and you might not be able to differentiate the bad from the good and end up losing a lot of money to scammers. I will advise you even stick to your mining than investing in ICO, or better still try investing in IEO which is the new kind of ICO available and it's more trusted than ICO itself because it's very much regulated by exchanges.

IEOs can make more sense to making profit.  Because, after last fall of the market, while most of the good projects are waiting for the situation to improve, most of the rest are scammers and this is a situation that needs to be avoided for newbies like you.

It's like gambling if you joined ICO this day. There is no absolute guarantee that you can get your money back. So the best thing to do is just invest on Bitcoin and Ethereum.

As other's have said, majority are scam and it's hard to see which one will be successful or which one will be just another pump-and-dump scheme or worst scam projects. Invest on Bitcoin and I'm sure you will not regret your decision specially for the long haul.

I think if you want to invest in ICO, the most important thing you consider is the team of the project. The team is the key to the success of the ICO. The rest you can read from white paper. This is a consideration for us in investing. We can read how far the target of the project they are developing.

I would rather invest into something more risky when you do not have enough money.
And what a pitty, that you can´t setup mining rig, it would be very profitable since you have cheap energy.

You better wait for the moment when the tokens get listed on an exchange for the first time.
In most cases you can then buy at a fraction of the ICO price.

I am agree, its more safe buying coin after listing in exchanger if we want to choose new coin. For alternative if we insist to invest in ICO, better choose IEO from big exchanger like binance, its more promising

Most ICOs in 2019 which is good for putting your investment as they gives huge of bonuses for their investors, many ICOs have high rating of this year of 2019 and have strong team to be listed on the top exchange.

Looks like it's the trend now, but the price effect is still bearish.

I think that you should research on what ico you are planning to join. You can see its rating on different ico review sites such as ico bench. Doing further research on before joining ico can help you refrain for not joining into a fraud or scam ico.

I would not recommend ICO which is good because most ICO is SCAM, it is very difficult to find really good ICO, if you want to get a quick profit my advice is you can follow the IEO held at binance because the IEO average in binance is always successful and Direct token listing there and has a good price

ICO fraud is still in circulation, indeed it is better to invest in bitcoin and altcoin that are already popular. At present it is still difficult to find an ICO that is truly successful. I can't give a lot of advice just to give opinion to bitcoin.

You can see every rating in every ICO.
There are good site to see recommended ICO

Those rating aren't based on the project. Those are totally biased rating which mostly has been bought through money. I would never trust their rating.

Follow the ICO in Binance launchpad, celer network. 2 of the binance launchpad ICO is already having good bump and they are more higher than ICO price. People made a good amount of money from those project.
Another one is metacode although I suggest you to research more. I like their idea and plan. They have planned to escrow the amount of fund raised, this is good for the project.

Now trend on IEO and exchange tokens. Take a look closely to Bitmax, Bittrex and Kucoin ICO/IEO launchpads.

for now it's not there but it seems like following ico like in binary launchpad is the rest of the choice, maybe don't try ico but i.e. maybe it's more profitable

Why don't you try altcoin trading instead of investing in some unsure ICOs? Even if the electricity in your country is very cheap, mining isn't that profitable. But ofcourse, it depends on which altcoin to mine. I know someone who who did mining but did not go well. Try learning some basic trading first before you decide what to do.

Until ICOs are heavily regulated, don't throw your money away to the dogs. I can hardly pick out any ICO that has sold above its price on listing. However, you may want to look into the new pattern with IEO started by Binance exchange. There is another one going up tomorrow on the Binance launchpad for CELER. Try out your look there for the FET have a nice ROI too.
