I think with what's been going around us for over a year people already know that scams are very eager to scam us all, even projects that looks too good to be true can turn to scam and escape our radar, just take a look at Resto after distributing tokens their devs are nowhere to be found.
we must be able to see how the performance of the fake coins works. with this iming, there are now many who feel cheated about it and this is one of the things we must be aware of,

We can't definitely define if the coins are scam or not but make reviews on the project and their products to make sure what ever ot take the tokens you buy you can use it.so go to projects that has good products to able use tokens from this.

One really needs to be careful about the issue of scam in this industry. Scammers are always swift to change their strategy to attract uninformed individual. I know that their technique now is to dump the tokens on gullible buyers on exchange platform.

Very obvious in this space, many coins /projects are scam that is why before one invest in any coin or project, you must do a thorough research because that is the only way out, you just don't see any coin and buy.

There are a lot of scammers in the crypto market, so we need to be aware of and before taking any action (investing in a project, buying coins or participating in a bounty program), we need to carefully analyze the project.

The simplest decision of this problem is not to be greedy and run to catch the tokens, which are supposed to pump quickly soon. You can lose when you are not in time to sell them. Invest in reliable altcoins.

Just because a project ends up failing doesn't mean its always a scam.  Some ideas just don't work out or they aren't good at marketing.

I think its unfair for you to call something a scam when it had entirely free distribution.

At present there are more than 2100 coins and tokens officially registered in the coinmarketcap, too many coins and tokens will make the competition very tight and I'm sure many coins will die and become scams.

Competition in crypto currencies to get as much profit is indeed very fierce. Many people want to get big profits in a fast time in various ways so they choose to commit fraud. As a wise crypto currency player, we should be careful in following every investment in the ICO. The large number of frauds requires us to be smarter in analyzing truly trusted and responsible ICOs. I only hope that as soon as possible there will be an official international regulation governing this ICO. I hope that with the existence of strict and compelling laws there will be no more ICO fraud.

Everyday a new projects will be popup and the competition will be very pierce and tight. So it will make the crypto project very hard to live for a long time without a proper plan a new peojects will be died after their tokens release so it was nothing weird about will it be scam or not depend on what projects it is and peoples nowaday are smart enough to detect this scammer earlier.

Lot of tokens that around in every ico don't even list on exchange and call them a scam project and not paid for those who participate on the project because they need a profit to back for their investment.

Well, there's the possibility of a coin or token to fail even after be listed in an exchange, but in my own opinion, it is not a scam. If a coin or token reached it hardcap and get embrace by many and became popular, then with some reasons best know to it developers then fail to me, its wasn't a scam coin or token rather a failed coin or a token. That's why is advisable to choose a coin or token that's back up by a good product or a workable product and not those ones without a product.

I rephrase this and say be aware everytime because scam coins are always around
Which means there has to be a steady information source for each investor to ensure wrong decisions are not made

i agree, we always have to be careful with anything we want to invest, each of every altcoins in this market can be scam that easily fraud us, so no matter what we try to find information carefully, there will always be a huge risks before we invest in cryptos, but if we want to have profit that is the risk we must take before investing in new altcoins from ICOs

almost a year a lot of projects have been born with scams, which you mentioned are only a small part of millions of projects that fail but we should also be aware and always remember that investing in cryptocurrency is a big risk and no one is responsible for your money because that is the risk.

Obviously, you are exaggerating things here when you say that millions of projects are failing because there aren't that many projects existing on the market right now and don't know if we can't talk about such a high number even if we count the ones that are already ended and gone. There probably are thousands or tens of thousands but I don't think we can't talk about a higher number that that.

Now that most of the people are well aware of scam ICOs, scammer has found another way to scam people. I have observed 3 projects till now which I will list here and give you a highlights how they scam people, specially the newbie.

1. Privcy
Privacy was a free airdropped coin which was distributed freely over the community for helping promoting the project. Later, they decide to reward more to the holder of the coin in airdrops. The more coin you hold, the more airdrop coin you get. Newbies started to buy coins for getting more airdrop coin and DEV were selling their coin. I am sure they had a lot of fake accounts participating in the Airdrop. Can you believe they scammed people in such a way? Now, the project is died, 24 hour volume is- $620 which was less than $100 couple of weeks ago.

2. Profish
Profish was an ICO which came into the exchange before the bounty end. They were listed in mercatox and used to have some fake volumes. I don't know what happened to their ICO but they sold a lot of coins through mercatox and later, the price is now 1 or 2 satoshi from 650 satoshi. This is also a dead project. They scammed people.

3. Helios Protocol- Be aware
Helios Protocol is now airdropping coin to their community. This attract my eyes when I see user vectisitch was vouching the project. He was a moderator in privcy, so, there's no doubt that both of the project are from same person and this helios shit is also going to scam money. I want to alert you guys not to invest in this scam project.
Here is the vouching comment- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118682.msg50087444#msg50087444

Is it possible for a company that could not collect (paperback) the attacker?  Of course not.  Another thing is when companies with malicious intent carry out, ICO or Airdrop.  From them you can expect this:
Lost website or not at all.
At the end of the company, support does not answer questions.  Moreover, the prohibition of those who are trying to learn something about the project.
For crediting a remuneration token, they are asked to make a transfer to the purse that they have offered.
Here are some of the many tricks from which one should steer clear of such dubious projects.

The news makes you think about the honesty of projects that accrue coins in excess of those already in the wallet. The bounty of one of these just coming to an end. I will not voice the name. But, in order to receive a monthly payment, the campaign recently announced the need to make a contribution of $ 10

On a serious note there are too many scam projects these days, that's why I am craving for regulations in the crypto world at least ICOs, STOs, and IEOs should be regulated.

I think that now you can select any project and it will be a Scam. The era of ICO has passed.I was very disappointed with the CryptoPolice project. Go to IEO.

Better that IEO exist now, since ICO been used a lot to scam investors. We just hope that exchanges will not stake their name to promote and list scam projects, IEO will be far better to ICO as long as no exchanges will team-up to scammers.
