Is it a good idea in your opinion for me to wait for ethereum price to increase so I can sell it and move the money to more alt coins or should I just move the current amount of ethereum to other altcoins right now? 

Of course, that is a good idea to wait for ethereum price to increase first before you can sell it. If you still have balance in btc, you can move to the other altcoin because there are so many profitable altcoins that can increase at any time. But you need to analyze to find the altcoin. But don't use your ethereum if you still want to wait for the ethereum price increases because it's better to use bitcoin to trade with altcoin.
But it's not a problem if you have more than 10 ethereum so you can use 1-2 ethereum to trade with altcoin and get more ethereum as the profit.

It's always good to invest in less risky coins like BTC, ETH, LTC. If you want to divert, keep on mind that the risk will increase because the future of crypto will be more complicated than now. Only good projects will dominate the market and shit projects will die. So, I think it's better for now to stick with ETH.

Why do you want to sell your ETH and move the money other altcoins? Is this coin that you prospect is more better than ETH? If you think so and you are so SURE about moving to that altcoin then there is nothing wrong with your idea but if you are not 100% about that coin better stay on ETH or its more better to change your ETH to BTC.

just wait until the price increase more or until the bullish end before jumping to another alts because eth now still making green which is means bull on it is not yet over .so must stay as long there still a opportunity to obtain profits. Because once you move to another alts you will miss all the opportunities to gain quick profits .  So be practical and don't ever jump quickly to other alts because moslty now didn't go further.

It depends on how much you bought your ethereuem and the potential of the altcoin you want to buy, because if you bought your ethereuem in a high price I will advice you to hold on till the price rise before you sell and move to other altcoin. Because you can only lose when you sell below the price you bought. But if you buy below the present ethereuem price then you can sell it and move the the altcoin of your choice but make sure the altcoin have potential.

while risk on eth is low also is upside, let's face it eth isn't going x2 x3 as fast as some low cap coins, imo do some research and invest in some good low cap coins and take the risks[ if you can] or just stick with eth.

no, in this market is is never a good idea to bag hold an altcoin and hope for its price to be pumped so that you can get a small part of the huge amount you lost back! what you should have done was to dump it when you saw the dump begin instead of bag holding it all this time while losing up to 90% of your initial investment.

at this point, since it is too late and the dumps seem to have been slowed down, it is not a bad idea to not sell anymore and hope for that pump because now you have a better luck at seeing a pump. but let this be a lesson to you not to repeat the same bag holding mentality again.

Ethereum is still the most popular altcoin  so in the long term ETH has possibility to raise to the highest price, but just like in 2017 there are will be others altcoin that will offer bigger return than ETH, so if you find others altcoin that still undervalued with strong fundamental so you can sell ETH for that others altcoin.

When the price of ethereum keeps increasing then there is no point on selling it to other altcoins if you want that coin as long term investment,personally I prefer ethereum to hold than any other crypto currencies.

if you have a lot of ethereum stock, you can use some to buy altcoins and some of the other ethereum you can hold because ethereum will be very good for the next few months

I don't think it is necessary unless you do have altcoin ethereum in large quantities, maybe you can try exchanging it for other altcoins, don't take risks if you still doubt it's better to hold on for a while, ethereum is very promising and when the market recovers you will get a lot the advantages of this altcoin ethereum.

This is a question most of the people who are new to this asks. ETH is a safe ride and it is very promising but if you like taking risk then alt would be the choice for you. Firstly, have you done research on the other altcoins? If you think the other altcoins have bigger potential than ETH, then yes you should move to ETH. If not, stay with ETH.

If you have decent amount of Eth then i will suggest you to diversify and pick 2 3 of your favorite alts but if you have small amount then just stick to eth it will grow and give you nice profit too because if you put small eth blindly into some alt it will be sort of gamble where you can end up loosing other than profit.

If you can find more potential ones, it would make more sense to get others. Because, when the price of token increases, it will increase not with USD but with ETH. And increasing the price of ETH will provide the same profit.
