I would not sell your crypto on such a market, because prices are pretty low right now. It is hard to see your portfolio bleeding but it is much harder to realise that you have sold your Ethereum for 80 bucks instead of 1k USD.

There should be a tangible reason for you to want to make this decisions ,if you are holding Ethereum I'm sure it must be because of the gains in the future but if you want to sell them off now then it must be because you've detect a very good altcoin or altcoins you want to invest it ,here us my advice don't dump good projects for other good projects ,its not a wise move ,instead look for other way to buy the altcoins without selling your Ethereum

For me, it would be better to save your money in ethereum but if you have good faith in other coins, move it as soon as possible! Now or later, it will not have a significant impact as I guess, because when the ethereum price rises, most likely the price of other coins will also incrase and vice versa.

If you have confidence in eth, it is worth waiting for the price to increase. Transferring money to other altcoins with the current market situation is quite risky. For now, it is better to keep money in a safe and reliable currency.

etherium is a good coin, but if you lose interest on it and thats fine, there are a lot of good coins you can get.

I am suggesting you  two ways-
1. You can hold Ethereum for few days as ETH rate is now 0.0345 BTC. It can touch again 0.034 BTC then you can sell it with BTC.
2. If you are good at analysis on different altcoins, you can buy and trade altcoins. It may increase your capital.
Now decide which strategy you will follow. Basically i follow both strategies.

I would rather go with altcoins that are very undervalued right now but if you want a lesser risk you can go with Ethereum and hold it. But if you want to take the risk, go for altcoins that you think can boom in the next few months.

No not really a good idea if you ask me. I would suggest you diversify your portfolio. Instead of selling off your ethereum holding which is not a good idea to me. I suggest you sell part of it, and then invest in other alternate coins

Yeah, it might be a good idea to diversify. Why do you miss other opportunities with waiting for ETH? The ETH is good to wait, but if you do not evaluate the opportunities in this market, you can not survive.

it's better to just stick to the eth coins, because the new alt coin is not yet stable, unless you are sure that the alt coin can go up at a high price.
but saving eth is safer in my opinion, because the price has been proven to have risen at a high price, especially now that eth prices are still very cheap, so there are many possibilities later eth prices can rise again

It's all up to you. Ethereum is a safe coin to invest on. If you want you can spread out your investment of different alt coins, but the risk of investing on a coin that is not well known is higher than investing on Ethereum or Bitcoin itself. Anyways, if the price of ethereum starts to increase, it is more likely that the prices of other altcoins will also start to increase. So you won't see much difference on your profit unless you are investing on a pump/dump scheme coins.

Part of the funds I still would have left in the Ethereum , about 40% leave in the Ethereum and the remaining 60 send to other altcoins that you like

Ethereum is more safe rather than other altcoins. But, you the one who make a decision. My suggestion is if you still have a patiance you should investing on ethereum because its more safe and guarantee. Ethereum is showing good improvement last couple weeks.
