Hey guys, been on vacation and didn't follow BCN's fate - trying to catch up!  Smiley

First thing first - where is my dear friend going2mars? Can't find him or his posts. I missed something?

The deep web got him bro.

All I know is one second, there were posts and cryptic puzzles, then someone said something about Cicada 3301, then there was a moth logo, then BOOM! Deep web got him.

True story.

G.

Never heard about missing people in the Internet. Looks like we've got our own Matrix-Crypto-world.
This is like a detective story: there were puzzles and than ....puff... going2mars has disappeared.
IMO, he's got dev's philosophy and decided to support their willing to stay in shadow.

Denni, I wrote about this a few days ago! Nobody knows where is goin2mars. There are only jokers in the thread Grin

Comkort devs (exchange) wrote that they contacted with BCN devs!

I asked them what BCN devs had responded and how they communicate. I'm waiting for a reply, it' may be interesting.

IMHO, maybe they just wrote it to reassure us that situation is ok and we'd be able to buy\sell bcn soon.

although I am curious how they communicate with the devs (I was thinking it's like to see a unicorn)

I have news! Comkort devs told me that BCN devs communicated by official email bytecoin@mail.com. Also I know their names are David and Harry.

But - it's very strange - Comkort devs wrote that BCN devs which communicated with them "are not the first devs".

Honestly, I'm confused Huh

DStrange, are you this David? Grin

There are new versions of the logo!

2
As it is CPU only minable, i chose CPU pins to design the logo.
Quality is poor, but this can easily been improved.

Integrated into a coin it might look like that:

Good luck to all participant.

Number 2 is AWESOME. Better than Matrix like Cheesy You definitely have my vote - simple, CPU mining mentioned and the whole concept of BCN is outstanding.

Yeah, that's me. I wrote them first. After that they started to communicate between themselves.

Guys! I have a serious question for discussion!

Our giveaway fund is short of BCN. We received our first BCN by giveaway and I think that help our fund is right.

Today I donated 77,000 BCN in our giveaway fund.

10 or 100 or 1,000 or 10,000 or 100,000 BCN will be accepted thankfully!

Let's donate!

Give me the rundown here.

Bytecoin vs Bitmoneros? What's the difference?

Why one over the other?

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

Bytecoin vs Bitmoneros? What's the difference?

Why one over the other?
Short answer:
Monero : fair version of Bytecoin, more transparent devs than Bytecoin. Choose monero without hesitation

Long answer:
Monero: fair version of Bytecoin + active and transparent community (monero: new name of bitmonero). More fair (flatter curve, less rewarding for early adopter), active community (I am part of it)
Bytecoin: the original, heavily mined already (80%), dubbed "ninja-mined" because the bytecoin miner never announced their coin when it was released in 2012
If you heard of Tenebrix and Fairbrix back in the day, then Monero is to Fairbrix what Bytecoin is to Tenebrix

Good enough of a rundown? Smiley

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

I think it's much clearer if you say:

I don't think it is fair to say bytecoin was ninja mined for 2 tyears. It was most like announced on the deep web. I don't think a third world country can say bitcoin was ninja mined just because they were not aware of it.

I feel as though despite the surface intention of cryptocurrencies to become currency everyone treats cryptocurrency as  comodity. People seem to feel left out easily because they were not part of the early adapters. Bytecoin has my vote because it is easy to mine it and obtain coins.  Now if some one could implement a master coin protocol on top of it to create colored coins it would be great. Perhaps adding it to the exchange is the wrong approach.  It becomes a commodity.

Yeah, the way above post was a little enthusiastic.

So far only 0.1% of monero has been distributed, and the distribution is clearnet.  No one is totally sure who holds the bulk of ByteCoin and whether or not they're benevolent or malicious.

Unlike tenebrix/fairbrix the coin subsidy per block decreases over time too, and also so far monero hasn't been plagued with terrible bugs like tenebrix was (because tenebrix was built on the mostly broken multicoin).  So another adequate comparison is monero:bytecoin as litecoin:tenebrix.

ByteCoin's dev community is much more active and likely we'll be pulling a lot of merges from them, so ByteCoin of course still has immense value.

Never heard of multicoin before and mapofcoins.com seems not to have neither.
