Same here . cockighting on our city is also illegal but not just cockfighting because almost any kinds of gambling such as card based games , slots , coin games and board games ( the one that are being played on the streets ) all of those are few of the gambling games that are being prohibited  .  its better if we can stay away from them because if ever they caught , you can be also caught  even if you say that you are not playing  .

I do like the countries where it isn't legal and law is enforced right when someone do it. I would never bet in such things. Raising animals to suffer and die only for "fun" is not so fun from my point of view and where is the humanity in that practice? - We are supposed to be the rational ones.

Kinda expected a comment like that to show up here. Yeah the breed is bred for fighting and they are more aggressive than the usual farm cocks, and that's saying much. Releasing them into the wild is like releasing silkmoths.

The reason the practice is maintained is the same way as bullfighting in Spain. I sure prefer that the matches be made in official locations though so the fight can be broken up when needed. I mean, we don't allow boxer's do just die in the ring.

In my country the cock fighting is illegal and all type of gambling is illegal, but there are bunch of people still do this activity, and this gambling is not fun to watch, the cock bleed everywhere and the feather is falling off, in the rural area this gambling is quite famous and people still gambling secretly

I am absolutely in support of making cock fighting illegal, I can just imagine the suffering they make this animals go through all in the name if gambling. I thought gambling is for entertainment, then what is entertaining about seeing two animals fight to extent of seeing them bleed and having their feathers fall off ?

I've heard, seen and read about cock fighting. It is absolutely illegal here in the UK and thank goodness for that.  Frankly speaking, its babaric IMO, pitting helpless cocks against each other all for the cheap fun of some.  I'm totally against any/all kinds of animal fight games for the fun of humans.  To me, its the same or at least similar category as those who kill animals (GAME) for the fun of it.

I am not sure at all about this game. I have heard this games was there once in my city long time back but now it is not all in use or local betting. I have heard that people are expecting the horse racing and these kind of games to gamble but this is not at all worth to invest and gamble.

Why? because this event is one of the old gambling activities way back and up to present. Yes, I come from India. Cock fight betting is considered illegal but, Tamilnadu and Andhrapradesh States are popular for its cock fights. I am not sure about the legal aspects of this betting.
