Poloniex is a good example how to not manage a cryptocurrency exchange. They had enough funds to make things better, but they didn´t, this exchange were been replaced and currently noone is trading here (atleast no newcomers)  .

One of the things I like about Poloniex exchange is that Poloniex chooses coins that are no longer developing, so coins in the list are definitely high-quality coins or at least the coins are still handled well by the developer, that's what I like about Poloniex.

they didn't want to changes their feature , meanwhile cryptocurrency market very dinamic.it need new feature in every second and now its proven.poloniex didnt most favourite exchanges anymore cause they could not following any changes in this market.

I recall Poloniex as the very first crypto exchange that I used when I joined crypto Q1 of 2016.
The interface is good. I did not encounter any issues as well. But it was noticeable that the volume is drying.
I have not used Poloniex for a long time now.
Good to know that they have improvements. I may return one day.

Despite of their supports, their 'boring' graphics, as you all discussed, I can tell you the truth that if you need an exchange on which you can safely store your money. It is Poloniex, the exchange is one of the most secured, and reliable exchanges in their security methods to protect their customers' balance stored on their platform. Scam exchanges are around, so it will be always better to stick with reliable exchanges. Personally, when I don't have anything to do with trading, I store my coins on Poloniex or on computer wallets.

My first exchange for trade. she once was at ease among the leaders, but now she has lost her position.They need to first update the design. Begin IEO as it does other exchanges well and improve service support. I remember the moment when the server came out of service on the exchange and the exchange has been offline for a long time. I think it also badly affected the trust in the stock exchange.

IEO does not mandatory if Poloniex team don't have demands to raise funds for their developments. If they feel they have enough funds themselves to upgrade, and improve their company, IEO is not necessary. There is no reason to open IEO simply to catch the hot trend at the moment. I support the approach to focus on security improvements of Poloniex, because it will be good for their customers in long term. It is the same like people focus on learning and improving their knowledge, skills will have better chances in our society than people whom focus more on their appearance (clothes, shoes, etc.).

I think it is all about them really going out with an exit and removing all the bad parts and continue their ways. Now when you are going to have an exit (specially an exit during binances early days to kingdom) its going to take a lot of your time, you think business runs with just the workers or just the boss ?

When the boss is dealing with an exit to Circle (which is owned by another big bank I forgot) that means nobody really checks the workers and those workers do not really work too hard because they know that they are being sold to some other company and that is always bad for motivation. That is why for a while poloniex didn't worked properly and they dropped a couple of steps but now that they have been sold for a while they are recouping that loss time very quickly.

Poloniex apps updated today. It is the second updates of Poloniex apps within last several weeks.  Improvements on directly deposits & withdrawals on apps, and customize security. And, once again, Poloniex focused on security of their customers. As I discussed above, I am happy with Poloniex in the aspect of customer security. It's time to enjoy improvements on Poloniex's mobile apps (Android and iOS). What people care about is service, promotions, and kinds of other benefits they can get from exchanges they use. I don't deny that fact that past reputation and current total volume on exchanges are determinant factors that significant affect choices of investors or traders when they have to choose between exchanges. For whales, or experienced investors and traders, they care more about security and reputation of exchanges. In contrast, small traders or investors tend to prefer exchanges that can give them short term benefits through give aways, promotions, ref rewards and so on. Poloniex is a US. based exchange, so it has to obey strict rules in that nation. However generally I don't think Poloniex actually has bad reputation.

I have known poloniex o be a very good exchanges with very good reputation, even after losing their volumes to some of these other great exchanges like Binance, they were still performing well in their little way, while they were performing well then before some exchanges pushed them aside, they were too relax at their position and didn’t do what they should have done, no king will remain a king forever.

I am sure now that they have realized that new strategies is what will continue to hold a company to the top, they will surely perform better now in this their new rebirth based on past experiences.

They make a manny improvement for sure, if the last bullrun they don't choke up on the withdrawal, I think I will still use it.

But seeing an improvement on their side it's more and more convincing me, but nope, until they add the mighty trollbox..maybe after that.

Maybe it will take one or two years for them to come back to the top, but time goes so fast, one or two years are not a very long period.

I think the poloniex exchanger is nice because their support is active and can quickly reply and say if the poloniex exchanger is good because it is also in the top exchanger and the volume of altcoins is great and I think there are also many traders and investors altcoins in this exchanger and also many poloniex exchanger supporters because their website is safe and secure and is quickly withdrawn and the fee is small so many prefer to withdraw the poloniex exchanger more lucrative because of the poloniex exchaner because it is too small fee for all altcoins and tokens on that exchange and until now I use it to save more on the withdrawal fee.

It is possible that to stabilize the situation will need a couple of years to wait. I think that the crypto market will change and very much in the next few years.

i dont think that polo can be great again.
it was the most popoular exchange with bitrex last year. after exchanges like okex huobi and binance, polos volume get lower and lower.

maybe until eof we can hear news like polo hacked

Personally, I always liked this exchange and thought it would return to the top after buying a circle.  Probably they have a plan, see.

This happened to be the first exchange that I traded altcoins on having to link it with tabtrader was awesome. I really wondered why the sudden decline in popularity. Not sure Binace is ready to ditch its position to any other exchange as they capitalized on their lapses to build their exchange

Indeed, they were once the best exchange in the past but they were too subjective and not interested in customers, ignore suggestions and complaints, refusing to improve things when they have the capacity to do so, and with those actions, the price they need to pay is that they lose customers, the reputation goes down. Regretting and coming back at this stage was too late, their names became a black color, lots of bad comments about them, glorious and wonderful again is just a distant dream

I agree that polonius was a chance to be the best of the exchange before this time , but they just scored on updates to its exchange and didn't really develop . now if only trading on marginale not more
