Poloniex will become great again!

Years ago, Poloniex was the biggest crypto exchange, especially when we mentioned about margin tradings. Since the middle of 2017, Poloniex fell behind Bittrex due to their bad supports for customers, and KYC verification to increase daily withdrawal limits, or maybe some other reasons were not disclosed publicly. After that, Bittrex took over by Binance, that has still remained the biggest exchange so far, and Poloniex fell further behind them.

Fortunately, things likely improved with Circle partnerships. During recent months, lots of things improved on Poloniex, graphic designs, customer supports, and recent days, we have had more coins added to Poloniex's Margin Trading Market. For years, Poloniex maintained its marginal tradeable coins with very limited, and old coins. So, I think it is a big change of their strategies.
It is too soon to say anything, but I am a big fan of Poloniex, and, of course I hope them will come back, to the top exchanges, from this year to 2021.

Today, Poloniex has ranked at the 76th position on coinmarketcap's Exchange Ranking (based on adjusted volume), there. However, the position of Poloniex is 86th in Cryptocurrencies Exchange Ranking (based on Reported Volume). The statistics present the fact that Poloniex has fastly sliden over the top exchanges over last two years.

Poloniex apps updated today. It is the second updates of Poloniex apps within last several weeks.  Improvements on directly deposits & withdrawals on apps, and customize security. And, once again, Poloniex focused on security of their customers. As I discussed above, I am happy with Poloniex in the aspect of customer security. Update:
1) Within recent months, there are some initiatives made by Poloniex team as efforts to build up more powerful exchange for crypto traders. Including: Adding more margin trading pairs (16 pairs so far); less 10x latency that gives better performance; better customer supports that solves nearly 99.9% of support tickets; and some significant improvements on Poloniex Mobile UI.


2) Yesterday, Poloniex also made the third donation to Grin General Fund.

Today, total volume of all marginable coins within last 24 hours is around 1933 BTC. Most of coins in margin list on Poloniex have turned into Red (losses), today. I have still kept my hope that some day Poloniex will return to its golden age, when the exchange has very high daily volume. Especially, around two years ago, daily volume of marginable coins (less marginable coins in the list than now) on Poloniex was very high. Before Poloniex get troubles and took over by Bittrex, then Binance, it was the biggest, hottest crypto exchange. The Poloniex team have made lots of things to bring the one become great again, and more marginable coins is just one of their initiatives.

A few hours ago, on Poloniex, in margin tab, lots of coins corrected due to bitcoin falls yesterday. Fortunately, after a few hours of chaotic tradings, some of them have been more stable, and gradually recovered from their latest dumps. Some of marginable coins rallied faster than others, I can give you some of them: Ethereum, DASH, and Litecoin. On the other side, ATOM has maintained its first position among marginable coins on Poloniex in total volume last day, at more than 1650 BTC traded within last 24 hours.

Poloniex is coming back, I can see that. But what makes it competitive against other giants our there? Margin trading is a nice feature but it's available on almost other major exchanges. Are they tend to become home for abandoned coins like BCHSV or preparing for any IEOs?

As a designer and on to the IT field, one thing I just noticed about it is that, their interface doesn't seem to look pleasant even at the first glance? I think they should better increase their design and user interface and maybe through that, they can market traders to use their platform.

But, the reason is Poloniex is one of the oldest, and most reputable exchange, if we only consider about margin tradings. I agreed with you that Poloniex should seriously consider their strategies with BCHSV, BCHABC, but I thought they shown their works intensively to come back. Who knows they will actually can come back and become one of top crypto exchanges or not, but at least their works, and their movements recent months, since 2018, give me a hope. Just hope, then wait to see what will happen with Poloniex in next two years. The wave of Chinese-pattern exchanges might end someday, in my opinion.

i don't think they can come back from their death, no matter how much they try. all the issues that pushed them aside and made it so that they were replaced by other exchanges still exist if not grown more sever.

besides that is how this world have always worked. the centralized altcoin exchanges have always had an expiration time and it didn't start with Poloniex either. there were others before it too. like Cryptsy which was huge before they died, then Polo came along, then was replaced by Bittrex and then as they scammed they got replaced by Binance and soon enough Binance will be replaced by another exchange and the chain goes on.

It is likely a cycle of crypto exchange as well as market selections, right? So, I think there are always opportunities to come back. Who did actually imagine Binance will take the first position in crypto exchange ecosystem just a few months after its start? In reality, Binance did it and still stood steadily at the first position. However, issues come, issues solved, or issues go away, exchanges are huge, then small, or dead, but there are always two sides, challenges and opportunites, they are both exist at the same time. I am a big fan of Poloniex, honeslty, so I give them a hope to be big again.

As for whether it can become a leading exchange, that will be tough considering how stiff competition has gotten, which is likely to get even stiffer as new exchanges and especially decentralized ones arise.

It's good to see the site want to change become better, so far I haven't see a serious improvement yet, but I am happy if the site want to change, poloniex got a huge support before they turn bad, it was one of the most trusted exchanges and one of the best exchange at that time, hopefully they will continue to improve, but it will be quite difficult, once the reputation is ruined it will be difficult to gain trust, and recently there are numerous of exchanges that keep on appearing

They loss in the competition when Binance took over most of the volume but it's time for them to compete, I'd like to see more

Their volume as of today is only $26 million, compared to Binance which is over $1 billion, it's a big challenge but if they improve they can.

I don't think they'll ever regain their position as one of the top exchanges, they've received way too much bad press in the past.
Personally, I really wouldn't use them anymore, there are just way too many better options out there.

Nope, I don't think so. If someone are familiar with Poloniex site, they might like its design and don't require changes. It is the same here, when we are familiar with the forum's graphic design, why we need changes? What we need are new features, not graphic design. For Poloniex, the ideas to add new feature that allows direct swap from Ethereum and its tokens might be cool.

It's so difficult to bring back the credibility of old poloniex again, the developer of polo has destroyed its own exchange site. Not only polo but as far as I remember bittrex was doing the same thing to its exchange site.
They were blatantly blocking a lot of accounts without any reason.

this is good for them but they will need to work very hard to bring back many users that has left and to return to top exchange. now the competition is high and everyone is trying to offer its users the best experience so its now a tight game. they had the chance and didnt utilize it very well. poloniex was the first exchange i used but unfortunately i left because of too many complains almost everytime.
