The bull market will start and yes its not that high, but since the price are recovering now we can have more confidence again in the market. 6K is the resistance that should be broken for the bull run to happen.  If we ever get pass 6k, it is possible to see a rapid growth in price. But just like you, I doubt we will reach 15k this year. Maximum I think is 10k. The golden cross for bitcoin is a positive sign that we are in an uptrend market.

2018 was not a good year taking in the consideration the facts about the bear market and this year still has the potential to be a year of the bull run. Last ATH prices are not hit by the 2 years and possible attacks are not realized by bulls.

Hopefully this is the start of bull run in the market. Many possibilities this year in crypto so let us face the risks. Since the price is up and down but these days it starting to increase again. So I am positive in bitcoin market to recover this year but cannot predict the price.

It's okay that you cannot predict the price because until now we don't know what price is possible. But most of us are giving their own prediction and even me because we are exciting of what happen to the bitcoin and I hope that's real to happen.  Market recove will sure of that but now lets need more investors to help us to recover it.

One thing that I had noticed this week is that Bitcoin seems to be regaining some of its past strength. For example, the Bitfinex scandal was only able to make a temporary dent in the bull run and now the prices are once again moving upward. I disagree, I want to see how the market reacts when China announces a mining ban on May 7th. When 70%-80% of the bitcoin, litecoin and many other coins disappear overnight you can bet your fucking ass the market is going to respond.
There could be a real panic over a (hopefully) temporary mining situation.

I'm not hypocritical that bitcoin can meet increased price in a matter of hours I have watched it in many times. So, it can be happen for bitcoin to reach 15k in the end of this year but we must believe also in reality. There are many information that can makes bitcoin fall and also up, but for this situation some people tend to believe and react quickly to the information that can make bitcoin fall instead they response quickly to the information that csn makes bitcoin up. Personally, I don't myself believe that we are following the 2017 patterns (if anything, it is more like 2015), but still. We didn't surge nonstop through 2017 to all time highs, and in April of that year we were trading in 2-3k range (which is 2 times lower than today's price, just in case). In the summer there were a couple of major corrections, while the real growth had started only in September. Then, within a little over a period of 3 months, we reached 20k. So it is definitely not about the math (or meth) as Bitcoin had been able to do just that and starting way lower

That's a very positive attitude sir but after that Bitfinex drama, I'm expecting that those same people will release those kind of FUD between the coming months that will make btc struggle to even reach $10k before the end of the year. But it is little hard to move this year because sudden pump and dump was possible at anytime so we believe our own risk and invest or hold properly in crypto investment.

The last time we saw such a huge increase in the price of bitcoin there was a very good reason for it, the developers had just activated segwit and the majority of the community was happy about it, if you want the price to reach those levels again then there must be a reason for that to happen and I am sorry to say this but I fail to see it, however I believe a price of 10k by the end of the year is achievable and we will not need a huge increase in the price for this to become a reality.

The more the price grows the more difficult it becomes to keep the bull market going on, this is easy to see with small cap coins that can double their price in a single day, something that is impossible for bitcoin due to its size, so even if for you 15k does not seem to be that far away the truth is that each additional dollar in the price of bitcoin requires and even greater demand just to move the market, and also the bears do not remain static and the more the price grows the more pressure they apply to try to make it to go down.

I totally agree with you, Bitcoin is waxing strong and will be to that amount soon. If people bought at the time the thread was created, they would have gained a lot now. Bitcoin was traded at 9k$ in some exchanges today.

But nobody knows that the price would be that of today. I, for one would buy when it was $4K if i am sure that it would reach the $9K level. I hate to say it but it is just manipulation by some of the whales for their own interest.

So how much should the price rise?

Till you consider it a bull market? Should we just achieve a new ATH or twice the last ATH maybe? If anything, we have been rising starting at a little above 3k and went as high as 9k (Bitfinex prices), which is a little short of 3 times. While I would like to see a stable growth myself the truth is that the volatility of bitcoin is so big that it is almost impossible to see that kind of growth, and you just have to look at the current market to know that is true, the price more than doubled in just a few months and this is something that you must take into account when devising your strategy otherwise whatever strategy that you may create in order to profit from this market is not going to be as effective as it could.

$15000 seems difficult for bitcoin to reach this year, but it still possible if there are breakthrough moment that will pump the price of bitcoin, i think bitcoin price will not pass $11000 until early december 2019. i hope you can make profit from this tiny range, take many chance from this gold oppprtunity. but dont spend all of your portofolio to jump in one basket, make another basket for your crtptocurrency investment, so you can minimize the risk and avoid from total lost.

Sometime i think about that too. In 2017, when bitcoin pumped very high, maybe a lot of people already inside it and in future, is there are people who still have trust with bitcoin and still make investment in it.
