But in reality, it's likely they are paying for the identities in terms of KYC+airdrop combination.

This airdrop works well. But i took it when BTC was at a higher price and now stellar value has fall like other altcoins. This airdrop was like this at the beginning of stellar they were already asking for kyc. But this airdrop is better than the Electroneum mining simulation which asks selfies and only gives 0.005 usd per day.

This airdrop or giveaway from blockchain users are going around for a long time right now. I don't really think that I can give my identity for XLM and not in that amount of 25$. But still thank you for sharing it to us many of newbie didn't know about this I guess.

I don't know why some are pumping the value of airdrops. This is 25$ giveaway and not $40.

I see such thing every day as the majority is posting $200 airdrop but when you check you see it is actually $1 airdrop:)

I've also enjoyed it and it's really easy because we only need to register by giving our identity, this is the best Airdrop now in my opinion and this can make Airdrop more attractive to people because previously Airdrop was a junk coin or just cheating.

actually this airdrop has been a long time but at that time the blockchain said that the prize was limited and I don't know why until now this airdrop is still paying, if the prize is limited, now the blockchain not give xlm again

I have never earned anything over $ 5 on airdrop. That is why I stopped doing nonsense and participate in various Airdrop. However, it is worth noting that some people are sometimes lucky and they manage to earn good money on airdrop.

Coinbase too is providing a similar Stellar airdrop for learning about Stellar. Last time I checked, they promised to provide $50 worth of stellar for every accounts. They have now placed me in waiting list. I'm not a KYC verified user in Coinbase and they have no info whether we need to provide KYC or not.
There are similar airdrops of ZEC, BAT and ZRX.

Worth it or not worth it depends on people. Maybe people from rich country which their daily income more than 25 USD won't agree to do ID verification. But somewhere in a poor country, there are a lot of people willing to give their identity even for 5 USD because with that they can buy some food.

Honesly, I did on blockchain. Doesn't mean that my identity is just worth of 25 USD and  they can sell mine to other parties, but because I trust them, that they would not do so.

You got some point here mate where there are really people who do comply those things without minding their identity as long the can get some few dollars then that would be the main thing for them

This practice of literally exchanging sensitive personal data in exchange for stipends is becoming a trend in the crypto space and i fear we will sooner or later see drastic effects and harm such practices can cause.. I just hope it won't further retort the image of the crypto community.

This has been trending for quite some time now and I do not know if it is still available. Peradventure it is still active, the airdrop is less than $40.
Then there are other requirements attached to it, part of which is that you will be required to submit your personal details in fomr of kyc.

This is an offer from the popular blockchain wallet provider. It's actually $25 worth of Stellar(XLM) and not $40. and KYC is a most, it seems they are under pressure to ensure full KYC for their customers, whoever likes it may apply. KYC is now the order of the day, this may be part of government regulations.

This airdrop is better than normal known KYC required airdrops in my opinion. Electroneum mining applications don't require any personal information as far as I know.

But in return, they are asking for personal information and a kyc. 25$ worth your kyc is something debatable.

Basically, misleading information is everything I've read on this day, I saw that airdrop last january and think it was very hard to accomplish though, I believe that blockchain will going to really provide the compensation, I think they should better decrease the difficulty in the verification process.

Actually excactly that's what I think. Blockchain.com is a company inside the EU so they have to follow EU-laws unlike most of those shady airdrops requiring KYC for a few cents. I also wouldn't expect my bank to do anything bad with my personal data. I'd be more concerned about Facebook and even then...
But just for fun I contacted them and requested a deletion of my personal data and I'll leave feedback as soon as I got an answer.

Lol, a deletion of account after you have been bribed with $40? Just kidding, but I really doubt if blockchain itself would do anything terrible or dangerous with our information, since we are in the ear of blockchain, they probably just have one or 2 additional idea to make the system a better one and would require our KYC.

Still, what I don’t get is why a company running on a blockchain technology would require KYC, isn’t that the concept of blockchain, to operate on a decentralized system without a middle man, so if I still have to make my identity know though KYC, has that not totally defeated the objective?

Yes did you just say it is $40? Lol, they are giving $25 and you will also have to verify your identity before they will airdrop the $25 worth if Stellar (XLM) to your Blockchain wallet. Oh and I can remember that my friend already done that and they didn’t give him any $25 XLM and they just declined it and saying that he can’t try again.

I just don’t trust them, maybe it is working for others but I think for me it is a big risk. Why I said it is a big risk is because I’m not the type of person that likes to give out my information in things like this, if they want to give me the XLM, they should just do it cause it’s not going to cost them anything.
