ICO and IEO in my opinion two things are the same. twins, exactly the same. Same with fundraising/crowdfunding. They both want to raise funds to run their projects. The difference is that ICO is not carried out in exchange, but the IEO collects funds through the exchange market. The IEO has guaranteed its survival in the stock exchange after the fundraising period has finished, unlike ICO. The IEO came after the ongoing scam tragedy at the ICO. The point is that the IEO is here to replace the previous fund-raising system, ICO.

IEO oriented to Exchanges. This way projects get less amount of money, exchanges get more money. In short term it is a good option to get profits, but in a long term nobody need this project anymore, the price will be dumped hard.

IEO is relatively new and we can't just jump into conclusions yet to which is more profitable whether IEO or ICO, there were some ICO that was very profitable especially at the early stage of the ICO circle until we started seeing scammers coming into the system to corrupt it, I remember how I benefited so much for just participating in neo ICO, but now those kind of profit can hardly be acquired via ICO platform so let's see what IEO has to offer and check if it is better than ICO or not.

IEO will be more secure and less scam will happen because it will be at least screened by the exchange. If the IEO is being hosted by a top exchange, there is a lesser chance that it is a scam. This is very different from ICO where scam is very rampant. And since an Exchange is guaranteed in an IEO, you are sure you can sell them tokens if need be. It is way better than ICO and can offer a better chance for a profit.  The only way you can lose is that if the token is shitty and you become a bag holder or get dumped on.

in my opinion. Both IEO and ICO are a way of fundraising. i care more about the project itself. if it is a good project, i will invest in it, whether it is ICO or IEO.

The risk in IEO is much lesser compare to ICO, because in IEO, we can assure that after the offering, it's sure that the coin they offer on their exchange will be listed. The only problem on this is the project itself, not all listed in IEO are a quality project, there are still shitcoin in there and some of them are really manipulated just to make money on people.

I have not had the privilege of participating in IEO, but based on what i have been privilege to know, most especially considering the trend of previous that have been successful, i think i still prefer ICO.
Yes, unlike IEO, i know that most ICOs dump after listing, i is still profitable for long term investors an for traders.

The only advantage that I can see is that IEO's can be instantly traded in a major exchange (the one behind the IEO, like Binance).

But this can be a double edged sword. I've seen plenty of ICO's where people dumped the token as soon as it became tradeable.

Honestly I think startup funding is all the same regardless of the three letters involved.

If the project is good it'll fly, otherwise it collapses, no matter if you used crypto (ICO/IEO/STO/whatever) or kickstarter.

Of course it depends on the project, if ICO or IEO is good and can reach hardcap then we can get big profits, but I agree that currently the IEO is better and more profitable than the IEO.

IEO is more profitable than ICOs probably in a way that if the IEO is conducted in a well known, trusted, and good exchange. But if IEO is conducted in a poor exchange, no volumes such as that, it is in the same pace like an ICO.

i know ieo is better than ico, but usually when the project(ico) not reach their hardcap, that just shit coins, never listing or just a cheap coin, but in ieo the coin will listing but not sure will increase like you say, ieo just will reduce your risk i think

I don’t think that this is generally better, because I don’t see any advantages that would help develop cryptocurrency as a whole. The only plus is taking responsibility for the exchange. These are really great opportunities today.

ICO and IEO basically have the same risks and benefits that vary for investors depending on the superiority of the project, the only difference is the process. The IEO may have more effectiveness in raising funds but there is no guarantee that everything will work. Exchange reputation also greatly influences the success of the IEO project and dumps when launching is natural.

but at least by being an IEO participant and being able to contribute to the IEO that has very well-known exchange places such as binance and others that will benefit because it will definitely be quickly registered on the exchange and can be used to trade quickly without having to wait long.

Not so many people are able to buy on the binance IEO. the instant listing will be the only advantage for IEO. That gives more guarantee to the investors if that coin can be traded as soon as possible. But a lot of IEO that can't attract the demand and they are ended in a big loss too.

Yeah, IEO still on the process that we be able to witness its effectivity and what it make change into the market flows.
We know ICO since from the start but it did something destroying its profitability and turns into bad experience by all investors. May this IEO will give a huge impact and diverts our bad interpretation with the market. We are hopeful but not a 100% until it is proven.

ICO and IEO are the same things and it is not correct that IEO are profitable then ICO. Now the new coins offering start coming through exchange rather then buying through their sites. This is the new trend and it will take some time to prove its credibility.

I think the ICO and IEO are the same, both of them aim to get money from investors, but it must be admitted that the number of ICO scam projects in 2018 makes the reputation of ICO bad and investors prefer the IEO.

I don't think so for me they are just the same the only thing that is different is that IEO already have a place to sell their token,While ICO would take some time to be listed.
And if I am not mistaken IEO shares their profit to the token/coin holders.

I will give an example of a BNB, if we compare the price of the BNB at ICO with the current price then we will find the fact that the price has experienced a significant price increase? it shows that investors also get a lot of profit and it can still continue to grow if they want to hold a BNB for longer because I see that BNB has very good potential in the future, even I think in the end BNB will be ranked 3 or 4 on the market

I heard too there was situation when people are more likely to choose investing on IEO rather than purchased after release because they says it is more profitable and no wonder if almost IEO always be sold out even in minutes because the opportunity to get profit is more good than waiting those tokens release
