I speculate that Dana is doing anything to make this fight a certainty on April 18 not because of Ramadan. It might be to clear the road for Conor. I reckon if winner is Khabib, Conor will challenge. However, if winner is El Cucuy, Conor will fight the loser hehehehe.

So bottom line is, Conor will fight Khabib regardless of who will win the fight this April 18. Poor Justin Gaethje if that is the case, he is far more active fighter than Conor who just won the fight last January 19 against Cerrone and now he is the top contender?

Yes because Conor is will create more wealth for Dana and the UFC. However, Conor might fight Justin if Khabib demands to fight only the next challenger on the line which is Justin.

Oh men! People's Champ is now facing another controversy. What do you guys think the reason behind such behavior? The authorities said he "performed poorly" on the breathalyzer test meaning he is drunk that time but I wonder what would be the result if he will undergo a drug test as well .

On the other hand, Stylebender is now starting to mock him through social media. Hahaha, this could create an intense rival story in the future and it excites me (just in case one of them will adjust on weight class).

At least Jon Jones, I’m sure, quietly handed himself to the police and did not cause any trouble. He understand that causing resist will only make his problems bigger.

I remember when Alistair and Valentine Overeem were asked to leave the club by bouncers. Evening ended with 8 of bouncers getting into hospital And Alistair only got a cut on his fist. Would be madness if Jon performed something like that while being drunk.

It's sad to see he can't stop drinking unfortunately. Alcoholism will be his biggest opponent in his career I guess. I hope he will at least learn to stop making stupid things while being drunk  

It is not the first time he is under trouble for drink and drive and he is not going to change, he has all the money in the world to hire someone to drive for him or download uber for his after drinking activities but he just cannot change and his alcohol addiction will destroy his career.

I was watching his podcast in the mean time and even he was not that serious about the COVID virus in the early stages but when he had Michael Osterholm in his podcast his perception changed and Osterholm warned before hand about the seriousness of the virus and how it will affect the entire globe if you are not taking any precautions and that is what really happened now with the number of patients in the US has increased more than anywhere else in the world.

Jon Jones is the best in the world at fighting but he cant keep himself together, what a pity. Its not surprising given his history but its very unfortunate at this point in time. We imagined that he would have changed by now. His last fight against Reyes was a letdown too.

UFC 249 is huge and I wonder if the MMA gods will let it happen, Since Khabib cant fight during Ramadan.

On one hand this event (and few following) can be an event just to fill the gap between Adesanya belt fight and Khabibs fight, but on the other, this event is in Brasil and lots of fighters are from the, this can be a KO/bloody night. If only the fighters wish to remind what Brazilian Valetudo was.

Only few countries are ignoring covid, and one of them is Sweden and we know that they are big fans of MMA.

The chances are very slim that the event even takes place, the real problem is that Khabib is in Russia right now as per reports and they have completely stopped outside travel and with that situation he has to get VIP permission from the government to move out for the event and even with that in mind it is impossible to expect the fight in Sweden as the number of cases keeps on increasing and the only viable places are Saudi and UAE with the help of their government other than that there is no way that the fight happens in April and the reason is evident with the number of patients increasing on a daily basis and the number of death crossed 33600 globally.

Thiago Santos is calling for a title fight against Dominic Reyes but i doubt we will see that happen and the uncertainty about when everything returns to normal is a huge problem in that plan. Not heard anything about Jones after the arrest as the court date is next month and i am not expecting him to go to jail considering the current situation.

I still cannot believe how the leaders of the nations did not care about the Coronavirus before. As if we never had experiences with viral and dangerously contagious diseases. I am disappointed in how this pandemic has been handled in the most developed countries.

There might not be flights happening right now but I'm sure both parties can get on a private jet to meet somewhere unless all flights are disallowed (but I'm sure they're not and the military will still be flying around). As much as I want to see this fight right now I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Would be awesome if they got the military to fly them out and had the fight on some warship somewhere  .

I'm sure Dana was doing all he can to get it done but it's probably out of his hands and in that of the government and sporting bodies and whether they will allow it. Can you imagine how huge this fight would be though since there's practically zero sports going on right now? The buzz around this fight if it went ahead would be huge and imagine how many people would tune in to watch it given how half the planet is seemingly on lock-down right now with nothing to do and a hunger for sport. All they need to do is test the fighters and their crew and they could have the fight in any suitable fighting gym anywhere in the world. No need for a massive arena. I really hope this fight goes ahead at some point. Even behind closed doors I think that will add a little excitement to the fight. You'll be able to hear every punch and breath of the fighters and Kabib is known to talk/taunt his opponents during the game.

Delayed again. At least it is delayed, but no cancelled. Btw, what the hell Khabib is doing in Russia, if his trainer said that the gym is closed for everyone except Khabib. And Khabib had pictures and story in this gym in instagram. He just flew away back home when situation with covid-19 became more dangerous?

He could have stayed in US for 2-3 weeks and do the fight. It was 1000% obvious that the borders would be closed soon and wont be able to return to US till April 19. Khabib again sneaked from fighting Tony?
