What a fight it was. The big Ank did it again. It was complete domination by Ankalaev in this fight. In this fight I noticed Ankalaev striking has also got better. I think his last fight with Alex has taught him a lot. I think now guys UFC should make the fight between Ankalaev and Alex again. Whoever wins the fight will have their chance for the title fight. I think guys that will be a great situation if the UFC makes it happen.

But this one, like the last one, has a main event that nobody asked for. But I'll look more closely into each match up to see what's decent. Kinda lazy lately... Anyway, here's a promo vid of the next event. Lol. Did anybody watch the event (I didn't )? When I looked at the results I was kinda surprised that Guskov lasted 5 rounds before getting finished. Gonna watch the replay later as it got me curious. Was the main event event good? I can sum-up and name this fight as "one was not able to do anything, other did not want to do anything". That is why it took 5 us rounds to find out who is going to win. If previously Ankalaev wasnt most exiting fighter to watch, then this time he became even more cautious. Slow tempo. After first connected strike by Guskov, Ankalaev went wrestling, clinching and tried to tie up his opponent. With such low activity, Ankalaev will have to make another 11-0 to get a title shot. However, if I blame Ankalaev for being boring, I can double blame Guskov for not being aggressive and in late rounds not risking all he got to win.

Here's the degen parlay of the week... Ankalaev Erceg Dulatov Rzepecki Kuniev Vagaev WalkerJacoby Patterson Bonfim Tuchalov Davis Hussein The line is at 497.94 so 10 bucks wins 4979.36. What so you guys think of the picks? Anyway, here's the media day vid. UFC Abu Dhabi Media Dayhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJTRhLPry6oI liked the addition of Valter Walker, Johnny Walker's brother. He always says he'll be champion in a few years and is just preparing. Let's see how committed he is. Depending on the outcome, you could bet he'll win with a foot submission, just like the other times. I had predicted what would happen, and it did. Valter Walker won with practically the same submission as always. With that, he increases his ranking and, for me, he's already much better than his brother just for winning a fight.

Magomed "Wild Chanco" Zaynukov is one of the best lightweights. Every time he steps into the octagon, he improves. Now he is on an undefeated record, and this guy has a lot of potential to become one of the best lightweight fighters in the world. He is also a two-time Muay Thai champion, and he trains with Team Khabib, which is one of the best teams in the world. I think, guys, when Islam gets retired, he will take his place. This guy has a lot of talent. Dagestanis are mostly famous for wrestling, but along with being a good wrestler, he is also a good striker. All the best to him for his next fight.

There wasn't much action in the Ankalaev Vs Guskov, but at least it didn't have to go to the judges and Ank got a finish in the 5th. Will this be enough to earn him another title shot? Possibly. But it's not a secret that the UFC doesn't want him anywhere near the belt. I wouldn't mind seeing him against Paolo Costa, who's currently ranked 4th in the Meta ranking (6th in the Media ranking).
Rzepecki Vs Zaynukov was a promising fight and both delivered a good show. Both were undefeated prior to the fight and for both of them it was their UFC debut (Zaynukov had one fight in the Contender Series). Rzepecki showed a good fighting spirit but came up short. I hope he will rebound in his next fight. Zaynukov looked really sharp and he might go high in the lightweight division.

I could not believe what I saw, but Conor McGregor is planning to have another fight in UFC in next summer I understand he is doing this just for the money but I would not pay a single cent in watching his next fight. We have interesting fight card this weekend, and time is more suited for viewers from Europe this time.

I think it's next year that Conor MacGregor will have another fight, because it was reported that he tore his ACL and meniscus on his right knee in his match against Holloway. He didn't even last 2 minutes in the ring. So that kind of injury requires long period of time for it to fully heal. Even if comes back fully healed, I don't think he will be able to compete properly against his opponents. His opponents would want to target the knee, which will of course wear him out quickly. I thought he made millions before he retired then, why is he causing more issues to his health. He should just focus on his political career in Ireland and stop the delusional dream of returning back to the ring. He's way past his prime TBH.

Yeah, Most likely Ank fights Poatan again next. Ank's style isn't flashy and wrestling honestly, is boring AF for large audience base. That's the main reason why Ank won't get a title shot again straight up. Even though he dominated the previous fight. Surprised that Erceg lost the way he did. He had all the advantage and fight experience that one could have but got absolutely destroyed.

I think guys that will be a great situation if the UFC makes it happen. WTF are you talking about?, Pereira is now a heavyweight, how come you don’t know this and you’re a UFC fan? Pereira already made it clear that he’s staying at heavyweight so there’s very little chance that he will be fighting as a light-heavyweight contender anytime soon. This means that his trilogy with Ankalaev might not happen unless there’s big money involved and enough to change Pereira’s mind about fighting in LHW again. And as for the LHW title shot, now that Ulberg is out and nursing his injuries, the UFC may likely organize a contender series probably between Ankalaev and Jiri and then winner gets the title at Ulberg when he comes back fully in 2027. Or better still another match up that i’m sure would be a banger fight: Paulo Costa vs Khalil Rountree jr. Yeah, Most likely Ank fights Poatan again next. Ank's style isn't flashy and wrestling honestly, is boring AF for large audience base. That's the main reason why Ank won't get a title shot again straight up. Even though he dominated the previous fight.
Do you even know what you’re saying at all ? Or you’re just here to shitpost? You and @Noorooo should make proper findings before coming here to post untrue and false information. Even the way you’re clamoring about Ankalaev fighting Poatan next makes me think that you not a real UFC fan at all. Real fans know that Pereira vacated LHW division and moved up to heavyweight and so there’s no way he is gonna fight ankalaev anytime soon unless it’s a big money fight. Also i don’t know what makes you think that a fighter’s fighting style is what determines whether they can get a title shot or not. Ankalaev is a former champion in his division and the current number one contender in his division and he is definitely more closer to getting a title shot than any other contender in the LHW division. So i’m pretty sure he doesn’t give a fuck about what you think about his fighting style.

Conor has become what I have mentioned in the forum before. He has become something similar to an ICO scammer where he will collect all of your money and release a very bad cryptocoin product and dump his share on everyone! However, similar to the repeated victims of these scam ICOs, Conor will also have repeated victims on his next fight heheheh!

Of course no, Ankalaev wont be even close to a title fight with such performance. UFC were against giving him a title fight in the bast because he has 0 media, his fights are boring (however I can admit his fighting style is effective). People joke that with every win Ankalaev is getting further from title shot Even though he has won, even though it was a finish, will you want to see another ~25min of fight like that? Even people in the venue boo'ed to this fight, and they were fighting almost as at home. Imho to get another title shot, Maga needs numerous wins to make.

You clearly haven’t been keeping up with the things going on in the UFC and this post of yours is yet again another cue that indicates to me that you’re probably not a real UFC fan like i’ve mentioned before in my previous quoted post to you or perhaps you’re just here to shitpost. I wonder why your posts are still up when they’re clearly misinformed; OP what’s going on ? First of all Isam makachev isn’t even in the lightweight division anymore. So saying that Zaynukov will replace Islam when he retires doesn’t make sense at all. Secondly, you seem to be overhyping the guy. Yes he’s a good fighter and has what it takes to thrive in the LW division but the dude is just 1:0 in the UFC and happens to fight in a weight division that is considered as one of the most stacked divisions in the UFC with top level elite fighters. Zaynukov becoming a top contender in the LW division is not gonna be a walk in the park for him, that i’m sure of; he still has a very long way to go before we can put him into that lightweight top contender convo.

I think the same way, Ankalaev will need a winning streak and they will certainly put him against fighters with different styles so he can prove himself again. And then, the UFC will start thinking about a title shot for him in the division.

If Conor fights in 2027, I don't think anyone is going to place a bet on him, even the current odd on him against Max Holloway was pretty high but we all saw that he couldn't even go to the stage without Trauma (he already had a trauma when he took his shoes off). Conor McGregor is washed, that's the fact. Nothing can return him back.

I heard the Ankalev vs. Guskov fight was good, so I watched the long highlight video. Although the first few rounds were a bit boring, it was nice to watch Ankalev's game plan. Guskov couldn't do much; I think he'll drop out of the top 10. In the last round, Ankalev messed up the fight and landed some accurate, well-placed punches, thus winning easily. He could have finished earlier, but he maintained his discipline.

I think Ankalaev needs to learn acting from a good coach. Ankalaev is an excellent fighter (he's proven that time and again). He knows how to fight and win, but he doesn't know how to turn his fights into spectacular events. 🧖 Meanwhile, I agree that Dana White might be dissatisfied with him. For White, the fight itself isn't as important as its spectacle. Dana White is a media businessman first and foremost (sports are secondary to him). At the same time, Ankalaev is absolutely right in that he fights very cautiously and pragmatically. No one wants to become disabled at a young age... Mixed martial arts is too dangerous a sport to fight carelessly. Nevertheless, it would be wise for him to consider how to turn his fights into a theatrical spectacle. There's no other path for a career in the UFC right now.

I think it is a shame that he is going to be able to make so much money on a farce that he can still fight. Especially after his last fight. He earned his contract though when he was putting on incredible shows, so it isn't like he can just leave 8 figures sitting on the table for a night of work. Unfortunately we will all fall for it again on the hope that we can get a flash of what once was.

This upcoming UFC main card looks amazing, and I am expecting to see a lot of KO and TKO endings. I watched several fights of Medic and I think he is a great fighter, and I think this time he is going to have supporters on his side. Sometimes this can be a good thing if fighter is mentally strong, but they can also feel the pressure to perform at their best.
