Price of goods goes up, salary never goes up!!!

Over the past 30 years, salary never goes up, I know because I saw the salary today is same as my first salary 30 years ago, I’m not disclosing my age, so don’t be too paranoia, but the price of everything goes up thru the roof, the only person who salary goes up are (ikr, salary must kept secret because it is case sensitive, don’t tell anyone else!), ok, enough rant! Try to tell your kids to work for a salary in the future, I think they could barely afford a piece of beard!!

LOL, let me guess your age using your username. I think you are 46 years old. I don’t really think this is true of every country, each country with their own way of operation and the type of organization you are working with, is it a government organization or a private organization.

In my country, your salary must increase according to your progress and grade, promotion is being done like every 2 to 3 years, and once you pass that promotion, you get promoted with packages increasing too. Private organizations also does this a lot of time, I guess it is time you change the organization you work for.

Normally, salaries should adjust when there's inflation but this is not the case for all countries. In developing countries, people really struggle due to the increasing price of goods while their salary remains stagnant. Sometimes, the minimum salary is no longer enough to sustain the daily needs of an individual anymore. Capitalism also greatly contributes to this problem. Due to this reason, many would rather choose to migrate and seek for a better life in other countries. Plus, the tax is ridiculous here which does not equate to the value you are getting. Taxpayers are very frustrated because the government don't do much and it makes you feel like you're throwing away your money.

I'm a little hesitant about what you say, every company is monitored by the government. and every company must obey the rules in each region in that country. in my own country, almost every year the government issues new regulations for regional minimum salaries. and every company must follow the rules. so I don't think it's possible for 30 years that you haven't had a salary rise, while the country's economy has definitely changed from that time, I don't know it's the company's fault or you

I don't know what country you are in but that doesn't happen in all of the countries.

A lot of other countries are making a change to the salary of other workers especially if that is a work that is in demand or in need of the country. Also, that is 30 years from now and I don't think that they would not make any increase in your salary. That just means that in those years, they do not treasure you as their worker. Even if that is a small or not so popular job, every worker should be treasured by each company.

Yes, this is bad, and also always the price of anything goes too much up then the salary, even if salary grow on a country is not enough to cover all things who are need which are more expensive than before.

Everything still depends on the level of knowledge, area of study and the time of job one is doing, we all know that things are not equally being dine, there are some high paying jobs that gives more than what you can spend in a month, and no matter the price of things in the market, you will always be able to meet up and also have change as saving.

This is why it is necessary for us to be more hardworking and try as much as possible to gather enough skills that will make way for us. You can’t compare the salary of a school cert holder to the salary of a university cert holder, it is left for the school cert holder to step up their game and join the league of big salary earners.

You should really disclose what you do for a living...and change that ASAP.

My first job was paying me around 250$ and I could barely make it, If I had to pay rent probably I had nothing left for food.
But, right not I earned close more than 8 times, and with that, I can afford a mortgage, leasing for the car and once the usual holiday trip, this on top of all the expenses and take into account I also have a child to raise.

So, the fact that for 30 years you have earned the same amount, well....it's close to impossible.
In most cases in a lot of countries due to inflation, this thing is not even possible legally, for example in my country the minimum wage is 500 euros, twice what I was earning when I finished highscool and went to college.

Reall, change your job, even flipping hamburgers will get you a wage that increases with time.

I couldn’t agree more, with the price of goods & services continue to go up, the salaries of employees is becoming small each and everyday, your lucky if you’re able to make few savings from your salary but others were drown to debts because there salaries is not enough to cover their needs. This is the reason why most of my fellow countrymen work abroad rather than giving all your effort in the land they were born because all it can offer in their plate in exchange for their hardwork is mostly canned goods and noodles. Life is really a pyramid where most of the people at the top that gets the most out of life is very few while those at the bottom share only less of what life can offer.

not all of them here are bosses, of course to be a boss we also have to know how to manage money and share it equally with employees. of course income itself depends on our own business whether it runs according to the target or even deviates. maybe the salary will rise if it is determined by the government of a region in the country and the goods will definitely follow the market.

Well, that is what we call inflation. I agree that it is getting to a worse period right now for regular stuff but at the same time it is getting cheaper for some items as well.

There was a chart that showed televisions and mobile phones got cheaper (even though the high end gets super expensive, the cheapest you can find is quite low, you can get a mobile phone for 50 bucks that you can use for years but get one for 1200 dollars too), whereas education, books, healthcare, even food gets more and more expensive while salaries are not going that high. It goes to show you one thing, if something is overstocked the price could get cheap but if its not it gets expensive, you can't really pay doctors bill today and go to him 10 years later, when you get sick you pay that moment, if we were able to pay all our hospital bills today for the next 50 years we would pay like 10 thousand dollars right away and will never pay again, but that is not an option.
