Top 10 coins are worth a good investment. We know that many of the coins are experiencing very poor developments. I personally focus heavily on the top 10 coins. But it also doesn't close the possibility that beyond the 10 coins you mentioned it, there are still many coin names that have great potential, such as:

BNB (has a great exchange of Binance)
Dash
Neo
BSV

These are the coins that you should consider also because they have a large volume.

There are really a lot of coins, perhaps everything outside the top 100 should be subjected to more in-depth analysis and selection.
Try to keep coins in your portfolio that have large announcements on the nose and also with a high level of capitalization. These are the number 1 coins for price increases.

There are a lot of potential projects out there you can include to your portfolio. What you just have to do is to do some researches and some home works before investing in any of them

I think the most important is bitcoin, then you can vary in choosing ALT, depending on which one you think is good, I prefer to rank 10th on CMC, or indeed those who have good vision for the long term.

Before suggesting some coins to you, I would like to caution you to perform researches on them before investing because these coins were identified based on the conclusion and findings of my personal researches. In a nut shell, you can also consider coins like DIVI, Bitrue BTR and WAN. These coins have great potentials of becoming huge on the market some time to come because it has got the working product, use case, good team work and expertise etc that a project needs to survive.

If you already have and holding those coins then you're good, but in addition you can also add elrond network (ERD) because i think this project is solid and has what it takes to take over the place of the coins you already have. You can learn about the project and be amaze.

I didn't saw litecoin, digibyte, and many other coins that I like. What we know about this portfolio? Its just a picks from some random person, each of us have a similar list. When we choose coins to invest each of us have a different criteriums, we make decisions and we like to take a peak on different portfolios, to make comparisons, sometimes we like what we see, sometimes we don't, anyway we need to respect other people choices.
Top coins now will not be on top forever, top 10 has been changed many times in the past and I believe next year we will see some changes again. Bitcoin and ethereum will stay on first two places, but who be on thrid place we will see. That's why we need to have some picks from lower part of the alts list, maybe some of them will rise a lot in the next period.

I would recommend Binance coin, Ethereum, NEM, Bittorent, NOIA and of course Bitcoin. And i want to recommend more coins but its to many to mention and this only some of the best to hold for short and long term.

By the way, it will also depends on how many of each coins you are holding to get a lot of profit in case the market keep soaring up.

It is cheap atm, has some advantages, like no transaction fees, has a large community,
a lot of well-known partnerships and if the coordicide works, there's a good chance of a price increase.

For now I will prefer Dash, Binance coin and BTC. But it all depends on you, I think everyone will have different suggestions, so it is better for you to observe the movement of the graph before making a decision, choose according to the observations you make and do not let you make a decision that will make you regret.

Based on my own choice i will love to select the Top 15 in the cryptomarket i mean in coinmarketcap. The likes of BITCOIN, ETHEREUM, XRP, LITECOIN, EOS, BNB, MONER, XLM, and TRON. These sets of altcoins will be very good to have in ones portfolio

Top coins will not leave the same ROI as the low marketcap altcoins, I prefer to add more low marketcap altcoins from the cheap prices thanks to the bear market.

I have participated in the IOTA token sale and their development is really slow compared to the alternative projects. The large community doesn't mean anything unless they wanna to spread their next success in the crypto industry.

Your selections are good, that is also in my direction but not as many as yours,  if you need to add more then do research on the first set of coins on coinmarketcap but I really do not like holding too many coin, so as to be able to follow updates about them, also to know when to even add more or sell.

Sometimes buying too many coins is not a good choice, but everyone has their own way and strategy in investing. But for myself I agree with you that I don't like investing in lots of coins and prefer to focus on a few coins that I think have the potential to generate profits according to what I observe.

it was the right decision. BCH is one of the most unpredictable and volatile coins which we can find on this market and it is also one of the most centralized. if you managed to earn on it then you are very lucky man

BCH is still a good altcoin to invest in, if any complains about loss then they invested at the ATH of 2017/2018, now is still a good time to buy since price is so low, this bear market have given good advantage to people to buy coins at cheaper rates
