@crazydane You have auto-exchange on to BTC? Looks like it would take forever to get payment. Maybe change it to LTC? Just a thought @philipma1957 Sorry to here about your bro-in-law. I have some experience of dementia, my grandfathers also has it (Currently 96 years old). When he was still living home he used to shut down all devices while nobody else was there, just small warning Take Care Yeah he shuts the cameras in the living room and the kitchen and the router which shuts down the ring doorbell.

Downloaded Raptoreum walled but the thing just doesn't sincronize, been at 29 weeks remaining forever. What wallet software you all using?
I used the wallet from their website. Mac version doesn't appear to work so I then got the windows version. Sync took ... 14 hours or more

Update - I had not overclocked or optimized my ryzen rig. I optimized my ram - enabling xmp or whatever it is called in your bios so my 3600 ram would run at that speed and I did a retune. To do that in hive os I had to add "force-tune": true to the flightsheet. Performance seems a little better but the crazy thing is temps are down from 70 to 40, although still showing 70 in hiveos gui they are showing 40 in the console log of the miner. Also of note apparently in hiveos the miner is not using optimized zen3 binaries so performance on the 5950x and other zen3 chips is not as good as it should be - hopefully they will fix it in an update. https://forum.hiveos.farm/t/cpuminer-missing-zen2-and-zen3-binaries-and-dependency-problems/53204

So far the price is holding steady around $.01 after the big initial spike so mining 500 coins a day gets you $5.00 which is really good for cpu.

I guess the EVGA queue gravy train has come to a screeching halt for those of us that were using it: --- cut --- Update 10/4/2021 Hello, In an effort to expedite those in queue who are still waiting for a EVGA GeForce RTX 30 Series Card, and to be fair to all EVGA customers, we are making a running change: Accounts that have NOT purchased an EVGA 30 series card yet as part of the queue will be prioritized. Accounts that have already purchased an EVGA 30 series card in the queue system, will be behind those who have not. Note: B-Stock (RX) or Step-Up 30 Series products will not affect queue positions. We hope that this update will allow more gamers to get their hands on an EVGA GeForce RTX 30 series card. If there are any questions please contact our support at sales@evga.com. Thanks EVGA --- cut --- I got about a dozen cards via the queue, will another 5 within minutes of popping.

cleaning and combing posts
Not really a sharer, but why not. Removed the fans from a S9 and tested it with an inline duct fan, with reduced speed. It is very very tolerable, i could say silent but not bedroom silent, definitely kitchen/TV room plausible! Miner is underclocked at 8.6V/550mhz/1000W http://prntscr.com/1s6mphwMy reply to this was deleted. It was " nice simple idea" Sorry that I was not verbose enough to keep my post according to the mods. I suspect it was a bot and a perfectly accurate 3 word response designed to get people to look at your screen shot idea was deleted. So here is a longer answer. along with the image you linked to. As I said "nice simple idea"

RTX A2000 card,
These are very easy, no messing with power limits, volts, etc.
12 X these = 480MH = 840W
(I have only one but maybe with those monster cases)
Just put memory as high it goes and enjoy, 70W is the limit anyway :-)
(HIVEOS & TBM 1.21)
01:00.0 RTX A2000 5940 MB · NVIDIA Samsung GDDR6 · 94.06.2C.00.01 · PL 10 W, 70 W, 70 W 41.62 MH 67° 65% 68 W 65 0 2400

41 hash, 70 watts, no power connectors, tiny, less than the price of a 3090 (3 cards for same hash rate) and no limiting?
Sounds amazing.

Yeah We really hope it lives up to the you tube videos. I grabbed these boards. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384476890212?and these psu's https://www.newegg.com/corsair-rmx-white-series-rm850x-white-cp-9020188-na-850w/p/N82E16817139247?So 7 x 70 = 490 watts a rig and 40 more you go to 540 watts build cost me 7 x 560 = 3920 gpus + 160 board + 118 psu + 20. ram 4218 and say 22 for wood and screws. 4240 does 288 hash burns 540 watts my power cost in house is 1.69 a day. it earns 23 a day net of 21 or so. 21 x 202 = 4242 202 day pay off.

202 days is pretty good!.
Ill be interested to see if you get that motherboard to hash all 8 slots with no problems, I have only 1 rig running 5 cards.
(main problem is not having 5 cards of the same type to run in a rig).
