Yes it's interesting if there is a pool created for this tournament, maybe someone who is habitual to managing a pool is willing for this tournament. The Copa America is a tournament that is not easy to predict with an underdog team that might surprise and I think this will be an interesting a pool and I'm ready to wait.

Copa America is a very much awaited competition. And basically Copa America is still a lot of great players who are waiting for their appearance. And group B and C are certainly groups that are very difficult to predict who will qualify.

Feels quite strange for me that Japan and Qatar are in this competition.
Why have they been considered for another continent's competition?
Has this been the tradition before?
What happens if Japan or Qatar win, will they be called the champions of South America?  

Anyone interested in watching the likes of Messi, Aguero, Neymar, Cavani, James Rodriguez, etc fighting for the most prestigious south american trophy?

If Argentina and Brazil really involved in this tournament with young players then we won't see regular players such as Messi playing however these two teams always be the favourite although lately the champion of this tournament belongs to usual teams such as Chille

I doubt Messi will be missing. Any of the team can lead the trophy. They both are favorite like always. Uruguay and Chile must be counted too. I always have seen those two teams play huge in Copa America.

Do you think Argentina, with an inexperienced manager (this is actually his first job as a football manager...crazy), and a bunch of newcomers in the squad, are actually favorites? Honestly, I'll be surprise if they make it to the knockout stages, their recent performances have been awful, with and without Messi.

Honestly, I didn't even knew who is manager of Argentina before I saw your post. And it's strange that they appointed this guy without any experience. Still, despite their awful recent performance I think that they favorites together with Brazil on the paper. Bookmakers also have similar opinion - odds for Brazil win is 2.3 and 5.5 Argentina.

I like the nature of the competition and it is not going to be almost a year long competition like the UCL and EPL so it should be an interesting one.

Messi is back for Argentina and his mere presence means they start as favourites to win the cup, also the squad selection of Argentina has been converted into a meme which is hilarious. Brazil has many talented players including the world’s most expensive player Neymar, hence it’s no surprise that they too are the favourites. What I would love to see is these two teams battling for the cup in the finals, it’ll be the perfect ending for this competition.

Thanks for the thread. I generally really really dislike the off season for club football in Europe, and I got to say the format for copa keeps getting weirder, but for as long as we can find entertainment in Latin American football, I'm all game.

Haven't got my hooks into any of the teams properly yet but oh Mexico look like a fiery option. Suarez is probably going to still star and so will GOAT you know who, but I'm really feeling good about some of the upstarts like Chile as swogerino says. Anyone know where they have good outrights yet?

The news that Messi playing this Copa America is being taken positively by everyone including the Argentina team. Going into the match with positive sentiments and pressuring other teams with the star player are few things which are being done to have physiological advantage. However i do agree that Messi has to perform well on the ground as well for Argentina to win the title.

Argentina won Copa America last at 1993 while Brazil at 2007. Chile was the champion on the last two season. Uruguay is the most winner of this trophy. Argentina and Brazil are all time favorite but their recent performance is way bad than others. Others team are not surprised because it's almost a common fact in Copa America for the last decent.
