Copa América 2019 Discussion Thread & Prediction Pool (registration closed)

A bit of statistics, in case anyone's interested:

Head-to-head record (all games): Argentina - 59W / Chile - 6W / 24 draws. Argentina are undefeated against Chile in Copa America games (19W, 6D). Funnily enough, Argentina lost the last two Copa America finals (2015 and 2016) against Chile in the penalty shootout so, if the game today goes to ET today, [on paper] Chile have a good chance of winning the bronze medal.

Also, last chance for Messi to show up in this Copa America, what a shit tournament he's had so far :/

Finally one solid Copa match in normal hours in my part of the world. Hopefully, it will be an entertaining one. Last two finals on Copa were between Argentina and Chile and they were not very enjoyable. This time the stakes are a bit lower so maybe we will see more open match with coaches willing to play for goal more.

I'm afraid it's going to be another typical Chile vs Argentina game, but I'll be watching since I've got some free time.

I've lost quite a loy on Argentina during this tournament (Including my picks in the pool) because of my love for Messi and I'll still take Argentina to win tonight @ 1.89 seem a pretty fair value.

I think that referee decision to give red cards for both Messi and Medel was too strict, yellow cards probably would be enough. Nevermind, Argentina were leading 2:0 already.
Now I see that I will not fall below 3rd place in our pool. I have 25.5 points together with hahay and I'm just 1 point behind big_daddy who is first. So, everything is still possible before final match

Cause minutes before, there was only tensions on the field, and there where no good and fair football

I believe with Copa America and CAF, bookies already made billions! and maybe some people with 0% knowledge of soccer and 100% luck too

Yeah right, Both Copa America and African Nations would have seen numerous gamblers lost billions of money, Both competitions have been full of upsets are we've heavy favorites lose matches on several occasion but I think that's the same case with every competition, The bookies will always win, eventually.

While I'm convinced that it was the right call by the referee, I believe showing both players a yellow card would have been better, we not even half way into the match, and the match could have gotten totally out of the referee's control if it were to be a final.

I thougt it would be more difficult for Argentina to win the match against Chile but it was not that difficult. Though I'm not a fan of Argentina, I think they deserve the 3rd place.

3rd place for Argentina is the best they could do in this tournament.
Unfortunately, Messi didn't manage to win a trophy with Argentina for another championship. This chest to chest fight was very funny though.

Argentina still manage to hold their lead despite of the fact that Messi was given Red card.
If you look at the fight, don't you think that Messi did not start this fight and he was the one who should not be given the red card

mathematically the first 3 names on the top of the pool leaderboard are those 3 who will split the rewards, the rest can play the last bet only just for fun/prestige

Low chance of scoring by Peru unless Brazil got a goal festive, you know their defence is one of most perfect. However, Peru will not be that easy for Brazil, they will not end it so easily. I think a goalless draw is possible.

The initial push by Messi was not so harsh and if you see clearly the it was chile player to smashed his chest couple of times and Messi did not responded to it. He was the one who was being hit twice by chile player.
