I am not sure that ICO is dead. Because you can see ICO is still good for investing in the sale of Bcnex tokens. They made very good sales and that could mean that ico was not dead and still very good for investment. And now the sales of Bcnex tokens are still running and every day continues to increase.

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

IEO are just ICO that just evolved or innovated. It's basically the same with advertising and raising of money but this time, it is with the help of exchanges to verify their legitimacy. But IEO ain't that special to me because money talks and the exchanges don't care if the projects that they endorse is a great project or just an ordinary as long as they got paid.

ico doesn't die, even now there are more and more projects that continue to make ICO sales. but not all good. only a really good project that can later get development funds for the project. they can hold an ICO but the most important thing is the product. even in the IEO who do not have their products will remain in doubt.

As I think you ever can find really perspective projects that will succeed in future. There are always people with money who want to earn more,so good ideas usually can find their investors. That's why ICO's are still not dead.
I don't think it depends on the potential of the project. For the crypto market, community is a key factor determining the value of a business. because there are now many "unprofessional" investors, which means they don't know how to analyze, they only buy from the crowd. that's why the community is so important at the moment.
You can see Credits, a very practical and potential project that can handle more than 1 million transactions per second. but until now it has not been able to be in the top 100 of the crypto market. besides, ordinary projects like Celer are amazingly fomo and of course its value is very high.
This is the rule of crypto market, so invest in large community projects. You will minimize the risk.

I've just observed that most investors don't care about the project they just anticipate which project's market will pump and which will dump. IEO seems to be a trend nowadays but sooner or later, ICOS will come to prominence again
Most investors do see the IEO rather than the current ico. and also they are more waiting for the open market because there are usually cheaper prices than the offer when ico. this has been a problem for a long time ico is detrimental to investors.they are certainly saturated and lose a lot so they avoid ICO

ICO is no longer in the lyrics anymore, even investors are reluctant to buy it at ICO, and many IEOs have succeeded even after their successful sales are listed on the exchange, maybe that's what they expect.

Actually there are still a lot of good ICOs, the bad reputation of the ICO at this time of course because many ICO projects are scam, with the market conditions that seem to improve as now, we must always selectively choose ICO.

of course the ico topic is not dead. it is discussed again and again but currently it is number 1 variant to get investor money. the bad reputation is unfortunately bad for the whole crypto ecosystem. a few people have simply shamelessly exploited this. but through sto and ieo there are constantly new possibilities  Smiley

Apparently, it is. IEO is the new way to raise funds for project development through reputable cryptocurrency exchanges and so far it has proven to be more effective than other processes. That is why ICO now looks moribund

right, there are actually a number of good ICOs but because so many bad ICOs make ICO's reputation decline and cover up the fact that there is still potential ICO still exists.
so actually the ICO is still not dead because the evidence is that investors are still quite eager to invest in the ICO.

There are some ICO s still but many goes to IEO and i can suggest one ICO to invest Moozicore really good project with real life product is ico is going on on Exmarkets exchange and its a good chance to invest.
Well you have this trend of IEOs in the crypto market right now. Everyone want to be part of IEOs and invest in IEO to get returns. Had ICOs not been target of scams, they would still have a kind of monopoly here. In addition, it is now tough for ICOs to restore trust of the potential investors. There might be few ICOs out there still alive but overall, they are gone.

I am agree that ICOs will not death because IEOs more popular. Not all IEOs are good and not all ICOs are bad. I think its depend on the project and depend on developers team, if the developers team transparant, i am believe ICOs still have a chance to fill their target

Nope, ICO's are not dead, because some of it are active, paying their workers in their project and successful project, that's why not all of ICO's are dead, just pick carefully and read carefully if their projects or campaign are good and perfect.

I don't think ICO will completely die because we would still have some persons who have benefited a lot from it and will still prefer in participating in ICO then any other crowdfunding, and besides not every startup have the money to pay for a launchpad in binance or any other big exchange we have in existence, so the answer is no, ICO is not dead and not dying anytime soon but a lot of investors has lost trust in ICO companies already.

Not really, because there are still good ICO'S exists even the ico was already replaced by IEO,but still investors still invest in ICO'S if they see the project is good,so i can give you a good project that offers ico and this project is Dencoin tokens so must try and make investments if you want to earn money from investment.

As you know in past ICO's have earned lot of money from investors and investors loose their money due to scams ICO's and low worth coin or tokens, so ICO's are dead now.

Regulations that can provide security for investors and all bounty. Fraudsters have leveraged many people's weaknesses by using ICO. The ICO hasn't died and during the year 2018 the project I follow some pretty good. Although the project was able to enter the market and the price collapsed.
I do not think that ICOs are fully dead but they are sure in the ICU of the crypto hospital. That means that the induction of IEO has outperformed ICO and now, more than 90% of the market is captured by IEO which means that there are only few ICOs which are also struggling. They never get to achieve their hard cap unlike every IEO in Binance Launchpad which achieve its hard cap in minutes.

I don't look at it like that, IEO is just a new form of ICO, an improvement in the legitimacy of ICOs. Crypto funding is the easiest way for startups to raise money. Scams are giving crypto startups a bad image and IEO is the solution to this problem. This helped the market gain trust on crypto fundings. There are many IEOs that appeared in the past weeks and most of it raised a good amount especially those that are held on popular launchpads like IDAX and Binance.

I think the ICO isn't dead yet. Indeed now added the emergence of the IEO. The IEO and ICO are now competing to gain the confidence of the crypto currency market. It is true if ICO is not completely dead, ICO just does not exist anymore because it already has competitors. ICO is increasingly extinct because of its decreasing trust. Many parties abused ICO to commit fraud. I am sure that if the ICO wants to re-exist and be trusted by the people, there must be many rules that must be implemented by the ICO. The ICO must make improvements from various aspects in order to be able to compete with the ICO and get the trust of the people again. ICO must be responsible.

Who will regulate and what kind of power will they have so they can regulate effectively, investors are asking for regulation so they turned to IEO because exchanges can control who they want to use their platform and who they want to promote, ICO is now being replaced by IEO.
