After the advent of IEO, many ICO projects have become much worse, but they still appear and it is impossible to say now that ICO projects are dead

I think the ICO isn't dead, it's just that the numbers are getting smaller.  I see that the IEO is more trusted and more attractive the investors to contribute to the project, this is the reason why many people are starting to leave the ICO and prefer the IEO. cmiiw

It's lesser now since IEO's has been introduced, many investors and traders are no longer supporting ico's since past experiences are not good for their invested Money, with IEO's offerings more and more investors are engaging to this new way of investment hoping that after the sale period they can quickly sell those Tokens that they have from the IEO launchpad.
investors prefer participate in IEO projects.its  more promising in profits and they could switch their asset quickly after token/coin tradeable in market.only few ICO that could collect money as their target, majority failed in crowdfunding stages.

ICO projects will be dead when none of them can start for a variety of reasons. Yet such projects, although rarely, however, appear. The current state of the ICO contributes to the poor growth of the price of altcoins and the still lack of government regulation of this type of activity. However, the situation with the decline of ICO projects is still able to change for the better.

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.
ICO gives us good, sustainable and long-term projects. The IEO only offers shitcoin and the opportunity to make money for the few people who can buy IEO, like gambling. I think the IEO will be removed soon.
it's correct. Need to have rules for ICO to protect investors and protect bounty hunter. and ICO will come back soon. I believe in that.

Technically ICOs aren't dead, because every guy with little coding skills can create the crowdfunding code that was based on Solidity and launch an ICO(with a whitepaper, website+hosting). But when you think about the overall media coverage and the lack of buyer/investor interest, yes,ICOs are dead.
I don't believe that investors are going to buy tokens from ICOs,even if the ICO has KYC verification.

no, ICO doesn't die. Don't you think that since the advent of the IEO you have felt that the ICO is dead. this is not true because the fact is that the ICO is still there and always appears every day. it's just that most ICO investors are currently switching to the IEO for several reasons, but I don't think that ICO is dead!

I think ICO is not dead, the ICO project is only less interested because of the lack of trust than most investors in investing in their shares and besides, ICO often fails in trade and there is even a scam which causes loneliness of enthusiasts and investors

I personally think ICOs are not dead but they have evolved to a new process caused IEO. I think IEOs too will evlove onto something better in the future.
Regulations is the best thing that can happen to both IEO and ICOs.

I don't think so, I still see many ico projects popping up on this forum so this does not indicate that ico is really dead. it's just that the current IEO has attracted many investors, and most of the many ico investors are taking part in the IEO rather than in the ICO. but calm down I am sure the ICO will return well after crypto regulation is immediately realized, this is the key for the ICO to stay afloat and much liked by investors again.

Yes, ICOs are dead, now replaced by IEOs. Nobody talks about investing in ICO anymore, it's now extinct. IEO is better since listing is sure and team is verified.

ico is in a terrible and awful condition, yet it doesn't mean it is dead.
numerous ico who flopped amidst the street even inevitably turned into a scam. in any case, of all there are additionally very effective.
ideally by beginning bitcoin's move towards an expansion, it will lift back a great deal of good developing ico.
Some ICO coins are just down and will still do good in a better Market.

The reason why I have stopped promoting ICOs because it  made me embarrassed when the ICO finished.Where I have exerted much effort on promoting projects but ends up of being a shitcoin. The time that I've spent posting is very  valuable but doesn't get exact payments on my sacrifices.

I agree with you with this. ICOs are not totally dead but I think they need an overhaul. Overhaul means that they need to review their process, workflow, evaluate it, standardize it, make improvements and make it a better one. ICO 2.0 must be as flawless as it can be. How can they do that? I think that's the first thing they needed to talk on a serious meeting.

Every new project still needs ICO because ICO and IEO sales clearly have price differences when making sales and why are IEOs more interested in investors? because the price they provide is indeed cheaper when they sell during the ICO and in addition the IEO is held in several large markets, making the IEO more attractive than the ICO.

For me, the IEO and ICO have the same goal, they only hope to get funding for project development.

Well, you might be right but as we can see it’s not easy to make them regulated in more efficient ways. I guess we have to accept that there will always be a new trend and people will just follow it to make more profit. Now people doesn’t trust on ICOs these days. Ico are not totally dead but time passes by so fast and everything is changing.

Now the ICOs have rebranded themselves as the IEOs. It's like old wine in the new bottle. Now every month hundreds of IEOs are getting listed in the exchanges. The last time I checked, LATOKEN had 27 ongoing IEOs. Probit and Coineal had more than 20 each. It is sad that the ICO/IEO promoters haven't learnt anything from the destruction of the ICO market in 2018-19.

At the same time, the exchanges are also being complacent. As long as they are getting the listing fee, they are allowing the crap projects to get listed. In the end, the unfortunate customers lose their hard earned money.

ICO will be not dead because always connected their project with IEO after ICO finish, I found many ICOs continue their coin project selling after ICOs ended and use IEO as their selling coins on exchange market.
That's true since it's the trend that we are seeing now, however, ICO has only been a small part of success of the coins now, most of the success are dictated in the IEO. they are raising funds ICO from maybe private investors since majority of the investors are trusting IEO and with a variety of coins in the market, they have a choice what coin to invest.

So many ico's are down from now i don't see ico's running at this moment. I think they just switch to become a IEO anyway its a good plan for them to gain money from their project.
