Are ICOs dead?

Maybe ICO have been died with many coin from ICO not success listed on market without have any reason from developer, many coin waiting more than several months for listing but bad price and listing on shit exchange. I know some time many exchange market never listed coin ICO any more but developer make banner to make many investor interested with their coin, better try to invest on bitcoin and bigger altcoin already listed on exchange market.

Regarding the current situation, I believe that there was some fear in the community in relation to ICO and that means that the great marketing of the past and the great investment does not work today. Unfortunately, the number of frauds exceeded the number of correct answers in relation to project development. However it depends on the level of commitment of the team and distribution of the project.

99% of them are shit and 1% do really have relevance or actual usage or utility but still no matter how legit they may be but ending up on a failure due to lack of funding or support.
I cant blame those investors on having these kind of doubts because if we do consider on how this market had become shitty coz of frauds then you will really be having that hesitance.
Im still surprised that there are still projects who do continuing to launch even if they do know the chances of funding support is almost to the floor.Scams and frauds tarnished out
this market or kind of funding thats why i do say that theyre nearly to be good as dead.

It's not fully dead But people lost their hopes on ICO. So most of them now invest in IEO rather than ICO. There's been a lot of scams in the goldem period of ICO due to lack of regulation and many projects failed to deliver their products till now.

ICO is not completely dead, it's just that currently it is very difficult to attract investors to invest in ICO, this is because last year's ICO was run by scammers and take away investor's money, only legitimate projects were able to attract investors' trust in ICO.

there was a time that ico's where booming but because lot of scam's and failed projects that time changed to an IEO area , not sure if that IEO are trustable only because they are held with the permission on exchanges , and there will still be ico's but the best period for all of that kind of crowdfunding is almost over

In 2019, almost 95% of the ICOs held ended in scams. I no longer know how much loss of time, thought and energy I spent, surely everyone feels it. Currently, ICOs are starting to fall out of favor. What we are waiting for is the DeFi project and an exchange offering.

First time I know with ICO during 2017 after resign from become publisher on UC union website, I try my lucky with joining many bounties campaign project and I know from bounty with many ICO, then I try to invest little with many ICO and worth because after listing many investor become richest with higher price above ICO price and could raise more than 60% from ICO. Maybe at the early of ICO many owner trusted and responsibility with his coin to list on bigger exchange market and have under 30% allocation coin for advice team, different with ICO right now more than 70% supply coin on dev hand and they can sell when they want and make price dump.

ICO is partially dead because people don't have interest in them anymore, for investors to be drawn to a new ICO project that project must be one of a kind, I'm talking about high quality projects with impressive use case, I've seen some low projects using ICO today and they hardly raise softcap, I'm wondering why they plan to use ICO in the first place when they know how small their chance is.

ico starting in 2019 is filled with more product scams. I more agree for ico to come back again, because ico is very profitable like in 2017 where prices are not dumped, but after ico appeared IEO and IEO it is certain dump prices are not like ico. it makes many investors lose

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

Judging from the amount of failed ICO's I have seen after 2017, I can't help but say ICO's are dead, it has completely lost the trust of investors that's why it's no longer taken serious, unlike back then when investors were so eager to invest any upcoming ICO, but due to too many ICO scams investors have lost interest in them,investors find IEO's much more preferable now,  cause it offers them safety, IEO is the future.

But for some reasons like scams, looting investors money, or not deliver any projects the investors slowly lost their trust in the whole ico thing. And after that a new type of investment process comes which is a bit devloped from of icos that is ieo. In ieo the trust factor is very much high. If a big exchange offer and project their are very few chance the project is scam. So people started to invest in ieos. And the whole ico thing is almost died now.

Exactly, wayback 2017 to 2018 ICO’s investors put their money to that, but when scammers joined the party, that’s when ICO started to fall down. That’s why I think IEO was born, and I hope the new era will take the lead and i hope that it will less the scams.

The main advantages of ico are to advertise the project for little money if the project has a good prototype, then it will certainly raise money.
the community will always be eager to be the first to know about the project and will give money if they see this prospect.

I think it won't come again without proper regulation. People lost their hopes on ICO due to a lot of Scam and fake project. So IEO is better than ICO. Atleast people can trust it..

I don't expect ICOs to die, because I still have the wish that ICO trends can come back again. Fortunately ICOs are not completely dead,
it's just that the number of ICOs that have sprung up and are running is much reduced. But I am optimistic that in the future ICOs will rise
