As an investor, i cannot participate in IEO conducted by small and new exchanges. The main reason why IEOs are preferred to ICOs is because they are more prone to scam than ICOs, and this is because the exchange validates its legality with their reputation. Imagine Binance or any top exchange conducting a scam project, it will jeopardize their integrity, and these exchanges do not want their integrity in question, so they only offer legit and promising projects IEO. New exchanges do not have the reputation to validate a project, they are just after the profit, SO they might promote a scam project either intentionally or unintentionally.

in my opinion IEO or ICO is same way its a investment so there are always a risk. before there are lot ICO that happen in exchange its similar to IEO and a lot of those coin become scam or team abandon the token and build a new one.Result price drop and investor loss load of cash.So i think there a high possibility that some IEO will also turn to scam. its better to make a lot of research because only those token with dedicated team, solid supporters and good purpose survive.

Small exchanges are not reliable, so IEOs conducted by them are also not reliable. I wouldn't be surprise if investors got scammed by participating in IEOs conducted by these small exchanges.

Yes, there are high possibilities that IEOs also turn into a scam. Because scammer always tries to find and scam people in different ways. I posted about this subject when the first IEO was Launched on the binance platform. I think mostly the less reputed and new exchange will affect investor by the scam IEOs.

doesn't mean that following the IEO on a new exchange will end in a scam. in anticipation of and attracting the IEO interest on new exchanges, the new exchange must provide transparent information on audit results on the IEO that will be supported along with the valuation method. if this is not fulfilled I am not interested in following it. because I doubt the new exchange integrity.

Most trusted IEO right now is binance, the other exchange not yet able to convince me that the sale works well or just manipulation ..thats why bnb coin is really looking have a bright future

IEO is not a method to eliminate Scam, should not think subjectively that it will achieve success and profit for investors. Nobody wants to steal and scream but it will be hidden under other leverage. Therefore, it is not recommended to trust the IEO without really understanding and acknowledging that project in a specific way. Remember, everything is possible.

This is what people talking about that more and more exchange will attempts to held IEO's because tempting to get more money from it and the investors should be more carefull to decide which IEO will be picked indeed we can minimize scam IEO with stick to IEO from big exchange because usually IEO from them will confirmed as legit projects although there is no guarantee every projects from them will always be profitable

Exactly. Everything can happen in cryptocurrency. No one can predict that. However, you need to be cautious about some IEO projects you know nothing or little about. Make sure you know a lot about which IEO you want to invest.

Yes if the partnered exchange is also a scam. So you also need to make a research on the exchange before buying IEO tokens. But mostly IEOs are real projects with real people so we can't see a higher possibility for it to be a livelihood scam.

By the virtue of conducting an IEO won't guarantee or robber stamp project will not turn out to be scam, ico is not working out for raising money at this present time, scammers too are using this new method of fund raising.

I read some post on here that mainly focus on an IEO ,the guy invest ed up to 0.4btc and after the IEO project start trading its 0.4btc turned to 0.03 which is a huge lose in value and the guy start saying the IEO is scam ,not all IEO will bring huge profit instantly some will lose value at start and later gain better value ,my advice is investors should take there time and do proper research on any IEO project before investing a penny ,the popular the exchange used the better

Well, these are the same projects that will continue to deceive investors. We only know this in a year how many projects will be stolen by the investment. Do not blindly believe in success. It is worth conducting a rigorous analysis of all the work.

This is just the truth. We should not invest in any how IEO due to hype alone, there are things to take into consideration and you have pointed them out.
A good exchange promoting an IEO must also put in steps to protect their users, but I don't think same can be said for small or new exchanges which just sping up, filled with hype etc.

for example,
look the yobit , their IEO just nothing than shit.
and of course they just want free money from this trend.
for investor like you,as i know so far,just focuses on binance/bittrex/top 10 exchanges IEO.

You say that because project that you are following now has finished doing the IEO at IDAX but in reality you don't know what IDAX has done for some of the projects that do the IEO there

yes because partiipating in IEO from small/new exchange is medrisk, because if from small exhange of course we looking the volume daily trade, if too low is risk, btw even from big exchange not guarante that project are successfull or the price keep like at IEO price or above, in case IEO from Bittrex

Of couse that IEOs could turn out to a scam. There is no warranty that this can´t happen. But you can reduce the risk by choosing only IEOs on reputable exchanges - Bittrex and Binance.
