It obvious that we are moving towards an ear where everything is digital, and whether facebook is doing this and creating their own currency for the profit or just to try something new, it will be a deciding factor and its success or failure will shape the future of cryptocurrency overall and whether other will start adopting it or not, but i think that because of how facebook is well established and have so many users across all its platforms it might be the push that crypto has long awaited for.

I'm wondering why facebook developer chose to create a stablecoin? If that is the case, what commodity will be used to back facebook stablecoin? These are just some questions lkngering in my mind as of now especially where stablecoins are in hype. Can't wait to see the whitepaper.

It's going to be a utility token to the best of my understanding except they develop or deposit money in the bank or have some gold reserves to back it up.

I could not mention any effect yet, because the current price increase has nothing to do with the LIBRA coin announcement.  As soon as they begin to implement their solutions, there would be some changes but not now.
