not all altcoins experience a surge when ethereum experiences price increases, and when ethereum has very cheap prices as now some altcoins actually have price increases so ethereum doesn't have the key to all this and the most influential to all coins is bitcoin

If all other altcoins will continue to strive then it need Ether as a fuel. Hence the idea that any ERC 20 coin can surpass the performance of Ether is laughable since all Erc 20 Coin is a subset of Ether.

Yes, eth has significant impact in the world of crypto, but they are not the only one with great influence in the crypto market. Let us not forget bitcoin, it is still the basis of many other altcoins. When you talk about crypto, the first thing that someone asks is the current price of bitcoin. Have you ever met someone who first asks for the price of eth? |

For those who are complaining that altcoins is not surging well you guys overlook the fact that ETH should be on your watch
ETH owns erc20 all almost all altcoins still runs on erc20 ,what you don't remember is last bullrun when ETH hits 1000$plus that's when all altcoins surge is price , ETH is at 260$ now so don't expect any surge soon and pray that ETH returns to its glory day value and we will all smile.
Eth doesn't hold the key but rather Bitcoin but nonetheless we shouldn't overlook the fact that Eth is good catch on it's own. Have also observed that rise in Eth doesn't bring about rise in other altcoins but rise in Bitcoin does |

The reason for ethereum based token to rise in price when ethereum increases is due to the already placed buy orders against Ethereum.
Most of Ethereum tokens on centralized and decentralized exchange are traded paired with Ethereum. So, they increases in price simultaneously to some extent.

I think BTC, ETH and other top cryptocurrencies have price correlation to each other and that we need for them to attain real world use-cases and massive adoption in order achieve exponential growth! "No crypto is an island!" so to speak.  |

with the way bitcoin is staring to rise up again these day the altcoins out there are having another terrible week of getting dumped and losing their values against bitcoin as traders are cashing out of the altcoin market and once again going back to bitcoin. although the slow rise of bitcoin has opened up room for most of these altcoins to keep their price relatively close to what they had before they dumped.

there is no future that knows and might happen but we do not expect too high for fear of being disappointed if the price we are targeting is not in line with reality. Ethereum does have a good future, so it is very suitable to be an option to invest and moreover seeing the current market growth is quite good. |

I see Ethereum is still the leader of all Dapps who wants to bring their technology to the blockchain world. Every new project wants to join the ethereum platform and have it's token or coin ERC20 complaint.
Etherium is maintaining its second position. If everything goes well, I see the etherium price to $500 until December. For the long run, it may go again to $1500. At the moment, on dips, we need to accumulate more. Also, we always need to maintain our positions as long as possible. Since in many worst-case scenarios, ethereum has proved itself, I see a very good future for it with is coming upgrades.

Yes. For ERC20 tokens it really depends on the price of ETH, even though their exchange is not in ETH. Maybe there are already many who use the Ethereum platform, or smartcontract ETH, but only 2 tokens above the ETH price, namely ThoreCoin and Maker. So, if you want the price of the ERC20 Token to rise, please waiting for Ethereum to up.
Although ThoreCoin and Maker is priced above ETH but with the highest ETH volume with larger transactions per day, this is that ETH is able to top it up again by waiting for the right time. Yes. If we see in terms of volume, indeed ETH is higher. But if in terms of token prices, ThoreCoin and Maker is superior. Ethereum is sure one of the best altcoins so far. But it will takes time maybe a long time to make ethereum back to its glory in the past. We can see the down trends right now, and it seems quite far to make it great again.

The last few weeks has been good to all ethereum holders. Holders are getting almost twice of their holdings in April of this year. It seems surprising to me that the altcoins are not pushing as many were anticipating. Although ethereum continues rising in price, the altcoins keeps dropping.

Well for ethereum to hit ATH again its all on bitcoin ,if bitcoin can hit a new all time high like Jan 2018 then all altcoins will start surging in price ,remember that all altcoins start surging after bitcoin hits almost 20k in January 2018

And you ignore 1 thing, that altcoin is not only in the Ethereum network. Even the altcoins running under the Ethereum network have no effect on ETH prices. Like the ONE or BNB tokens some time ago, before the BNB had its own network. And all altcoins in my opinion influence the movement of bitcoin, so if you want an altcoin to go up then you should expect that bitcoin continues to grow. |
