Well, it might seem that even the Facebook team might have given up on the Libra project considering the fact that they have introduced Facebook Pay which is serving the purpose that Libra was supposed to serve in the Ecosystem but with Fiat instead of Libra's Cryptocurrencies, there are no places to purchase Libra at the moment unless you are so eager to give your hard earned money to scammers then you could probably get an "ERC-20 Libra".

I think Facebook and bitcoin will rival. Remember what happened when Facebook made a related announcement. Libra announcement made. Binance's owner reported some negative opinion. It's like there's a competition. With nothing.

I am determined to buy FB coin Libra even though it is not available yet. I hope it is available on exchanges where i can buy easily.
Will it be a threat to BTC and other altcoins? I am afraid that the prices of BTC and other altcoins will go down. It makes me hesitate to buy some currencies like TRX currently.
Will it be a threat to BTC? I think it's meant to be this way, will BTC be a threat to it? Do you know why people value BTC more than all coins? It's simple, all about decentralization and Privacy; this and many more is what Facebook coin can't offer to users. People are even complaining about Facebook data issues, imagine what will happen when it comes to its cryptocurrency. Nevertheless, no one knows the fate of that coin for now owing to underlying issues, whatever comes up, Bitcoin will retain its value. |

All of news about Libra coin is already exists in cryptocurrency even also whitepaper. I have a little doubt about whitepaper but Facebook cryptocurrency can't kill any others coin. Although many countries don't support Facebook Libra coin. Facebook cryptocurrency is for profits, for some fiat currency. I would suggest you to research on Libra coin.

I have heard that facebook will have a project so it's likely to say that many will be interested in the facebook crypto project and I'm sure many investors will invest in facebook ieo.
Most probably, people will surely get interested once Facebook have launch its crypto because of the popularity it have right now, surely people will be able to get the news that easy once it was already been released in the market and be available to purchase. I am pretty sure that people will support this making it somehow somewhat a phenomenal out break to be an outstanding project and well-known Altcoin because people's attention will get caught to know the features of the Facebook's cryptocurrency and once the feature satisfied the crowd, maybe we will never tell that it might be close to the rank of the top Altcoins and much be get close into the rank of Bitcoin when it comes to popularity, demand and as well as the more important thing the benefit in terms of price value. |

I think Libra coin is not a threat to Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. Maybe Libra coin will be a threat to the US Dollar and this is proven by the fear of the congress in terms of regulation about the Libra Coin because the US Dollar could be disrupted its dominance in world transactions |

Facebook's cryptocurrency project called Libra is not a direct threat to the cryptocurrency ecosystem and in fact might have the effect of bringing a lot more new investors into the industry as they discover what stablecoins and other assets can do and this should have a positive impact overall for all top ranked projects

I have a feeling that it'll be harder than what we are thinking for Libra to come into reality as there will be too many hurdles with the US government to get it working. Facebook's authenticity is not 100% right now so there is no reason to trust them now.

in my opinion if Facebook coins were available in this industry it would not have a big impact or influence on major coins like BTC. as we have seen many new or old coins that already exist in this industry have absolutely no effect on the price of BTC. so, I don't think you need to worry about BTC prices, maybe the presence of facebook coins will only have an impact on the adoption of new users and won't make the price of BTC go down.

My opinion is that if Facebook develops its own cryptocurrency, it will be very good since the audience is very large. A lot of users will learn about cryptocurrency and this will lead to the growth of the cryptocurrency market. I think that cryptocurrency from Facebook will be a reliable crypto asset. The main thing is that there would be legal regulation.
That's certainly true, mate. If Facebook's cryptocurrency becomes a reality, it might gain a greater advantage over its competitors. After all, the world's most popular social network has an extensive number of users. Libra could simply topple existing payment processors (like PayPal, Western Union, MoneyGram, etc.) as well as, centralized cryptocurrencies (like Ripple and Hashgraph) within the Blockchain industry. Being a stablecoin, will prove to be as useful as any ordinary Fiat currency would within the mainstream world. Governments have already noticed the impact Facebook's cryptocurrency will have within the mainstream world, which explains their stance against it. Facebook would need to comply with fierce regulations worldwide if it ever wants to launch its own digital currency for the world. Libra or not, the entire crypto space will continue to operate as usual. But I believe that Libra's launch within the mainstream world, will prove to be of great use to the entire Blockchain industry as it will increase its exposure among everyday people like never before. The mere fact that there's a lot of hype for Facebook's cryptocurrency, shows us how interested people are into it. If launched, then you could expect mass adoption of this stablecoin worldwide. All in all, it looks very likely that crypto (both government-issued and non-government-issued) will replace the existing financial system as we know it. Just my opinion  |

if you are seeing or updating about the latest news of libra and you will see a bunch news said that facebook has already shift to the facebook digital payment as a new option to get the acceptance from the regulators. Libra will never come true story as it's dead right now. We must not speculate about libra again. |

I also think so but for now we still can't say whether Libra coin will be a threat to Bitcoin or not because anything can happen in the near future. although Bitcoin is the parent of all Altcoin but I hope that Libra coin will not affect the price of Bitcoin. at this time we are still not can be sure whether in next year Libra coin will be launched or not. |

if you think so, then the decision to buy libra is the right decision because libra is planned to be a stable coin after listing later as a substitute for dollars in the digital world. while bitcoin and altcoin are very risky because their values fluctuate. |

I think that everyone would like this coin in their portfolio. And if it is a stable coin, then it will quickly move all the other stable coins, since Facebook is a big name and reputation, they will trust it.
although I'm not a fan of facebook, but they are great
