I'm planning to have NEO before but I don't think that my budget would be sufficient to generate that profit that I want. Staking coins requires such amounts if you want to make that much but if you're already good with the profit that you are taking, that's better to have nothing right?

Oh yea, there is another one that I saw on Coindesk some few months back and it was still a start-up, the name is Battle star. They claimed to be giving up to 30% annually to investors, though it can as well go as low as 5% depending on how things are that year. It was around March that I read about them, so it's up to three months now… I haven't tried them before and I don't know if there is anyone that has tried it out yet. But the 30% they have promised, if they are able to give as much as that, then it's going to be quite interesting working with them.

Staking coins needs an initial investment. Some teams "withdraw" that initial investment and either completely abandon the project, either slow down by a great deal.
I've done staking. Some coins gave nice returns especially in the early days. But sooner or later their value dropped without any chance for come back.

I've lost money, time and energy with all the staking coins.
The only coins that gave some returns were the one with good old PoW.

It doesn't matter if staking gives you some dollars if the overall price of your coins (used for staking) is dropping...

This is not true, they actually provide telecom services and it is available in certain countries and all the details about how they operate in on the site. Their subscribers are increasing and they do not promise a guaranteed income. i believe, both altcoins use proof of stake system and still have a lot of chance to break the past high

Ethereum starts to become staking coins in the future. Maybe there will be a lot of coins that follow ethereum but in my opinion the investment for the long term is mined coins because there are usually halving and hardfork

i think TELE or miracle tele token is not a staking coin, this is a tokens with dividend
so, if we hold TELE on our Tele account we will get a biweekly rewards

The Nothing-at-stake problem was never fixed. There's no real reason to trust PoS above PoW. Haven't seen a convincing paper that changes this notion even near 2020 and PoS coins have been out for ages.

Having said that I still consider a project like Stakenet to be worth of interest, however Bitcoin is getting increasingly ready to pretty much kill all altcoins under the top 10. It's time to go back to 80% market dominance.

Well, I'm a big fan of staking especially if it's not necessary to run a supernode before staking, that's free staking. Yes. Tele does get good support. Even Tele implemented a Buy Back system. So the price of the Tele token will not drop with the Buy Back system. As far as I follow the bounty, and the coins that I hold so far, no one has used the Buy Back system. You're lucky to have a lot of Tele coins. Mining is a different system. I don't think we can compare mining systems with hold. These are two different things. Mining is to increase the number of coins with a predetermined capital, and with certain tools. Mining gets coins from a unique number blend, not from a hold bonus. Mining affects total supply. Hold does not affect the total supply.

I don't really see any specific differences between minning coins and staking coins in relation to their profit potential and profit margin. Both usually have the same profit margin considering the rate at which new coins are generated by miners and stakers. It all goes down to how relevant the projects are and the significant of their crypto coins.

The fact that the value of said coin can go down, staking is not profitable when the value from your previous purchased went down. Even you received good numbers of staking rewards it's still not profitable if the price got dumped. The entry level to pos is much lower too. You can begin to stake at a decent rate for less then $100 you cant buy a miner for that now can you. Entry level miner is a few hundred for just one. You need more to diversify. You need $3000+ for a decent mining OP possibly $5000 with staking yu can get much weight for only $100-$500 it depends when you buy.

It's good for passive income but about the long term investment and it's a really big risk decision as the price of token can go down anytime and when this is happening and the owner's asset will be getting drained instantly. I'm more concern to the top projects offering staking algo but had survived like the EOS. There are more in the future like ETH I doubt this one will also end up to be dead. Its interesting to see how much will staking coins will also rise up since I planed to do it with the rest of the coins I got like ADA that recently launched their testnet for staking and this ADA like ETH is one of the top coins today.

I agree that if we see a high percentage, we need to think very well and study the project, but the high reward for stacking does not mean that the project is bad. The majority of people who are aiming to make money from staking just wanna earn the passive income from their coins. It's really different with the blockchain banking.
