finally, Nemanja Matic was in the United squad for the match against AZ Alkmaar. but it looks like he will just sit on the bench. I don't know what Solskjaer thinks, players like Matic are rarely given the chance to play. I hope today he is given the opportunity to play with Mctominay

Nemanja Matic's game slightly declined after he got injured at the start of the season. In fact he was a very good defensive midfielder. Maybe this is what made Solksjaer put him on United's bench. Matic is not suitable with the style carried by Solksjaer as MU manager. Hopefully he will be played in the European league against AZ

So many matches tonight playing at the same time, I put my hopes in Arsenal and Frankfurt.
Frankfurt won 2-1 in the first round and is now waiting for the second round and I hope to add more goals.

Hopefully Man Utd play over 2.5 tonight,  I expect them to show the zeal that they put Against Man city last week,  but the current squad is something one needs to look out for, 

I don't think there will be a major upset from the big  teams in Europa league, on the other hand Arsenal still playing a goaless draw in the second half

Who else here thinks we're good for a few upsets tonight? Time running out for many of those favourites. 4/1 odds a lot of them as I remember, Celtic for example. So they weren't really exciting for me unless I parlayed a couple of games, but I do like the chances of Feyenoord at over 8/1. Porto would normally strike fear into the hearts of men but these days they're a shadow of even their form last year. Then again, same I could say for Feyenoord... they've just crashed ever since winning the Erevedisie with Kuyt.

And then at the last 10 minutes everything changed!

Frankfurt 2-3 Vitoria
Standard liege 2-2 arsenal

Frankfurt nearly won't get qualified if arsenal didn't make that comeback, I think Frankfurt fans have to thank arsenal for doing that comeback to save their ass kicked out.

Partizan is already on 3:0 with Astana, but they lost their chances in last round, with conceiving two goals in last five minutes in Alkmaar, bad european performance for Belgrade team this season...

I do not know how possible it will be for Manchester United vs AZ to play over 2.5, it's a goaless draw now and it's halftime, the first half wasn't full of too much intensity, and you should not expect Manchester United to replicate their performance against City tonight, Derby games comes with its own spirit.

Two late goals was able to do the trick, Arsenal need to improve and start winning games.

Nice turn out of events during today's matchday fixtures. Manchester United completely thrashed AZ although AZ did qualify for the next round. Arsenal went on to draw standard liege... They're just happy their group teams. Just when I thought arsenal was back to winning ways.

Finally Europa league group stage ended. With all respect to teams playing there, it's just boring and finally more serious games will begin.
There is only few thing after all which can be called as surprise. Borussia M. didn't reached next stage, but I think it's not that bad for them - now they can focus on title race in Bundesliga.
Failure of PSV is unexpected. While Lazio and Feyenoord were quite pathetic.
While probably nobody didn't expected that LASK Linz and Basaksehir will win their groups.

@FlamingFingers I’ll second that when I saw the team, I thought Manchester United would be beaten by 2 or 3 goals but it’s a relief to see that they were able to win this match.

Greenwood is starting to shape up really well, and it’s only a matter of one or two season before he removes Martial or Rashford from the starting lineup and then play regularly for the club.

The draw is on Monday and not today so we will have to wait patiently, to find out which team will be facing our favourite clubs.
