I have seen Sri Lanka perform well in the last few series. Sri Lanka has won their home matches consistently. Sri Lankan players have also been in very good form. So I thought that the South Africa vs Sri Lanka match would be competitive. But Sri Lanka batted very badly. Sri Lankan batsmen were able to score only 42 runs.

There is no chance of Sri Lanka winning this match. South Africa was able to take a lead of 149 runs in the first innings. But they could not show good performance on the field. 

Since the Bangladesh team has gone to West Indies to play a full series, we have to look at the ODI series or the T20 series even if there is no good success in the Tests. But for now, Bangladesh should have the main plan for the second Test match.

Anyway, Bangladesh has one more opportunity. The second match will take place on Saturday at Sabina Park. But given their heavy margin of defeat in the first match, the morale will be down in the Bangladeshi camp. The only positive for them in the first match was excellent performance from Taskin Ahmed (picked up a total of 8 wickets in the match). Apart from him, there were no good performances from any of the other players. The main issue for them is that the spinners were completely defanged during the first match.

I think new Zealand were in a mood of taking his white wash series defeat against SiriLankan from his current opponent england because scoring more than 300 in a single day against england top batter is quite difficult but still they done it and now currently before the end of day 1 still they have thier set batter Phillips and his partner southee on crease so I quite sure they will goes above 350 if southee hold his wicket and rotate strike with Phillips and that Gona be a huge target for thier bowling lineup to defend as after matching they required england has to take a decent lead for them which look tough but not impossible so I will goes in favor of new Zealand to have won this match or may be things goes toward match draw.
