Third day was a day of  rain which resulted in only 33.1 overs being bowled and it was very difficult for India to handle the Australian bowlers especially with the great pace and bounce of Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins. India are still trailing by 265 runs and still have only 4 wickets in hand. I am not sure that this Test is going to end without a result as it has been raining all day and both the players are busy passing the time in and out of the field. There is a possibility of a draw in this situation and if India follow on, Australia will have to bowl better in the second innings and take all the wickets which may not be easy. If there is a high chance of rain in the last two days, the third Test is likely to be a draw. Brisbane pacers are getting a good advantage and the pitch is a bit wet, which will give the bowlers bounce and at the same time confuse the batsmen. And I think the last two days will be more difficult for the batsmen.

India did just a few good innings and rest the rain delays will help to draw this match. Even now the match is stopped because of rain. KL Rahul made 84 runs while Ravindra Jadeja  made 52 runs and is still playing.

Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins have taken two wickets each while other bolwers Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon also a wicket. I don’t see any situation where Australia can win this match from here. However they have really bowled well in this innings. It is only the rain that is saving India in this match else Australian bowlers are bowling their heart out.

Bruh I am done with Rohit, his heroics against Aussies in t20 wc were really exquisite but that taste is fading away and now I am finding his spot in this test series questionable.

Maybe Rohit should just resign from all the other formats and focus solely on ODI? He wants to play in the 2027 ODI World Cup. That is fine. But with current form, it will be very difficult to justify his place in the team in all the three formats. And it's not just Rohit Sharma, but Virat Kohli as well. Both of them need to retire from the test format. In case of Virat, he can focus on T20Is and IPL. A lot of promising young players are coming up, and Rohit/Virat should not block their pathway to the national team.

Looks quite possible. Just one more wicket remain in Indian first innings as they are at 222/9, and at the moment the two tailenders are batting - Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep. BTW, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins are bowling from the other end. India need another 24 runs to avoid the follow on. I don't think that they will get to that. India maybe asked to follow on (Australia can afford to do that, as Lyon will be bowling most of the overs in the last innings). But given the rain forecast, getting anything more than 50-60 overs tomorrow looks very unlikely.

Interesting stuff in the end to avoid the follow-on, the match was probably done for Indians otherwise. Surviving Starc and Cummins is no easy feat, yet my bois Bumrah and Akashdeep played gutsy! Akashdeep impressed me real good, with just this innings I would have him in next match, Siraj can sit.

England already won last two test matches and won the series already.  In the first Inngins of this match, New Zealand scored 347 runs which was a big amount of runs even from previous Matches where Tom Latham(63) and Mitchell Santner(76) did a half century each. Matthew Potts got four wickets each. But when it came to England turn, they did a poor score this time, 143 runs only where no player afford to score even a single half century. Apart from that, New Zealand team more dedicated as the result, they scored 453-10 runs which was another higher runs. Where Kane Williamson(156) Showed us a legendary century. And rest of players did well enough. Afterwards, second innings is ongoing, england did 187-5 runs yet. Jacob Bethell(74) did a decent amount of runs. England Still need 465 runs to surpass the Targeted runs given and i don't think English would afford this runs in such condition when they lost most of their batsmen. Now its time to see, how long English can survive in batting

But England will surely be happy in this Test series as they have managed to defeat New Zealand by a big margin in the first two Test matches.

New Zealand winning the last test in a dominating manner is just a consolation prize for them since then losing the first two tests so convincingly on their own turf and messing up their WTC final chances dented their confidence levels badly.

The stage is pretty much set for Australia vs South Africa WTC final next year if you ask me. Supporting the Proteas all the way.

At the moment it is difficult to imagine anyone else qualifying for the ICC World Test Championship final. These two were the best performers in this cycle and they deserve to be in the final. Also, they were the most consistent ones as well. Things were going well for India and moving in the right direction, until that catastrophic 0-3 series loss to New Zealand. No one saw that coming and that changed the entire picture. Surprises can happen even now, but I would say that at this point there is a 90% probability of a final between Australia and South Africa.

Talking about the Indian batsmen,. I think KL Rahul deserves the century because he played really good in the pressure. When all the big names of the Indian team were losing wickets, it was KL Rahul who stood there. However, he alone could not take the team out of trouble and he got no support from any other batsmen except Ravindra Jadeja.

Although the Australian team bowled well in this match, a few batsmen of the Indian team were able to bat patiently, otherwise they would have been all out long ago. Thanks to these two batsmen, Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul, the Indian team has been able to reach 252 runs so far, and all the other batsmen have not done well. Most of the batsmen have been out for a short run, however, India may not win this match because it is not possible for them to meet the target given by Australia. Moreover, since the Indian team has only one wicket left at the moment, they will be all out and I think they may be all out early tomorrow.

Yup, I agree that after taking all the England team wickets at 234 runs they also made a good game but they do not have consistency in the team and they need to focus on it.

It will be interesting especially when India are desperately trying to avoid the follow-on with one wicket after the other. 10&11 finally managed to avoid the follow-on.
Now it can certainly be said that this match has 90% chance of a draw especially if India could not avoid the follow on then maybe Australia would have bowled India out very quickly tomorrow in the second innings and they would have tried to win in T20 style batting. But that won't be possible because if Australia starts the second innings tomorrow and tries to give India a big run target then it might be necessary to play a session in which case India can definitely bat till 60 overs in two innings then there is no possibility of India getting all out i.e. The match will be a draw.

India situation today is very bad in today match because they have already lost 9 wickets in which they have scored only 252 runs. Australia bowling in today match saw a storm of pace which resulted in pat cummins and strc showing their best bowling performance. pat cummins got 4 wickets and strac 3 wickets. But i want to thank my favorite player head for giving me such a match. I always admire head batting skills but today i really got his results once again.

The sight of disappointment was clearly seen on the face of Australian players when they failed to take the last wicket. I saw that, when Akash Deep hit the boundary to avoid follow-on, the Indian dressing room was delighted with joy. My real concern is that a strong team like India is now happy and trying for draws instead of wins. They need to seriously look at the players regarding their bad performances. Moreover, Gambhir needs to be held responsible here along with the batting coach. Gambhir demanded all the changes in staff and coaches and still was not able to give the required performance from the team. With this draw, the chances of the Indian team playing in the WTC final are decreasing.

After serving 16 years and have 107 test matches under his belt today we have another gentleman of cricket leave this game and now part of history as New Zealand won third test by huge margin against England at Hamilton and says goodbye to Tim Southee which was surely one of the best end of career to him.



In third match, we have target of 659, but England bundled out on 234 which give consolation win to New Zealand which was having the worst time after beating India in India but lost important test series against England with the score of 1–2 Mitchell Santner score 125 runs and took 7 wickets as he was man of the match and Harry Brook took man of the series award after having 350 runs in three matches.
