I don't understand what South Africans are fearing. They have a huge lead of 515 runs and they are gone for a tea break without declaring. The first innings was a disaster for Sri Lanka. But the South Africans also did not play that well. They only scored 191 for all out. Probably they are thinking that Sri Lanka may fight back in the 2nd innings. Guys, you are playing in your country and you guys should have some confidence.

I feel like the South Africans already scored enough runs to declare the innings. But it seems like they are going to play a little more.

Sri Lanka are under pressure after losing wickets early on and if Sri Lanka lose more wickets today then there is a possibility that Sri Lanka will be all out on the fourth day. With about 25 overs left to play on the third day today, Sri Lanka must finish the day with a wicket intact.

I think New Zealand is also trying their best. I know according to the situation, England is winning as they almost chased the score and tomorrow they will convert the runs into lead but I think from somewhere New Zealand is still not out of this match. I am really impressed by the performance of South Africa against Sri Lanka. I am especially impressed by Temba Bavuma's performance. Temba Bavuma is a talented player, we have to admit that. But his off-form forced him to be a victim of trawlers. After a long time, seeing Temba Bavuma playing comfortably is making me more attracted to the game. He scored a total of 183 runs in 2 innings, which gives a notice of his return to form.

As a team, South Africa is performing exceptionally well, I see a 99.99% chance of South Africa winning the first Test match against Sri Lanka. Yeh they can easily bat throughout the third day but I think it will reduce thier chances of win and match will goes in favor of draw so that's why the prefer innings declare before things goes out of thier hand. also south African believe on thier pacer to have easily defend their target, Also we have seen  SiriLankan batting order collapse in previous innings against the single bowler janson who really put them in huge trouble.
