In the first innings, Australia got out easily by the great bowling effort of Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes and the other such bowlers that contribute in wickets or in making pressure but then in the second innings, England did not have progress but Australia had, Travis Head in the first innings with only 21 runs but this time he is with 123 runs and he also came as the opener while last time he came at the 5th number and I think this opening number would be great for him and in the next game he should open the game.

Aussies were given a target of 205 runs to win and the way wickets were falling in first test, it looks clear that Aussies won't be able to win the game. But when Aussies came to bat in second innings, they played with confidence and scored runs quite easily. Travis Head showed aggression and played an innings of 123 runs on just 83 balls. Mitchell Starc was man of the match for picking 10 wickets. Aussies played a bazball cricket in their second innings which was the reason why English bowlers were not able to pick wickets.   

Travis head is a one man Army because he always give hundred percent to win the match. He played with strike rate of 148 runs in this match which was brilliant in this match because we saw a strike rate of that kind in T20 and he made test match into T20 . He hit 4 sixes and 16 fours in this match and Labuschagne made half century in this match and played with strike rate of 104 and he was looking he is playing a ODI match and they chased the target in second day and 3 days were remaining of this match.No player from England team took responsibility of this match and that was the reason they could not give good target in this match as we know that Ben Stokes is excellent player and he could not do well in this match.

In this second test match, the ground has been changed and it's seems that this ground  is not that much harder for the batting like we saw the in the previous match on Eden Gardens. So think because of batting friendly pitch the south African team are able to do a good score on their first innings.
In the mean time I also think that Indian team also do a good batting performance in this match so this match is not going to be easier like the previous one. Although we saw both team struggling with their batting performance in the previous one.

Yeh compared to eden Garden it's much more easy to pick track and that's why proteas has done phenomenal at thier very first inning, despite having some minior small knock from thier top order and some middle order African tail ender like Muthusamy and Jansen almost scored 200 partnership which really put proteas ahead and really surprising for rest of us, now it's totally depends on indian how they utilize next day as well as condition, because thier innings can be turn game changing for them either it will put alot on pressure on proteas at thier second innings to set target for India or may be a relief moments to divert results once again in thier favor, that would be truly terrible for Indian .

India has to bat very well to get almost same score as South Africa, to put pressure on South Africa in their second innings, otherwise, in case India does not bat well, game will be almost over by end of Day 2, and South Africa will win easily.

It's a red soil pitch and it detoriates as match progress and become tough in 4th-5th day so I'd be surprised if this match goes to draw result. Bad light could be a potential reason and this is also first ever international test in this stadium so jury is out.

Proteas' are in strong position, worry sign for India if they cross 425 ish mark. Only relief is they are scoring slowly so there is a false sense of control on scorecard.

No one will cry if Gambhir is out but then audience will have to suffer his voice on comms.

Don't think it will detoriates that much as ranji record suggests it to be a batting friendly overall & batting slow is actually tactical from SA , they trying to take their loss out of equation ..india have to chase a win , Africa will be happy with a series win & taking 16 points out 24 in an tough away tour.

Guess we don't have to worry about the results here, india is on mission to force it within 4 day.

Also, someone should think about fixed venue system, you can't have 50 different venue for every test match at home, fans ke liye home conditions hoti hai bas but players ke liye nahi.

Although England played very well on the first day and their bowling performance was also quite good. Australia did not bat very well in the first innings and they batted very badly. But Australia still won this match only because their batsmen batted well and they batted exceptionally well which is why they won the first match. However, England's second innings was not good at all and they lost this match due to their weakness, but they must be ready for the next match. If England plays well in the next match against Australia and improves their game, then the series will definitely be leveled.

Because for me he is epitome of what's wrong with this indian team , too much Cockiness but no substance to back it up..his coaching tenure reminds me of Chappel Era ..when you decides to become main protagonist of the story , you will get blame for everything.

Didn't Srafaraz scored the only 100 in Nz series for India, made him scapegoat of the whitewash & Sanju was going great as opener in T20s but gauti decided nah where is my boy Gill , he needs to be in the team & decided to screw Sanju & the balance of team to include him.No body is blaming him for performace of player , but his tactical stupidty & the kind of enviroment he has created ..didn't you listened to the press conference where his staff member(Batting Coach) thrown whole team under the bus just before this test match.

I was huge Gauti fan & still believe he wasn't given credit where it was due , what he done for us in those two Wc Finals was brilliant but after seeing him first as commentator & now as coach i started to get it why he was never given the key to power centre of Indian Cricket during his playing days ..dude has ego of the level of Mount Everest and don't course correct even when people are telling him , you can't have coach who behave like this.

He should go back to being in politics as he was actually doing good as MP of East Delhi .

Has anyone checked the scoreboard of the second Test match between India and South Africa? I was very surprised to see the scoreboard.

South Africa managed to score a huge 489 runs in the first innings. I thought India would also score 400+. The pitch seemed to be batting friendly. But the batting of the Indian batsmen was very bad. India lost their seventh wicket for just 122 runs. The Indian top order collapsed badly. Only opener Jaiswal managed to play an innings of 58 runs. Such a poor batting by the Indian batsmen at home ground was not expected at all. India is still behind South Africa by a huge margin of 330 runs.

Senuran Muthusamy 89 runs innings against Pakistan in second test (10-23 Oct 2025) was turning point of the match that helped South Africa in winning the test and levelling the series. Now Senuran Muthusamy has scored his maiden test hundred against India and this time it's Marco Jansen who gave him company from other end. India struggling badly at the moment and they need someone like Senuran Muthusamy and Marco Jansen from lower order to score runs and rescue India. Marco Jansen after scoring 93 runs with bat is now doing magic with bowl, he has picked 4 wickets.

They have already lost seven wickets to the South African bowlers and their current score is only 194. I think that from this situation, the Indian team can score at most 250 or 300 runs. But it will not be possible to go up to 400 runs with the remaining three wickets. So in the first innings, the Indian team is behind the South African team.

I agree with you on this point that Bangladesh team has a history of losing agaisnt the weak team, but we have seen some improvement in the Bangladesh team especially in the T20 performance, which we saw in the West Indies series, and also in the Afghanistan series, that the Bangladesh team has improved in the T20 format. So for that I am expecting that the T20 series of the Bangladesh team with the Ireland team will go well.

South Africa will probably give a target of around 450. South africa will probably declare their innings by batting in the first session of the next day. India has no  chance of winning this match. India will probably try to draw the match by batting well in the second innings. But after batting so badly in the first innings , it will be very difficult for India to draw the match.

Bangladesh vs Ireland .

Before the start of this series, everyone thought that Bangladesh would win the series, because this series was in Bangladesh's home ground and Bangladesh is a stronger team than Ireland. However, Bangladesh won both the Tests by a big margin which is very commendable. Honestly, I have seen Bangladesh's opening batsmen perform well after a long time. However, Bangladesh's batting and bowling have both been good in this series, due to which they have been able to defeat Ireland easily. But I was surprised to see this, Bangladesh scored a huge score on the Mirpur pitch and Ireland's batsmen also did well. However, now Bangladesh has to prepare for the T20 series, hopefully Bangladesh will win the T20 series as well.

Bangladesh vs Ireland Test series Bangladesh team has really performed exceptionally Bangladesh batsmen batted very responsibly and Bangladesh bowlers bowled very responsibly due to which Bangladesh team won the Test match against Ireland by a huge margin. Before the start of the Test match I thought that Bangladesh will definitely do well against Ireland but their performance was really appreciated. If Bangladesh can maintain their performance like this then they will do well against big teams. Bangladesh team should bat responsibly then they will play well against any opponent country. Bangladesh team will play T20 series against Ireland. Of course there will be good wishes for Bangladesh team so that they can win the T20 series by performing responsibly against Ireland in the T20 series.

England International test cricket team has great players as they have great Ben Stokes And Mark Wood And there are many players who are part of the team and after that team could not perform well in this match and Travis was dominant person in this match because he made century in this match and played like he is playing T20 match And end the 5 day match in 2 days . All people are surprised to see that kind of aggressive batting because we didn't see that kind of batting when team is playing against top team . Mark Wood is top class bowler and he could not perform well in this match and took no wicket in this match. In the first inning, performance of Australia team was very bad but after they handled the situation.

The performance of the Indian batsmen was very disappointing. Despite having a lot of experienced batsmen in the squad, they could not bat well against the South African bowlers. Except for Jaiswal's 58 runs and Washington Sundar's 48 runs, no other batsman could do well. Marco Jansen was able to take 6 wickets and Harmer took 3 wickets.

You are right that India will try to draw the match. But even drawing this match will be very difficult for the Indian batsmen. India is likely to lose the match. If India can somehow draw the match, then undoubtedly they are very lucky.

Sai at no.3 is not working, even though he got extraordinary numbers in the domestic matches he continues to fail at the given chance, another Karun Nair? And rest of the batting also failed terribly so can't point fingers towards one player though.

Grinding from Kuldeep and Washington keep rocking as always even if he tossed around to different spots.

Even if India managed to take SA all out for 120 still 400 is far from reach, so what they will be doing is forcing for a draw.
