The way Afghanistan are batting and Afghanistan have scored 211 runs for the loss of four wickets, I think Afghanistan will eventually give up the lead. After the first-innings scorecard of Bangladesh, I don't think Afghanistan is the favorite to win the Test match. The Bangladeshi batsmen batting performance is wonderfull; three of them scored half-centuries and reached a team total of 300-plus in the first innings. Afghanistan bowlers tried their best to restrict Bangladesh to under 300 runs; Mohammad Saleem bowled an impressive spell picking up 4 important wickets. The Afghan batters have also performed well so far; at the end of Day 2, they have lost 4 wickets for 211 runs and still trail by 135 more runs. Rahmat Shah is playing with full responsibility scoring a fifty and still at the crease after adding 84 runs to the team total. I hope Rahmat Shah will complete their century tomorrow in the first session of day three, while Bangladesh needs this breakthrough to bowl out Afghanistan as early as possible

Day two also remains in the favour of Bangladesh because after the second session the start bowling and at the end of the day they successful to get four wickets. So the current situation between both teams is almost fifty because, at the end of day two, Afghanistan had six wickets in hand. Their captain played a good knock of eighty-four runs and was still at the wicket, and they have just about a thirty-run lead, so the third day remains very important for both teams. If Bangladesh gets wickets early and then gives a good target till the mid of day four then they have one and a half days to get ten wickets from Afghanistan and have a solid chance of winning. And the same for Afghanistan. If they don't lose wickets and give a trail of almost fifty runs, then they have a good edge at winning the game.

As for Asian pitches here fast bowling is not working as the spinners work because the pitches are dry and after the usage of two to three days, it becomes difficult to play against spinners. According to me, there are high chances of Bangladesh winning this game and a fifty to seventy percent chance of a declaration in this game.

Australians have done that so many times in the past and its not a surprising thing. The beauty of Australian batting is that someone takes the responsibility in case others were not able to score. Matt Renshaw was given good support by Cummins and Lyon. Now Proteas batting have to score at least 390 runs in first innings and that too against full strength Australian bowling. Australians have strengthen their position in test match and South Africa need to bat well in order to stay in the game.

Afghanistan vs. Bangladesh: After the first two days of play, it's going to be nothing special from both sides because the pitch is not helping, and bowlers and batsmen are doing good jobs, but now if Afghanistan is able to have a big inning from their captain, Rahmat Shah, it's going to be interesting because they have a chance of taking control from here, but they need good runs on board.
The current partnership is 72 runs, but they need more runs. Mehdi Hasan, Miraz, and Tajul can create problems for them, but they play them with patience. It's going to be good for them. Bangladeshi batting has a good start, but they collapsed because I was expecting 400+.

Australians have done that so many times in the past and its not a surprising thing. The beauty of Australian batting is that someone takes the responsibility in case others were not able to score. Such a remarkable comeback is not new for Australia, such comebacks are often seen from them. In cricket, Australia never loses before losing, they proved it in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Their defeat against Afghanistan was almost certain and their exit from the World Cup too. But what happened in the end! They won that match and they won the World Cup too.

I am not surprised at all by their comeback today, there is no point in blaming the Protea bowlers here, rather it is the credit of Matt Renshaw and his team. To survive in the match, South Africa will have to score at least 330+ runs in the first innings. Then in the second innings, the Australian batters will have to be restricted to a low score.

I just checked the scorecard and it is 92 balls, and this is not the first time he did that.

Renshaw the name is so unfamiliar to me, and also very young Test career but pulled out a classic test innings just as Pujara, facing 400 balls is not possible for everyone which is too in Durban not on a flatish wicket.

This stunned me too to be honest. They were doing so well until a single batsman flipped the game completely on its head out of nowhere. Jansen, Mulder and Nortje bowled well, but they definitely missed Rabada who could have sealed the deal way earlier.

Heck, Ngidi could have done it too. Am expecting this one to end as a draw now. Also, just found out that Cummins as referred to as 7/11 by some of his team members since he can bat at 7 and 11 effectively.

Interestingly, the fast bowlers have got an extra advantage in this Test so far. Because the fast bowlers of Bangladesh have collected 9 wickets. On the other hand, the fast bowlers of Afghanistan have also got an extra advantage. Among the spin bowlers of Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz has taken only 1 wicket, while the main spin bowler of Bangladesh, Taijul Islam, has 0 wickets. In my opinion, if Shariful Islam had been kept in the eleven instead of Nayeem Hasan, Afghanistan might have been all out earlier. However, it seems that the spin bowlers of both the teams can get an advantage in the 2nd innings.

Rahmat Shah fought alone but there was no one to support him, Afghanistan's lower order collapsed for 0, this is the reason for their quick all out.

It was a royal mess-up by the South African bowlers and an astonishing batting display by Renshaw. After making his Test debut back in 2016, this is definitely one of the best knocks of his career. This year alone, he has played an incredible innings in a T20 against Bangladesh to win the match for Australia, and did the same against Zimbabwe in an ODI, scoring a century when they were struggling to secure the win.

If you look at Shah, no one fought with his teammate, but Malik worked hard and scored 67 runs, except for him, everyone left him, that's why AFGHANISTAN could only score 240 runs in the match, otherwise they could have scored it till the end. His other friends should have scored with him, only then the team contributes, the entire team consisting of just one batsman is not targeted. He has taken 5 wickets in this game, which was an encouragement for his team and this was another big achievement for BANGLADESH, which they are making day by day. Hossain should also be put with him, he has also taken 4 wickets, the hard work of both of them destroyed the border of AFGHANISTAN. That's why AFGHANISTAN could only score 240 runs and could not go ahead of him and this is how it died.

To be honest, I have to retract my comment yesterday because I thought that Bangladesh would not be able to gain much advantage in this match after seeing Bangladesh's performance yesterday. However, the way Bangladesh bowlers bowled and dismissed the remaining Afghanistan batsmen within a short span of time at the beginning of the third day, I see the possibility of Bangladesh winning. What a great speech by Hasan Mahmud and the hat-trick. This was probably the first hat-trick by any fast bowler from South Asia in any Test.
Later, Bangladesh batted and took a lead of over 300 runs, I do not think it will be possible for Afghanistan to win the match by collecting over 300 runs in the second innings. I will put Bangladesh ahead in terms of winning at the moment.

The moment Afghanistan announced a squad without their ace bowler Rashid Khan, I wasn't expecting anything different. Bangladesh has been performing exceptionally well in the Test format, recently defeating Pakistan on their home soil. With the form they are in, they could easily defeat an Afghanistan side lacking the services of Rashid Khan.

At the moment, Bangladesh holds a healthy lead of 329 runs, which is more than enough to defend over the final two days. Bangladesh will look to score as many as possible tomorrow to set an improbable total for Afghanistan. Unless the weather interrupts, they should easily win this match.

On day three, he got his fifer, so Afghanistan completed their first innings by under fifty runs. After giving the best performances in bowling, they remained the best in batting, especially Najmul Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored eighty-plus runs and at the end of day three, Bangladesh lost six wickets but had a strong lead of 329 runs. Which is enough for Bangladesh to survive for two remaining days.
