Because definitely a bad performance from Afghanistan. They were not even able to play out 20 overs let alone 50. They were not able to form any meaningful partnerships. And it is definitely hard to do when you do not have even a single 20+ score. So it was very easy for Pakistan to win the match.

Even this is not good performance from the Afghanistan but I have been still feeling it's not embarrassing because we all know they are good and under development in difficult circumstances with their batting is never been good against quality bowling even their spin bowling is giving them good chances to win matches but in this match at one stage I was feeling today they can win but sadly their selection of shots was not good with Pakistani fielding was also good which helps them for defending target like this.

OK.. so many posts about Afghanistan getting blasted out for just 59 runs, but I would rather argue that it was a rare occasion where all of the Afghan batsmen failed. Batting is their weakness, but getting out for two digit score was just extreme. And all this came after an exceptionally well bowling performance where they managed to bowl out Pakistan (full-strength squad with top batsmen such as Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan) for just 201 runs. At one point Pakistan was 112/5, and then made a slight recovery.

Your intention might be giving afghans some benefit of doubt, which is fair argument.

But at the same it also implies that pitch was favoring the bowlers and overall there was no contest between bat n ball, even if we consider 200 runs on the scoreboard in the first inning.

I don't think the performance of Afghanistan batsmen will be that bad. The target was not very big. They were not under too much pressure. Afghanistan's batsmen should have tried to stay at the crease. They batted like fools.

In reality Afghanistan hasn't a bad batting lineup like what kind of performance we have seen in first ODI match but for that performance credit goes to Pakistani quality fast bowler who hold them for at low score and took important wickets too quickly through his quality bowling, I think it's a clear indication for entire Asian team that how well they are prepared for upcoming event like Asia cup and World cup. I am quite sure that in current time frame no one big team has a quality bowling trio like that which has ability to bang any big team batting lineup, so it's will be a huge challenge for any team during world cup. Let just hope that no one suffered injury..

I also thought that this is not going to be a big problem for Afghanistan because the target was not very big. I thought Afghanistan might actually be able to win the match. But what Afghanistan did was really unbelievable. They got all out for only 59. They were not even able to play 20 overs. Not even a single player was able to get to even 20 runs individuality. It is definitely not a good performance from Afghanistan. I hope they will be able to perform better in the next match because if they are going to perform like this, they are definitely not going to win. The bowling lineup is good, but the batting was absolutely horrible.
