IMO, Scotland deserved to qualify, but then they got whatever shit that was warranted after bowling like schoolboys in the last 7-8 overs. Captaincy was extremely poor and Richie Berrington persisted with spinners (Mark Watt) despite Bas de Leede hitting him all over the park. And their best bowler was called in only when Netherlands needed just 2 runs to win. Chris Sole ended up bowling just 7 overs. This is retarded shit from the Scotland captain. He is the main reason why Scotland failed to qualify for the world cup. I just hope that Scotland will find someone who is in his right mental balance as the captain.

BTW, I was watching the match live in Hotstar. Peak viewership in Indian market was 92K, which is not bad for a match between two associate nations.

IMO, Scotland was the better team by a good distance. They lost only because of poor captaincy. First of all, they should have easily made 300 batting first. However in the last 6 overs they could make only 43 runs, at 7 runs per over. Tomas Mackintosh was scoring quick runs, but he got no support from the other end. If they had made another 20-25 runs (which they should have done), then Netherlands would have never qualified for the world cup. And while bowling, the retarded Richie Berrington refused to give a second spell to Chris Sole. If you make these sort of retarded decisions, then you don't deserve to qualify for the world cup.

Myself was one among the 92k, and it was really bad captaincy. As Netherlands need to win within the 44 overs, Berrington should've brought Sole, Sharif or Leask as they need few more overs to be driven forward. If that had happened even the win could've happened with a net runrate down to Scotland. Complete mistake from the Scotland team, that they never took it big. They were more confident and de Leede made use of it. Even in the bowling side his contribution in today's match is really big to win the player of the match.

Scotland had a great chance of making it to the main stage of the World Cup but fell short in the end. Scotland was eliminated from the World Cup qualifiers due to a slight lag in net run rate. A four-wicket win against Scotland in the last match saw the Netherlands reach the main stage of the World Cup. But qualifying for the main stage was much easier for Scotland. But they didn't finish well in the end.  Scotland scored 277 for 9 in the first innings, but the Netherlands later managed to achieve this target in just 42 overs with four wickets in hand, making them the second team behind Sri Lanka to reach the main stage of the World Cup in terms of net run rate. Congratulations to the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Hopefully these two teams will perform better in the main phase of the World Cup.

Match that was into the hands of USA just changed once after the wicket fall of Gajanand Singh scoring 69 runs from 44 balls and Aaron Jones at 75 runs were the reason for the loss. Even after that things went closer as Nisarg Patel maintained the required runs. Two runs required from the last ball to win and the last ball ended with the wicket. The 1 run difference is not that big, however it is a win for UAE. These teams playing more and more matches will make the teams be a competing one in the future.

This was just a 9th place playoff match but the match was a high scoring thriller where both teams scored above 300 runs and in the end United Arab Emirates just won by a single run. Nothing to choose between the two teams but I am sure if both countries focus more on cricket, they could be strong teams by the next world cup in 2027.

In the other super six match, the Netherlands beat Scotland and they now stand in the 2nd position in the super six for the world cup qualifiers. Unexpectedly Zimbabwe is at 4 at the moment but these three teams have the same points, that is 6 each.

UAE openers have scored good runs, Aryansh Sharma 57 runs and Asif Khan 151* runs is exceptional. The team have performed well and able to score 300+ runs. USA need to start scoring better at the earliest to keep its winning hope alive.

In the other match between Netherlands and Scotland we can't come to a conclusion on the winner of the match. Both the teams were in similar position. For Scotland McMullen have scored a century. Netherlands have lost consecutive wickets, but they hadn't let the scoring go down. Netherlands requires another 85 runs in 84 balls with Bas de Leede (63* runs) and Saqib Zulfiqar (12* runs) on the crease.

Uae vs USA match was really interesting, and it had the most interesting and probably the closest finish in this tournament. UAE was able to win this match by one run. In the end, USA was actually struggling. I remember that the USA team needed more than 8.5 runs per over. They did a good job, trying to change the car again, but in the end it one actually impossible for them by their finest of margins. Great match with a great finish. Jahangir and Gajanand took the match really close.

I think the associate countries are showing good performance in this tournament, and ICC should actually give proper funding to them and also increase the number of teams in the World Cup.

After giving UAE a target of 309 runs, I thought UAE would win unchallenged. But the USA players did a great job. USA's performance surprised me a lot. USA batsmen have collected 307 runs. They were defeated by only 1 run. USA batsmen Gajanand Singh and Shayan Jahangir performed well. However, UAE batsman Asif Khan was able to play an unbeaten innings of 151 runs. It was probably UAE's first win. They played very well.

Whatever might be the scenario it is really bad to score 169/9 against Afghanistan team. Also it is the home ground, which means the home team should be good enough to play any condition in the ground. Bangladesh team have completely failed, atleast they could've scored 200+ runs. Towhid Hridoy stood wicket and scored at the right time, if not the match would've gone even worse. Rain had favoured Afghanistan, but the Afghanistan team is really good with their performance. More two matches left, which could still be a series winning opportunity for Bangladesh. Afghanistan lacks experience, but this time they performed really well without getting into hard hitting plans.

There was common view about Bangladesh they are good in white-ball format but after watching their performance in first ODI against Afghanistan now things looking not good because all batting line-up completely fail to give any positive sign and bundled out of the score of 169 which is surely not good just Towhid Hridoy who was playing his seventh ODI done some resistance and bring his team at the score of 169 otherwise things were looking they will not reach to three figures as full strength bowling attack from Afghanistan was dominating the match. In Afghan inning, we have rain interruption which keeps things more problematic for the home-side, and they lost this match by 17 runs due to DLS method.

Bangladesh played yesterday's ODI match very badly.  And they made a total of just 169 runs and gave Afghanistan a target of such a score.  However, due to rain in the middle of the game, Afghanistan won the match on DLS method. It would have been difficult for Afghanistan to win the match had the DLS Method Day match not ended. Afghanistan could have won the match if not for the DLS method but it would have been very difficult for them. this is not the first time for Bangladesh as they have been seen losing easy matches many times before

Yes losing this match is sad for Bangladesh team. What is even more painful is that after the Bangladesh cricket team was defeated in this match. Unexpectedly, Bangladesh ODI team captain Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement. The main reason for Tamim Iqbal's sudden retirement is not yet known. However, as far as it is known from the mouth of this captain, the family plan about retirement has been made long ago.  But I think the retirement of this captain from the international arena is likely to lead to a huge collapse of the Bangladesh cricket team. It is a great achievement for United Arab Emirates to find a good batsman like him. The United States, on the other hand, cannot forget the 1-run defeat.

Scotland scores a decent total and it was not easy to chase but Netherland batsmen played very well especially Bas de Leede which performance was fantastic today and everybody enjoyed his style of batting. He score in the match where Netherland much needed this. regret for Scotland whom performance was also not bad through out in qualifying matches. Hope they will become stronger with this tournament.

On the other side USA vs UAE match was also really interesting and I was not expecting too much from USA but they was very close to win this match and what a bad moment for USA in the last ball. USA deserve to win this match but unfortunately they lost just by 1 runs.

If these players get proper support then they will become more experienced. And we'll see more great gameplay from Team USA in the future.
