Pakistan vs Afghanistan

As all know that the the series between these two started on 21st August and now they will play the 2nd match today. And in the first match Pakistan performance was excellent specially Haris Rauf bowling was excellent. Let's see in today match what he will do and the other players. I hope Pakistan will win this match too.

LOL.. given how inconsistent Pakistan is, I won't be surprised if they lose this match. Don't forget that during the last match they struggled to get to 200. And this was despite a lot of their star batsmen being present, including Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman. Afghan spinners are in great form at this point and last time the spin triad shared 7 wickets between them (Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan). Pakistani batsmen need to devise a good strategy on how to face them, or else they are going to be in big trouble.

Yes, Afghanistan is showing very professional game in 2nd ODI against Pakistan. Can't imagine they are batting 24 overs without losing a wicket and the runs aren't too bad. If they can perform like this then I don't know what they will do against Pakistan but they will have a good chance in the Asia Cup. But the main thing is the consistency of their performance. If they maintain this consistency then they will have a very good chance of winning one match in this series and they can have a good position in the Asia Cup as well.

Afghanistan really on fire today. Both openers have completely destroyed the Pakistani bowling lineup. Rahmanullah Gurbaz just scored a hundred while Ibrahim Zadran is not out on 74 runs. This scoreline might look good, considering the Afghans were up against a quality bowling lineup but IMO they wasted a good start and they had a chance to touch a 320-ish target.

So, not sure if it's a winning score and it shouldn't be too tough for Pakistan. Unless the spin trio comes to the rescue again.

After being bowled out for 59 runs against Pakistan, Afghanistan managed to score 300 runs in fifty overs against Pakistan in the second ODI match. The opening pair scored 227 runs out of 300 runs. This is Afghanistan's second highest opening partnership in ODI cricket. Chasing 300 against a team like Afghanistan will be a tough task for Pakistan as Afghanistan's bowling line-up is very strong. After the end of the first match we discussed that Afghanistan need to improve their batting very quickly and have a different batting plan. After performing so badly in the first match, I would have never understood that Afghanistan can make a comeback like this in the second match if I had not seen this innings of Afghanistan against Pakistan.
