After England lost the T20 series against India, now the ODI series has started.  In which England are performing quite well this time England can be expected but we should not underestimate the strength of India because they can control England at any time.  England have won the toss and decided to bat first, which they are doing well, their batsmen have 50 overs, if they save wickets and score more runs, it will be their advantage.  Their batsmen have scored 100 runs in 15 overs and conceded 3 wickets to India who are still playing.  If they play the whole innings like this, they can give a target of around 300 which will be strong for India and England will also play hard and well bowling which will benefit them a lot.  England can be strong for India this time but for that they have to good performance which they are doing slowly.

Right now England have scored 236 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 45 overs. But looking at England's performance, it seems that they can score a maximum of 260 to 280 runs today. Right now England have 2 wickets in hand and there are 5 overs left. Meanwhile, if England can give India a target of 280 runs, then I think their first ODI match will be very exciting. For today's match, I will not make any prediction in favor of any team because both the teams are quite strong. Singapore team set a record total runs for 171 runs and lost the match. Hong Kong chased down a record total runs 175 and wom the match easily. Hong Kong won game  by 7 wickets and 80 balls. The 16th match between Hong Kong and Songapore was played at Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok. Hong Kong won the toss and elected to field first. Anshy Rath  very talented player  for Hong Kong . The best batting performance in the Hong Kong was by Anshy Rath scored 90 runs and 116 balls hitting 11 fours and 1 sixs. Congratulations to Hong Kong for their upcoming matches.

But what surprised me is that today Harshit Rana got the wickets of Liam Livingstone, Ben Duckett and Harry Brook. In flat Indian pitches, if England batsmen can't play against fringe Indian pacers, then how we can expect them to win matches? And let's not forget that Champions Trophy is just a couple of weeks away. And the pitches in Pakistan will be very similar to those in India.

Despite having good start England completely fail to give India a good total and bundled out on 248 in 47.4 overs Harshit Rana punished in early overs but done good comeback and took 3 wickets Ravindra Jadeja on fire and have good stuff with economical bowling also took 3 wickets.

I disagree. BGT is prestigious bilateral series on it's own and it was important anyhow in context of WTC final as well.

Harshit Rana should also focus being an economical bowler beside taking wickets. He did pretty good in his second over by bringing variations in the bowling length, where the next over was a disaster. England was doing too good in the match until the run out of Philip Salt. Judging from the current performance of England team, they won't be able to qualify for the semi-finals from their group.

India always strong on there home ground like Australia and you need to perform exceptionally well in India to beat India. I didn't get the chance to see the match so have no idea about this pitch but overall wickets in India are usually flat and it's easy to score runs there. It's surprising to see England bowled out in 48th over for just 248, both spinners and pacers were getting equal success when England was batting which is quite unusual.

PCB recently have made spinner friendly pitches during England and West indies test series where it's extremely difficult to score runs. England lost the test series mainly due to spinning tracks in Pakistan.
