It's really hard to come back from four knockdowns, Joshua should take a mandatory 6 months vacations from the right, because of the serious beating he got from Ruiz, Ruiz can take his punch I wonder how can he beat Ruiz now, will he dance away and do a hit and run knowing that one punch can hurt him and bring him down.

AJ then needs to conquer his demon now. Well a mandatory vacation or fight should be the right way, but I guess he really knows that his lost was something to do with him under estimating the "mexican butter bean".

Ruiz will train hard to retain the belt

Ruiz will train hard to get a snickers  Cheesy He is more motivated with chocolate than with the belt.

LOL, I'm sure his father are going to train his kid more than the first time. After all Junior became the first Mexican to hold the belt in heavyweight so they really need to focus on training.

However, I still think that AJ can get over Andy Jr in their rematch. He will lost everything here, and we all know that a great fighter usually respond to this kind of pressure when their career in on the line.

Joshua to win is 1.29 while Ruiz to win is 3.30.

This line does not show respect to the champion, those ruiz fans out there should take their odds now. (it's a gift)

I couldn't imagine this ratio because one thing is sure with this rematch that, Anthony Joshua will not give it up to Andy and will not this fight with negligence as we have seen in the last fight, I probably think that we are going to see a fight to last. As I have said earlier, if Joshua lost to Andy he would be facing his retirement and his life goals aborted.

It's a trap not a gift, remember that it's an upset win by Ruiz even though that it's not a one punch KO but still boxing fans considered that an upset. That 3.30 odds will go higher as fight approaches and when we can see that Joshua is really training hard to redeem himself.

This rematch is just a formality that the time of Andy Ruiz holding the belt is over. I can't see a chance that he would win the rematch as Joshua will be more careful this time and he need not to slug it out with Ruiz, just score points and he will win the fight.

It could be a good strategy, just used his reach and try to win every round. But I have doubts that Joshua will do that. I mean he just lost his belt and probably lost his biggest payday with the Wilder fight which have been plan for many years. I'm sure he will be careful, but at the back of his mind he needs to win impressively to get back in track and pursue a Wilder and Fury match that will bring more money for him.

If Joshua is training hard so is Ruiz yes it is upset but it's not a lucky punch, it's a total dominance and superiority, it would have been better if it is a one-punch wonder, but it's not, Ruiz dominated Joshua and he is not even afraid to go toe to toe, I'm sure he will do a hit and run tactics no way he can win by going toe to toe.

If you are fighting as a champion even if you are picking and choosing your opponents there is no point in making excuses that he was not prepared as one punch could literally change the fight in the heavy weight division and everyone knows to throw a punch, he was defeated because Andy Ruiz was much technically sound and faster than Anthony Joshua expected and i hope he will be better prepared next time.

I'll go for Andy Ruiz, he is technically a superior fighter than Joshua, can take a punch, very fast hands, can go toe to toe, Joshua is going to be in real trouble, all of Joshua's opponent is afraid of him, but not Ruiz after the knockdown he got up and knock him down and Joshua is never the same again, he will never be the same again when they meet again.

I will also go with Andy Ruiz in this rematch, for a fact that he really destroyed Joshua that night. He has good chin and can take Joshua's best punch so I doubt that there will be changes in the second fight. For sure Joshua will be the aggressor here, but we have seen that Ruiz has a good defence and once he hits Joshua again, the memories of the first fight will comeback and haunt him.

It's obviously Joshua will so curious to defeat Ruiz because on the first fight there was a speculation that Joshua underestimate Ruiz and he was lost so he have to going back from his latest lost and it's necessary to restore Joshua mental but since this fight held on december then i will wait until near of fight to decide which boxers should i pick because in my view both of boxers have equal chance to became the winner of this fight

For me they don't have an equal chance, Joshua being a challenger has a better chance of winning because he is the favorites in any sportsbook, when sportsbook makes odds, they know which player is better and the fact that people still think that the last fight was an upset or Ruiz got lucky, he needs to prove it twice and Joshua would not allow that to happen again.

The odds favor AJ to regain his belts  Shocked
Yup, one time lost doesn't mean that AJ is done. Considering he didn't get a severe injury, he unlikely to be "punch drunk."
However, as bettor, 2-3x for Ruiz looks pretty tempting in this situation.

Certainly, a single loss does not or should not determine the rest of your fights. But to a lot of fighters there is an indelible psychological effect of their first loss, and for this matter Joshua's American debut as well. This is going to be a very big deal of a fight for Joshua. I am looking at it as his single opportunity to be able to regain the direction of his boxing career. His loss might mean a boxing career spiraling down.

On the technical side, I think Joshua needs to give more jabs and maximize his reach advantage. Ruiz has penetrated a lot in their first fight.

I will have to wait and see before finally deciding to whom my bet goes.

It's really tempting but I have a doubt with the odds of Ruiz if betting with some serious money, if I do it for fun, maybe I would bet a little for Ruiz to win.
Joshua is the better fighter prior to the fight but he got careless, this rematch, for sure he will not be aggressive and he will just beat Ruiz through scoring since he is in taller and he has a better reach.

This is a match that difficult to predict, but  AJ (1/3) is still more favorable to win this match than Ruiz (9/4). If AJ can prepare and train properly (not like in the previous fight), I think he will win.

If you ask me, i would say the first match was staged report also confirmed Anthony Joshua made alot of money from that match and who knows he might have placed a big money bet against himself through someone.  Joshua is far better than Andy Ruiz both physically and in their fighting skills so if this match don't get staged like the previous I don't think Andy Euiz can have a chance against our Joshua. He's a Nigerian, he's my pick any day any time. He has proven himself to be one of the best in the business so I foresee him winning.

It was just confirmed that the fight is going on December 7th in Saudi Arabia. Tons of huge fights comming on there. Khabib's next fight is in Abu Dabbi. Big moves in the fight game by the middle east...

Matchroom Sport has officially confirmed that the anticipated rematch between Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua will take place on December 7th in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom will hold a press conference this coming Monday in London, to discuss the details of the event.

The card is being called "Clash on The Dunes."

Who are you going with? I see Joshua actually showing up with some balls and focus that night and getting the job done to redeem himself, which will make the Wilder vs Joshua/Tyson vs Joshua fight relevant again.

As much as I want Andy to win again because he is such a likeable guy and a hardworker, I don't really see it. I mean if Ruiz knocks the fuck out Joshua's chin again then it's pretty much over, he should retire. I think he is aware of this fact and he isn't going to let this happen twice. I give Joshua an 8th round KO. But this is an extremely risky bet. Honeslty im not even sure if I want to get involved in this one. Ruiz can really pull it again. I want to see the odds before I make a decision.

Anthony Joshua is more strong than Andy Ruiz and in this second match Joshna will be hot favorite to win this one. Also the odds suggests the same.
There are still around 100 days before we get to see the most anticipated event.

This rematch is just a formality that the time of Andy Ruiz holding the belt is over.
We knew boxing very well, and the two fighters are only waiting for a “Single” good punch to bring opponent to defeat so more or less its either Joshua will mak Ruiz end the reign or Ruiz will seat another time to have the belt
Quote
I can't see a chance that he would win the rematch as Joshua will be more careful this time
Same will Ruiz will do as well, being defending champion is a defensive position and Joshua must break the def before he can earn that belt

and he need not to slug it out with Ruiz, just score points and he will win the fight.
He needs Knockout for me to have the win or else it will favor for Ruiz again

His loss might mean a boxing career spiraling down

Agree with this point

We may want to recall how Lennox Lewis lost to Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman in his first fights with them. His losses were completely unexpected by KO's (especially with Rahman). So it came as no surprise that he massively overwhelmed them both in the subsequent rematches as the losses made him only stronger

This is not the case with Joshua as he seemed reluctant to continue fighting in the last rounds after the first knockdown by Ruiz (who visibly showed balls after being almost downed himself), and lost more psychologically than physically to his opponent, the meaning being that it may be very difficult for him to recover, psychologically

Technically, he wasn't knocked out but rather surrendered, and it looked like he was no more interested in boxing at all just like Mike Tyson after the loss to Lennox Lewis in 2002 (whatever fights he had afterwards) or even Lennox himself after the elder Klitchko (unlike Tyson, he knew better and retired)

Anthony Joshua is more strong than Andy Ruiz and in this second match Joshna will be hot favorite to win this one. Also the odds suggests the same

He may be stronger as far as physical conditions are concerned, but in boxing it is not all and far from being all. Judging by his fight with Ruiz, Joshua didn't show himself as a tough fighter at all, the Corrie Sanders style (or even the elder Klitchko who proved he could withstand a lot of heavy beating)

I am going for Ruiz here.

Joshua will be more focused in this fight and will no longer underestimate his opponent but the confidence of Ruiz coming into this fight from knocking out the former champ will be immense.

It's a long wait before the fight, I hope no injuries happen to both fighters while training.
