It will depends on what project you invest on. If the project is fast developing, you won't need much time to wait.

When I invest, I never sell them too soon. Usually I hold for a long time and sell when I have a profit of 50-100%. And when I trade, I will try to sell them as soon as possible. about 3-5% and I will sell it all

I think for now if you invest in bitcoin, you don't have to wait long to make a profit because if you check on the market, bitcoin price changes every day. I see that if the price is down this week, then in the next week, the price can increase higher and that means, you only need to wait for a week to see the price increase. After that, you can sell the bitcoin to make a profit, or you can wait for another day to sell, but it is better to take the profit first because there is no guarantee for the price to increase in a few days later.

Sometimes,  while in investing in some projects i don't tend to stay long . After the the price is about the ICO price i sell. But you have to look at the project development and the use cases if it worth a long term. There are alot of projects that did more than just a pump but moon.

Sometimes, people are greedy if they see their medium-term investment has reached their target price and they still hold the coin for a long-term but suddenly, the price is getting dump too deep. That will make them cannot sell at the target price, and that makes them wait for a very long time to see the price is rise again. That will make them sad because they don't sell when the price reaches the target price.
