I believe that everyone knows that, and that is why the market has created two choices and it depends on which one you fell will be best for you based on your goal and your level of patience. We have short term investment for those who would not like to wait for so long to make profit and are okay with quite any amount of money that they can make at that possible time, while there is also an opportunity for those who believes that the long they stay with the project, the more they are being rewarded for doing so.

For me, I prefer to go in for both, I have an investment where I have to wait till the project I invested in grows to the fullest, while I also have an investment where I use to make profit in a short while, that does not have to wait for too long.

You are right. It all depends on the type of investment desired, long term or short term. The market is not yet fully conducive, there are still many pitfalls that make in-depth analysis even chaotic. Especially the influence of news and rumours. I tend to choose short-term investments, day trading. If there is a good opportunity then enter the exchange, take profit, even if it's small, it's okay, hit and run.

If you want to do investments, then it would be a long time holding.
But what you said is not investments and more like speculation because there is a different meaning on both of them. "Sell it anytime?" It's more like trading and not investing.

I often experience this, I wait when the token that I invest rises, I finally lose the opportunity to sell this token when the price is good enough, maybe I have to wait 1 or 2 years to get the price as I expected. so I have to change strategy now, don't have to wait long, sell tokens when they go up, and buy when they go down, you will be lucky even though we don't get much profit.
